On the 30th December 2011, another Tundra Bean goose and the third for Clare turned up at Lough Muchanagh in the field where the Greylag Geese and Pink-footed Goose feed. Hard to believe that after 109 years two Bean geese should turn up in the space of a couple of days of each other.

Pink-footed Goose
The same afternoon as the Bean goose and the Pink-footed Geese at Liscannor 27th December 2011, we visited Lough Muchanagh near Tubber to see the Pink-footed Goose that has been present there for a couple of weeks. The bird was still in the same field with a flock of Greylag Geese.
