Snapdragons - Stacy Stamps

A few months ago I took a class from Stacy of Stacy Stamps at a local stamp store.  She has beautiful nature images and I especially love her flowers.  I stamped and colored my image first then placed a smaller square piece of cardstock over the image and traced around it  with a pencil.  I cut it out by hand and around the blooms.  Some matting and rhinestones and I'm done.
  • Stamps: Stacy Stamps - Snapdragon 3102AA (pg 30 of the catalog)
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  SEI - Sunny Day 6x6, Neenah Solar White, PTI black cardstock

Stacy's Hydrangea

Since it's June I thought it was time for another hydrangea card.  The bloom and text are from Stacy Stamps.  I masked the bloom before I stamped the text.  Copics were used for color and I finished it off with a double bow.  I tried to copy the color of my Preziosa hydrangea but failed miserably! (see below, too pink, not enough purple)  The bloom starts out white and slowly turns to a soft pinkish purple. Card measures 4.25 x 6.25.
  • Stamps: Stacy Stamps - Hydrangea, Floral Word Background
  • Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onxy Black
  • Paper: Bo Bunny - Vicki B 6x6, PTI Green Leaf & Black, Neenah Solar White
  • Other:  Bow Easy, SU! Black taffeta Ribbon, Spellbinders Curved Rectangles. Viva Pearl Pen in gold for flower centers, Martha butterfly punch

Stacy's Snapdragons

A few weeks ago I took a class from Stacy of Stacy Stamps at a local stamp store.  She has beautiful nature images and I especially love her flowers.  We did a card with a slim panel like the one above and I just had to recreate it.  After you stamp the image you cover it with a slim rectangle of cardboard or cardstock so that some of the image sticks out on either side.  Make a pencil mark around the rectangle and hand cut it out around the flowers that stick out.  Color, mat and you're done!

Finished card is an A-2 and the floral panel is adhered with foam tape.  The edges of the card are embossed with my Scor-Buddy.

  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper:  SEI - Sunny Day 6x6, Neenah Solar White, PTI black cardstock
  • Other: Copics, Scor-Buddy

Sparrow in Dogwood

Here is another card with Stacy Stamps Chipping Sparrow.  Even though he is still on a dogwood branch, the flowers are peach!  Peach matched the paper I wanted to use for this card.  Eventually I'll do another with pink dogwood flowes.  I have 2 pink dogwood trees in my garden and I can't wait for them to bloom in April.
  • Stamp: Chipping Sparrow 1077BB by Stacy Stamps
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: Neenah Natural White, Kaisercraft Secret Bird Society
  • Other: Copic Markers, pearls, SU! Early Espresso taffeta ribbon
