I'm sorry to be so late in doing the drawing for a purple prize, I've been having some computer problems.  Thank you for being so patient and for participating.

Bye to MJ - Purple Give-Away

 MJ said Good Bye to us last week.

She dressed in a new purple outfit for the trip to her next host.

Jaynie and I are happy to see that she made it safely

and is now with  Gwen  in South Carolina


We will be looking in to see her next adventures.

Give-Away Gifts to Jennifer and Faby

Jennifer and Faby   have show both received their gifts that they won in my last give-away so I can show  you my pictures. 

First for Jennifer I made a few books and book marks.

I added a few pages with pictures of cupcakes to the cookbook, I know that Sophie and Flossy enjoy baking and like cupcakes.

I also made a journal with blank pages, 2 pens, a romance paperback and included 2 silver frames, that can also be used as trays.

I also sent a few porcelain vase beads. I added a bit of plastic plant in one. I didn't glue it, it can be changed if wanted.

Jennifer let me know that she likes red, so I included a piece of red lace that I think would make a lovely bed spread. I left it unfinished so that Jennifer can use it as she likes.

I sent both Faby and Jennifer an assortment of veggies, I only took a picture of one, they were very much alike.

I sent Faby a few books, the stone vase with flowers that she let me know she liked and a vase with plants.

I made 2 special journals for Faby with
'Il Mio Diario' (My Journal) on the spines.

Also 2 pens, bookmarks, 2 silver frames and a romance paperback.

And 4 small plastic chairs.

Just before I packaged up their gifts I made some bathroom brushes and necklaces so I added these also.  The ones on the left to Jennifer and right for Faby.


I'm trying to make a brush holder but have not figured it out, yet.



I didn't take pictures of the clamps that I sent to both and some how missed the baby bottles that I included in Jennifer's package,  you can see more pictures on Jennifer's and Faby's  blogs.

I'm so happy that they liked these gifts that I sent them in my mother's honor, I can imagine my mom smiling.

I used the tutorial from Bruita's minis blog as a guide to make the pens.
If you try your hand at making these, for a more realistic look, use opaque bugle and seed beads, not translucent. I used plain white glue and it seems to have held fine.

I used the tutorial from Joanne's minis blog  for the bathroom brush.  If you don't know Joanne's blog you need to go visit, you will find many great tips, ideas, tutorials and projects, including a weekly trash-to-treasures tutorial.

The paperback was made from a printie but I don't know from where.  If I find it I'll add a link.

Give-Away Time

Today would have been my mother's 78th birthday.

My mom enjoyed hearing about my new friends all around the world and the minis they were working on.   She loved seeing all the gifts that you have so generously shared with me.

So it seemed like a perfect time to offer you a chance to win a gift in her honor.

A Big Day

A drawing, a prize for me, my blog anniversary and a new blog.

First:   My cat's name is   SPOT 

I decided that no one guessed his name correctly so I will do a drawing.
I gave everyone a number by order of first participation.

BTW  -  Spot was Data's cat on the 'Star Trek, Next Generation'  TV Series and was also in the the movie 'Star Trek, Generations', which came out in Nov of 1994.   We decided to take our Spot in just before we left to see the movie, we stopped and bought a cat collar on our way home.   As you saw by his nose he has freckles or spots, he also has them on his ears and the bottoms of  his paws.  He also loves to slide into our seat or our spot as soon as we get up and sometimes before we really get up. I think that it is a good name for him.

Second:  I received Jazzi's darling give-away prize.  Jaynie and I love these beautiful pillows/cushions.  These will be great in Jaynie's Loft.  I'm just not sure if Jaynie is going to have a bedroom yet or just an office/craftsroom with a daybed.








Third:  I started blogging one year ago today.   I'm so glad that I did, it has been a great experience.  I feel very lucky  that I have found so many friends.

Fourth:  I started a new blog  M's Lists   to try to  get a bit more organize.  I started by organizing a fairly long list of mini tutorials,   I will continue to add more.   I hope that you will take a look and let me know what you think.

Another Clue

I'm going to give you another clue, you can make another guess today.  If no one guesses correctly, I'll do a drawing tomorrow, Monday about noon my time, giving 1 chance to each person who participated in my game.    The good part  of it going this long is that I keep thinking of more things to add to the prize package.

I think this clue will help but I don't want to just give it away.

We are sci-fi fans and we took our cat in, in the fall of 1994.

Happy Friday 13th

I think today is a good day to give you the chance to win a prize.

This is a picture of my cat taken a couple of weeks ago, he loves getting into my chair as soon as I get up.
