Time flies for sure! I made a few things but I couldn't find a minute to come to post or talk a bit with my blogging friends.

El tiempo vuela seguro! Hice algunas cosas pero no pude encontrar un minuto para postear y charlar un rato con mis amigas blogueras. 

 

 

 

My Blue Cotton Cardigan is done. It was finished about 2 weeks ago but no time to get the buttons.

Mi Cardigan de Algodon Azul ya esta. Lo tenia ya terminado hace 2 semanas pero no el tiempo para conseguir los botones.

 

These 3 Pouch Bags were made about 3 weeks ago.

They were for gifts for 3 nice friends invited for Tea.

Eran para regalar a 3 encantadoras amigas que invite para el Te.

I had some tea cups with no handles and so very hot for the hands,

so I made a pad to each one.

Also a Cosy for the Tea pot.

 

Tenia unas tazas sin agarraderas muy calientes para las manos, asi que les hice un forro a cada una.

Tambien a la tetera.

 

Our dear friends Yutaka and Chizuko  from Osaka visited us for a week. What a lovely week it was!

Merry Christmas, a table quilt , a wool cardigan

I love Christmas! I love "almost everything" about it. Parties with friends, sending and receiving Cards or emails, gift preparations, home decorations, prepare food and family and friends get together specially But one think I dislike about Christmas is to have to go to the Shops. I adore the way they decorate all and the music , the fun etc. BUT I HATE THE PARANOIA of the last few days when everybody seems to go crazy buying anything. Just wondering if they remember we are celebrating the Birth of Jesus?and having nice time with family and friends, no ransacking the Shops abusing Credit cards to impress others. Well, I said it.

Amo la Navidad! Amo "casi todo" de la Navidad. Fiestas con amigos, enviar y recibir Tarjetas o emails, preparacion de los regalos, decorar la casa, preparer las comidas y pasar con la familia y amigos especialmente.
Pero una cosa que no me gusta para nada de la Navidad es tener que ir a los comercios. Adoro como los decoran y la musica, las diversions etc. PERO ODIO LA PARANOIA de los ultimos dias cuando todos parecen enloquecidos comprando cualquier cosa. Sera que recuerdan que estamos celebrando el Nacimiento de Jesus? y pasando gratamente con los amigos y la familia, no saqueando comercios abusando de las Tarjetas de Credito para impresionar a otros. Bien, lo dije.

Table Quilt done! and a Cat eating fish Bag for a friend

I am so happy to return to my routine. This Table Quilt I started beginning of November, then we had visitors and so many parties and holidays and I got stack there.
Is great to return to our needles! Here is finally finished.

Estoy muy feliz de retornar a mi rutina. Este Quilt de Mesa lo habia empezado a principio de Noviembre, despues tuvimos visitas y tantas fiestas y vacaciones que se quedo interrumpido ahi.
Genial poder retornar a mis agujas! Aqui esta finalmente acabado.

 

I used some blue cottons, I can' t explain why I keep going to blues.

I like all other colours too.

I also made this bag with a "Cat eating his fish", will go to a dear friend who is nuts about cats.

My latest Shalom, a quilt for my table and a Orinuno bag

My turquoise Shalom Vest is done (finally!) Never took me that long.

Mi Chaleco turquesa Shalom esta listo (finalmente!) Nunca me llevo tan largo.

 

For the dining table I had for a while a lovely fabric with large and beautiful blue hydrangeas. It was waiting in the cupboard  for long but this week was the time. As border I used other fabrics that blend well, plus batting with linings to give good body. Here it is the quilt for my table.

Para la mesa del comedor tenia por algun tiempo esperando una tela preciosa con grandes  y hermosas hortencias azules. Estuvo esperando en el armario largo tiempo pero esta semana fue la hora. Como guarda use otras telas que  coordinan bien, mas acolchado y forros para darle suficiente cuerpo. Aqui esta el acolchado para mi mesa.

Whoever wants to make it, is so easy!

Make 15 circles-1 fabric one side, another for the other side.

Cualquiera que quiera hacerla, es muy facil!

Hacer 15 circulos-una tela de un lado, y otra al otro lado.

 

Carefully nip the edges before turn them inside out and press.

Con cuidado hacer cortecitos en las orillas antes de dar la vuelta del derecho y planchar.

 

Add batting to lining and quilt. Add a internal pocket.

Acolchar el forro. Agregar bolsillo interno.

 

 

 

Square pattern to join evenly the pieces.
