Year of the Dragon



Blurbles excitedly gets off the bus on Wednesday.  "Mom, Mom! I learned about the Chinese New Year.  You were born in the year of the dragon!! That's so cool.  Bug was born the year of the Pig.  And...(he gets a mischevious smile)...Puppa was born the year of the...rat. 

Later he told me, "I think you shouldn't have been born the year of the Dragon, cause (looking at his homework sheet), they have lots of energy...and you don't...you are always tired.  Also, I think you should have been born the year of the dog, because because they are loyal, thinkers and good speakers.  That sounds more like you." 

I wasn't sure if I should be offended...or flattered.  :)
