I left for the end my favourite part.
This is Curtis the son of my friend Cristina.
He is only 8 and the half years old and very keen to learn sewing.
Last year was the turn to teach his older sister Amelia- you might remember how good she was.
Anyway, Curtis had a day in my sewing room and what a jolly 6 hours was that!
It was his first time to handle a machine, so I prepared for him a low table with a domestic machine-all for his size.

Este es Curtis el hijo de mi amiga Cristina.
El tiene solo 8 años y medio y muy entusiasmado de aprender a coser.
El año pasado fue el turno de enseñarle a su hermana mayor Amelia- talvez recuerdan
lo buena que era.
Asi fue que Curtis tuvo un dia de costura en mi taller y que 6 horas de placer fueron esas!
Fue su primera vez en usar una maquina, asi que prepare para el una mesita baja con una maquina domestica- todo a su medida.

First he learnt to sew strait seams, so he put together strips of fabrics.
In no time at all he was joining them to get this rod-string bag with a tiny one from leftovers.

Primero aprendio a coser costuras rectas, asi que unia tiras de telas.
Pronto ya las unia para hacer este bolsito con tirador y otro pequeñito de los sobrantes.
I have to mention it was his idea of attaching the 2 bags with Velcro together .

With some help he continued with the other bags totally designed by him.
