Moments | Beach Life

M wears: Mint Ship Dress by Kukukid / Black Dino Hoodie by Kukukid
D wears:
Navy Dino Hoodie by Kukukid / Octopus Tee by Kukukid / Mint Ship baggy Pants by Kukukid

Sun, sand, blue sky and with the ocean as backdrop this has been the summers best hang out place. There is nothing better than digging your toes into warm sand and finding a stick and instantly you have the biggest drawing pad in front of you. We love coming down to the beach as I am sure you know by now. It is the best baby sitter as you can perch on the sand dunes with a coffee in hand and just watch them go wild. Loud voices, big jumps and giggles and nobody to tell you off. These lovely soft threads from Kukukid is the perfect beach attire. I love the mint colour in this seasons collection and it is such a great colour for both boys and girls. In fact most items works just as well on boys as on girls because the prints are also unisex.

What you can't see in the photos is the lovely stretch these clothes have. They have such a good fit and because of the nice 5 % spandex content it means your kids can wear it for a longer period of time as they are growing. The great Dino hoodies have been a favourite for a while in our house. Again, both my boy and girl are equally happy for this one and it has... hands down the coolest silhouette ever!

Brand Watch | Mini Rodini / See You Later Alligator SS15

This Mini Rodini Spring/Summer ’15 collection See You Later Alligator is inspired by the fishy life under the aquatic surface. The colours are sea weed green, ocean blue, sand, sunset pink and Florida orange.

Here's Mini Rodini's description of their new even more sustainable collection!

This season, mermaids, mermans, whales, dolphins, sea birds and crocodiles will all cheer when they find out that the beautiful luxurious swimwear collection is made from the finest weave, recycled from PET bottles and other plastic waste. The very same waste that are likely to float around polluting our seas and marine mammals often eat and die.

We have made jackets to wear when sailing in stormy salty waters. Sun hats, caps and shades that protects from the scorching sun when canoeing in the Everglades of Florida. But beware of crocodiles – don’t swim in the swamp! See you later Alligator collection also contains stylishly sustainable dresses, shorts, sweaters, t-shirts and shoes that suits at all occasions, but most practical to wear on dry land.
It’s time to put your super fancy Mini Rodini swimwear, or any other sustainable summer style on and feel proud that you actually are a part of making an environmental change!

SPOTLIGHT | Knitwear by MICAELA GREG

I know its in the middle of summer here in Australia but when I see great knitwear for kids, I simply have to share. How good are these soft knitted pants from Micaela Greg? It might be the only thing that could make me wish for colder weather! The pants comes in size 12 month up to 5yrs.

Micaela Greg is a knitwear label founded by San Francisco based sisters, Marie and Karen Potesta. The sisters transform spool after spool of yarn into effortlessly cool knitwear by combining modern geometric patterns, intermingling textures, and deceptively simple silhouettes. They strive to design visually bold knitwear, with both an artful quality and boyishly cool aesthetic. The collection is proudly made in California, and constructed of the finest quality Italian yarns with the softest hand feel.

Close Up | Tiny Whales AW14

When parcels like this arrive in the mail it is indeed a happy mail day! We have always loved the fun prints of Californian label Tiny Whales, and their AW14 collection is packed with them. If you missed the earlier brand presentation of their new collection you can catch it here.

My boy goes through tees like crazy when the warmer spring/summer days arrive so these 3 will go on high circulation as soon as the warmer winds arrive. I love these three prints and so did the little dude who giggled at the donut and I haven't gotten it of him since. The cap has a truly great fit and where most caps seem to go over my boy's ears this one is just perfect.

The new collection will arrive very early September and if you want to make sure you are not missing the release, make sure you check in on their facebook page or follow on instagram at: @tiny_whales. In the meantime check out their great stash of fresh tees and accessories over at:

More radness coming your way in the form of Tiny Whales AW 14 collection! The US label has created some new cool prints for the mini's that they will absolutely adore (and parents alike). The new collection is full of great unisex prints so its easy to pass them along among siblings. We are loving the fun slogan tees (how cute is Donut Worry Be Happy) The tees are made in 100% cotton jersey and printed and designed in the USA.

Husband and wife team of Shaun & Brittany Wagoner started the label back in 2008 and has had a steady stream of cool collection coming ever since.

Moments | Wild One

M wears: Dress by Kukukid / Leggings by Kukukid / Dino Hoodie by Kukukid / Shoes by Hummel. D wears: Thunderbolt Tee by Kukukid / Dehli Denims by I Dig Denim / Dino Hoodie by Kukukid / Shoes by Vans.

We are a couple of days into holiday and the kids seem to have gotten wild. They crave running and after a few days of begging to go to the skate park we finally went today. They were lucky to be trying out the great Kukukid gear I wrote about in previous post and it was the most fitting attire for a couple of wild, holiday kids.  We love the awesome dino hoodies and as you can see it fits girls as well as boys! It was a sunny but windy day and the wind was cold, but no complaints from the kids since the hoodies are thick and goes far down over the back. It is the perfect winter outfit for Australia or a great Spring/Autumn warmer for Europe.

The kids were admiring their shadows and loved comparing their spikes. Best thing with this label is no doubt their unisex feel because my almost 8 year old girl and almost 5 year old boy seem to be able to wear the same size (7/8) and all garments mix and match and works just as well for both of them.

Hope you are all enjoying your holidays out there (winter or summer)!

Close Up | KUKUKID

A monsterlicious parcel was waiting for us today when we got home from our outdoor adventures. It had a familiar cheeky dinosaur all over it so I instantly knew the kids would be liking what was inside.

I have written about Polish label Kukukid before here, and there is something extra fun about this label with its motto "we're rebel but cute". I love that it's unisex and that both my girl and boy get equally excited about wearing their colourful creations. The fabric is gorgeously soft, and the graphic contrast between the playful monsters and bolts of lightning works well for a mix n match set up between all the garments. We also got the famous dino hoodies which are so nice. Made from thick fleece, it has an impressive silhouette that I can only do justice if I show it in action. Both kids are super eager to try it out so I will make sure to show you just how wonderful it is when it's worn.

You can find Kukukid in Australia here and if you are in Europe check out their own webshop

Check out their cool campaign on their website and find out more about this fun label:

Brand Watch | MIMOBEE FW14

Californian label Mimobee (pronounced Me-Mo-Bee) is ramping up the cool with their upcoming FW14 collection. I am in love with how they seem to have tapped into a natural, relaxed and comfortable style.  Mimobee isn't about over-designed clothes, loud prints and colors, and graphics. No more bling! They design basic, yet stylish clothes, with strong design points, so that kids can just be kids....but with a cool sense of style

All their garments go through a pre-washing process to take out the shrinkage. They also add two extra washes to soften up the fabric. It gives their garments a washed vintage-y look and feel.  Super soft. How can you go wrong with garment names like Obi Wan Poncho and Biker Sweat?
