WHAT'S ON YOUR WORKDESK WEDNESDAY

I bet most of you cannot believe that yet another week has gone by. Surely that just goes to show that some one has shortened the days. Any one going to own up then?? It wasn't me, I promise, I'm a victim too.
I have been really busy planning bookmarks for Heather's swap, actually making them and of course, getting as much of the glorious sunshine we had here in the north west, Saturday to Monday. I've finished the bookmarks and posted them but can't show you what I made until next month as the swap runs until 31 July.
So, my little space looks like this today:

I finally found the 9 new Stickles colours, there's a Marianne design die for 'twisted' flowers, the funny looking rubber ring is what was left after I put together some alphabet stamps, my crop-o-dile is out of it's box, there's my Liz Earle note book and a rather scary looking orangutan face from one of 'T's' birthday cards.

Aren't those Stickles just yummy?
I am sort of up to date at the moment with cards etc and ready for nursing the invalid when the 19th comes around. I hope therefore, to have a bit of time this week to pop around to yours, courtesy of our wonderful leader Julia, for a good 'ol nosey at your work space. I hope you are ready and waiting.

INKY NOEL

I had a play with alcohol inks yesterday in order to make bases for a batch of ATCs.

I used stream, denim, stonewashed and silver which I dabbed all over the cards. I then stamped the tree and word using archival ink. The beads were white so I coloured those with the alcohol inks and stuck them to the bottom of the card with glossy accents. I managed to find enough oil on water effect snowflakes which again I stuck down with glossy accents covering the little hole in the middle with a seed bead. I then fastened the snowflake brad using my crop a dile.

As usual, I made a mess and had fun.

ON THE TELE!!

I've made it - famous at last!!

Did you see the 4pm QVC show today - We are Memory Keepers? and did you listen to the caller who was praising the Big Bite and Crop-A-Dile?

IT WAS ME.

Where the courage to ring in came from I don't know because I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. We really did use the Big Bite to punch holes through the wooden backing, felt and wadding in order to fasten our son in law's medals and badges to the display case my hubby made for him. It worked a treat and the finished article is gorgeous and has been well received.

Julien was his usual lovely self and Andrew was most generous in saying that Mick should be thanked for the service he has given to his country. I was very emotional at that lovely gesture and have passed those words on.

Wow!
