Kermit Thank You

This fun card is for one of my colleagues who has just stepped down from a regional committee he's served on for 10 years.  He's a great guy with a fantastic sense of humour, so I thought he'd get a kick out of this card, as apposed to a sappy thank you card.  He happens to also be a musician who has his own band, hence the addition of Kermit playing the banjo.  I hope he likes it.  If nothing else, he'll love the gift card inside! lol   :)

I used a few images from the net and created the sentiments and printed them off.   Paired it with some manly-looking dp from the Craftsman Collection by Prima.  In case you can't read the sentiments on the card, they read as,
It's not easy bein' green...
Nor, is it east bein' on a committee this long!

Thanks so much for your dedication!

Lulu Loves Chocolate...

I have a fun pop art style card to share with you today using the Lulu stamp from The Stampsmith. Lulu is sold as a single stamp, which includes the thought bubbles and is quite large at about 4" x 5.5".

I cut her out and added the sentiment, 'Who needs a man When you can have chocolate' from the Say It Like It Is stamp sheet.

My project is 8" x 8". I made it a bit larger than I normally do, just because the main focal image was quite large and I wanted room to embellish with lots of bling. Not sure what I'm going to do with this...my hubby might get offended if I put it up in my house! :) I do love chocolate, but not sure if I like it more than him. On a funny note, my kids have always told us they like us more than a chocolate donut! That's quite a compliment, eh? lol :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends celebrating this weekend! We're about to have a big Ham Dinner with Spiced Raisin Sauce and all the fixings. Yum! Yum! I'm thankful for the wonderful family that I have, for wonderful friends that surround me, for my fulfilling job at a children's charity, food that's always on my table and for my house that's full of everything that I need - including the stuff that I don't really need, like all craft supplies in my studio! :)

I giggled while I made this card last night. This Stampsmith photostamp of Serena is such a beautiful image and she looks like she's thinking about something...hence me adding this funny Stampsmith sentiment from Twosomes - Say What? for a bit of humour! :)

Just a reminder that you have until this Thursday, Oct. 14th to submit your entries to our first Stampsmith Challenge for a chance to win some new rubber! The theme is "All Dressed Up." The winner will be announced on Friday, Oct. 15th along with samples for our next challenge! Please come on over and play along in the fun!

A Funny Card

This is the card that I made when the girls came over on Tuesday night. I wanted to make a funny card and thought the saying on this stamp that I borrowed from Kim was hilarious! In case you can't read it, it says, 'You're just jealous because the voices are talking to me.' That's so me! lol :) I thought about what I would put with this stamp and I decided on a snobby girl image and some fun swirly patterned paper. I think it turned out kinda cute. :)

Well, no vomiting by Alexandria so far today, and she feels good. I did keep her home from school today, but as long as she stays like she is, she'll be going back tomorrow. I think I'll let them go play in the yard while I do a bit of gardening. It's a beautiful day out - nice and sunny and warm. Gotta get out and enjoy it before it starts raining again!

Housework Funny...

I decided to make a funny card this afternoon with a few stamps that I borrowed from Kim. By the way, I really do housework...I don't like doing it, but I do it! I just don't feel like doing housework today, so I thought this might be appropriate for how I feel with being sick and I thought this saying was too funny! :)

Well, think I'll go have a rest seeing as Jim got home from work early and he can watch the kids.
