Send a smile exchange : from Olimpia to Preeti !:)))

I was so glad to receive Olimpia's parcel all the way from Mexico to India and she has been successful in sending a smile to me :) I loved it !! Thank you, Olimpia!!:)

Here is what I got :

A cute Margaret Sherry kitten design coaster!! I am not going to use it as a coaster and spoil it instead I will put it on my craft room notice board. I was touched when I saw she stitched my name on it :) So sweet!!

These are the goodies :

Mexican handicrafts- bookmark, miniature dolls, appliqued purse; 

lovely designer buttons

letter, postcard, tissues and lovely fabric

I loved the applique on the purse and the miniature dolls are my daughter's favourite too!!! Buttons are my weakness, I love them!!!

She also generously shared a sewing themed fabric which I had earlier seen and liked on her blog once. I love sewing/crafting themed fabrics and they are not easily found in all the stores.

Olimpia wrote a sweet letter to me and she has drawn a plane (see envelope in the image) from her house in Mexico to my house in India...that's very cute !!:))
Perhaps, I should ask my hubby to buy a house with helipad so that my parcels will land sooner because I was getting impatient about my parcel ;)

My hubby is in U.S.A. right now and I am missing him badly and I was sad but when I received my parcel, it brought a smile on my face and made me very happy:))

Glamour Puss !!

Hello,

Just wanted to share one of my favourites....The Glamour Puss :)

 

 

 

I did not stitch french knots on the title letters as given in the chart because I am not good at those and they generally turn out slightly big. I thought it would mess up the letters. What do you say? Does this looks fine too?

 

My Spring Cat is still pending for backstitching. Hopefuly, I will complete it this month end.

SAL #5 update !

Hello all,
Here is my update on SAL #5 Spring Bouquet.

Almost done. Just the backstitching is left but my eyes are getting tired after I am done with my routine stuff. I guess it will take few or many days to complete just the backstitching.

I am happy I got until this much done :)

YAY !!! My first Margaret Sherry cross stitch is finally completed!!!

Presenting you all , my first Margaret Sherry cross stitch finish 'Garden adventure' ! :)

I am so excited to share with you all. I did not wash the finished piece and managed only a bit of ironing. I am thinking of making a small bag with it to keep sachets of gardening seeds.

This design is from the magazine ‘The world of Cross stitching’ June 2013 issue. Hedgehogs are my favorites. They are going to be next on my list.

Hello dear MSlovers ! :)

Newcomer? No, it is not about a new Margaret Sherry chart. A new MS lover, of course!!!:)

I just popped in to introduce myself.

Known as ‘Preeti’, I have pretty much improved on my needlework after I left my full time job to enjoy my hobbies. I started my creative pursuits seven months back on my blog 'Creat-E-Witty Unleashed'. I came to know about the cute Margaret Sherry creations through a lovely friend from blogland, Nia, who then introduced and invited me to join this group. I haven't stitched any Margaret Sherry creation so far, but I plan to do so very soon. After all, the inspiration here cannot stop me from trying out those cool charts. I am glad and love to be here. Thank you for creating this beautiful group and making me a part of this! :)
