workshop Stampingcorner 12 en 13 februari 2016

Today I want to show you the results of 2 days of workshops at the Stampingcorner, working with several top brands like Chocolate Baroque, Magenta, Woodware and Indigo Blue.

We had two workshops on one day, one with the acrylic bloc technique, stamping and embossing layers on the background, than some embossing, coloring and decoupaging of the large flowers.

The 2nd workshop was one using some lovely Woodware roses and we worked with a ' painting technique' on canvas paper.

Well, here they are......first starting with the CB flowers, this time the Sunny Sunflowers, I've combined them with the lovely Studded Lattice and Baroque Orchids backgrounds. The quote and the Swirly leaves are from Magenta.

Vandaag wil ik jullie de resultaten laten zien van de 2 dagen workshops bij de Stampingcorner waar we werkten met diverse topmerken zoals Chocolate Baroque, Magenta, Woodware en Indigo Blue.

We hadden twee workshops op 1 dag, een met de acrylblok techniek en diverse lagen stempelen en embossen op de achtergrond. Hierna embossen, inkleuren en uitknippen van de grote bloemen.

Bij de tweede workshop hebben we de mooie rozen van Woodware gestempeld op het canvas papier en de ' schilder'  techniek gedaan.

Zo, hier zijn ze dan........te beginnen met de Chocolate Baroque bloemen, deze keer de Sunny Sunflowers.  Ik heb ze gecombineerd met de Studded Lattice en de Baroque Orchids van CB.

De tekst en swirl blaadjes zijn van Magenta.

Alle stempels en materialen zijn bij de Stampingcorner te koop.

De linken die bij de Nederlandse tekst staan verwijzen dan ook naar de Stampingcorner.

This sentiment is also from Magenta and is great when you don't have much space left on your work....

I've added also some pearl pen accents here.

I have used Distress inks for the background and also for the coloring of the flowers and leaves.

Deze tekst is ook van Magenta en is super als je nog maar weinig ruimte over hebt op je werk.....

Ik heb ook nog wat parel pen accenten toegevoegd.

Than onto the 2nd colourscheme, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord. First I have coloured the Baroque Orchids on the background using Distresss inks and gave accents with color pencils.

This is the Daisy Ring centre flowerhead from CB(leaves from Sunny Sunflowers) and again the Baroque Orchids and some Script from Magenta on the background. The quote is one from Daisy Bucket.

Op naar het tweede kleurschema, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Seedless Preserves en Dusty Concord. Eerst heb ik de Baroque Orchids gekleurd met Distress inkt en hierna geaccentueerd met kleurpotloden.

Dit is de Daisy Ring center flowerhead van CB en de blaadjes van de Sunny sunflowers. Ook hier weer de Baroque Orchid en het Script van Magenta op de achtergrond. De tekst is van Daisy Bucket.

Natuurlijk mag de witte Molotov acrylmarker niet ontbreken.

And the last one using these fresh greens.......again one of the Sunny Sunflowers and on the background the Baroque Orchids. The sentiment from Magenta.

En de laatste met deze frisgroene tinten.... weer een van de mooie Sunny sunflowers en de Baroque Orchids. De tekst van Magenta.

Onto the 2nd part of the workshop... stamped roses just like a painting......

Most of the participants found this technique difficult........it's more than just filling in with colors.......it's important to know where to accentuate the shadow and not following all the lines because it will be massive.......some stamps have lines or points in the shadow areas but these stamps are open and you have to look very good to see where to put shadow.....

I had two great groups of participants who weren't following the ' teacher' but used their own colors and lay-out.......I always encourage that .......use your own fantasy and way!

Ik had twee fijne groepen die zeker niet alleen maar de ' juf' volgden maar hun eigen idee en kleuren gebruikten! Super, dat moedig ik juist aan...gebruik je eigen fantasie en je eigen-wijs.

The next one is one of the rose samples using Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Worn Lipstick and Aged Mahogany. The  two roses are from Woodware, the Honeycomb, Script and craquele background stamp from Indigo. The Wood texture and sentiment from Magenta. The Damask ornament is from Daisy Bucket.

Op naar het tweede gedeelte van de workshop........gestempelde rozen, net een schilderij......

De meeste deelnemers vinden dit een moeilijke techniek.......het is meer dan alleen inkleuren......belangrijk te weten waar je de schaduw moet zetten, zeker als de stempel dit niet aangeeft. Ook niet alle lijnen aanzetten en volgen want dan wordt het erg massief.......sommige stempels hebben daar lijnen of puntjes zodat je weet waar de schaduw zit maar deze rozen zijn helemaal open.

Dit was een van de voorbeelden, Peeled Paint, Forest Moss, Worn Lipstick en Aged Mahogany. De rozen zijn van Woodware en kun je hier vinden.

De Honey comb, Script en Craquele achtergrond zijn van Indigo Blue en hier te vinden.

Het Damask ornament is van Daisy Bucket.

And on some of the background of these cards you will see some sparkle, wondering what it is? I' have used the Viva Decor Hologram Sparkle gel with some Magenta stencils, you can find them here (Mosaic) and here.(Grid)

Op sommige van de achtergronden zie je wat sparkles, dit is de Kristall gel van Viva Decor, superieur spul! Ik heb het gebruikt op een paar leuke Magenta stencils die je ook hier kunt vinden. Ze heten Grid en Mosaic.

And the 2nd rose card using Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Picked Raspberry and Blueprint Sketch.

Gilded flakes part 3..........

As promised the last batch of cards made for a demo using gilded flakes and Indigo Blu stamps.

These cards have cool shades and icy colors. Some are with flakes and some without......... I've used the Cosmic Shimmer embossing powders, Crealies snowflake dies,  Memorybox snowflake corner and stencils. At the card below I've used the MB corner die and embossed the die cut with clear embossing powder. Also used partially an embossingfolder.

Zoals beloofd de laatste serie kaarten gemaakt voor de demo Gilded flakes van Indigo Blu en IB stempels. Deze kaarten hebben weer geheel andere kleuren, koele tinten en ijzige kleuren. Een enkele maar met de flakes en de meeste hiervan zijn zonder...........Ik heb de Cosmic shimmer embossing poeders gebruikt, Crealies sneeuwvlokken, Memorybox sneeuwvlok hoek snijmal en stencils. Bij de kaart hieronder heb ik de MB hoeksnijmal gebruikt en vervolgens geembosst met clear embossingpoeder. Ook heb ik onderin gedeeltelijk een embossing mal gebruikt.

now onto nr. 3, also cool colors and lots of snowflake layering in the background. The top Crealies snowflake is embossed with ultra thick embossing powder and also embossed the Merry Christmas die cut.

op naar nr. 3, koele kleuren en een heleboel sneeuwvlok laagjes in de achtergrond. De bovenste Crealies sneeuwvlok is geembosst met ultradik embossing poeder evenals de Merry Christmas snijmal.

This is a simple one with an acrylic bloc technique background using Distress stains and only embossed the two ornaments, adding some gemstones and gave some white accents. The die is from Elizabeth craft designs.

Een simpele kaart gemaakt met de acrylblok techniek met Distress stains op fluweel papier en alleen de twee ornamenten geembosst, wat glinstersteentjes en witte accenten. De stans is van Elizabeth craft designs.

I've used two colors of embossing powder here; Viola Lavender blaze and Denim Lilac Aurora.

Ik heb twee kleuren embossing poeder gebruikt hier; Viola Lavender Blaze en Denim Lilac Aurora

nr. 5.........a Christmas fantasy.......using molding paste and Inca Gold wax

nr. 6......the last one of this batch and the only one with Gilded flakes......this time I've used Autumn Blaze. The ornament is embossed with Cosmic shimmer Arctic Black and coloured with Distress markers matching the background colors.

nr. 6.......de laatste van de serie en de enige met de gilded flakes.....deze keer heb ik Autumn Blaze gebruikt. Het ornament is geembosst met Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Black Aurora en gekleurd met Distress markers.

A lot of gilded flakes..............

Today I'll show you the cards made with the gilded flakes of Indigo Blu. Some are with flakes and some aren't. I've worked a lot on the canvas paper and the velvet paper. I've used Distress inks, stains and paints and I like them all.........also bought a few of the new Distress sprays. A great add to the Distress range.

I've made the most cards with non traditional Christmas colors......a bit like the sphere of the Northern lights....

Vandaag enkele kaarten met de gilded flakes van Indigo Blu. Sommigen van jullie hebben de kaarten al gezien op de Doe@Ding dagen in het Atlas hotel. Zoals beloofd laat ik jullie ze hier zien. Ik heb veel gewerkt op het canvas en fluweel papier. Beide papiersoorten waren oorspronkelijk op de markt gekomen voor het werken met Pan Pastels maar zijn uitstekend geschikt voor natte achtergronden zoals Distress inkt en water misting. Ik heb zowel Distress inkt als stains en paints gebruikt. Ik vind ze allemaal heerlijk om mee te werken.....ook heb ik wat van de nieuwe Distress sprays gekocht, een gave aanvulling op de Distress lijn.

Ga je mee op deze ' gouden' reis........

Ik heb de meeste kaarten gemaakt met niet traditionele kerstkleuren........ik vind het een beetje weg hebben van het Noorderlicht........

I've used all Indigo Blu stamps and some two toned Cosmic shimmer embossing powders which gives a real beautiful shine. I've also embossed the Crealies snowflakes (no.3)with ultra thick embossing powder. Here I've used the Lancashire rose flakes. Beneath you can see the structure of the canvas.

Ik heb alleen Indigo Blu stempels gebruikt en de tweekleurige Cosmic Shimmer embossing poeders die een prachtige kleur weerschijn hebben. Ik heb hier ook de Crealies sneeuwvlokken(no.3) met ultra dikke embossingpoeder geembosst. Ik heb hier de Lancashire rose flakes gebruikt. Hier beneden zie je de mooie structuur van het canvas papier.

On to card no.2...........with a very rich use of flakes, this time the Morris Dance flakes. And again I've applied them also on the snowflakes from Crealies. They come in a package of two. The Merry Christmas is a die from Elizabeth craft which is also embossed with clear embossing powder. The Christmas ornament is embossed with gold.

Op naar kaart nr. 2......met een rijk gebruik van de vlokken, deze keer de Morris Dance flakes. En ook hier zijn de sneeuwvlokken ermee bewerkt. De sneeuwvlok stansen van Crealies zijn er in 4 soorten en zitten met 2 in een verpakking. De ' Merry Christmas' mal is er een van Elizabeth craft en is geembosst met clear emboss.poeder.

and for now the last one no. 3........a bit of a Nordic card with vintage colors onto the canvas paper. Also the Morris Dance flakes.

en voor nu de laatste........een beetje Noorse kaart in vintage kleuren op het canvas papier. Ook hier de Morris Dance flakes.

Demo cards with Gilded Flakes and Indigo Blue.......

A few weeks ago I had a two day demo and did create several cards using the Indigo Blue Gilded Flakes and stamps. Here are some of those creations........I will show the others too another time

I 've never been working with the flakes before and going all the way with them..... I must say I did enjoyed it very much! It's a nice add to existing shimmers and techniques.

Een paar weken geleden had ik twee demo dagen bij Doe@Ding in Spijkenisse. Het was weer gezellig en weer een hoop bekende gezichten gezien en gesproken. Ik had diverse kaarten gemaakt met de Indigo Blue gilded flakes en stempels. Hier zijn wat van de creaties........Ik zal de anderen te zijner tijd ook laten zien.

Ik had nog nooit met de flakes gewerkt en gaandeweg kreeg ik er steeds meer plezier in......het is een mooie aanvulling op de al reeds bestaande 'glimmers' en technieken.

Here you can see the flakes better.........I've used them on the craquele stamp using silver flakes.(Sheffield steel)

Hier kun je het effect van de flakes wat beter zien in het licht.......ik heb ze gebruikt op de craquele stempel met zilveren flakes(Sheffield steel)

De Indigo Blue materialen kun je hier vinden

And two other creations using a colour combination that I don't use very often.....very soft shades......I've worked on a canvas structure paper and I like it. It works very well with Pan Pastels but also with the acrylic bloc technique using water. At this card I've used no flakes but Perfect Pearls on some areas. Also added the pearls on the flowers. On the end of the stamens I've used a black Wink of Stella pen which gives a lovely shimmer! The small leaves are from Cheery Lynn.

En twee andere creaties met een kleurcombinatie die ik niet vaak gebruik....heel zachte tinten......Ik heb gewerkt op canvas papier en ik vind het zulk heerlijk papier. Zowel voor de Pan Pastels als natte technieken zoald de acrylbloc techniek, super! Op deze kaart heb ik geen flakes gebruikt maar perfect pearls op sommige gedeeltes en ook op de bloemen. Op het eind van de meeldraden heb ik een zwarte Wink of Stella marker gebruikt wat een prachtig glimmertje geeft. Deze markers hebben een fijn kwastje en zijn in diverse kleuren verkrijgbaar.

The use of silver flakes really pops out in this one, lots of layers with Distress inks, perfect pearls and flakes......

Het effect van de zilveren flakes springt er echt uit hier, veel lagen met Distress inkten , Perfect pearls en flakes....
