Summer has come to stay here in Australia and we have just gotten back from a 3000km road trip on the beautiful coast of Victoria and New South Wales. We had such a good time enjoying the waves and sun and although it has been the most rain ridden summer so far, we have been lucky to have some wonderful days in the sun&surf. We tried camping under the stars with curious kangaroos keeping us company which was just pure magic (although possums in the night does sound like the worst monster nightmare coming to get you!) Hope you have all enjoyed your holidays out there...summer and winter ones!

FAVOURITE FINDS | Swimwear by Scotch Shrunk
A - how is the waist!? (who hasn't come home with a pair of swimmers that just fall off their little bums in the water..anyone? hands up over here.. and let's face it, giving the kid a plumbers bum look isn't working no matter how stylish the print is).
B - Are they comfy!? How's the fabric, soft enough to go commando in or do you need undies to wear these?
C - How rad is the print and will the little guy love it? We always tend to pick prints that really stand out (always handy on a crowded beach or pool area when you are keeping an eye out so they are easy to spot).
These boardies by Scotch Shrunk ticks all three boxes and have such a lovely summer feel to them. They even come with a handy little pouch in swim material so when it's time to head for home after a day at the beach you got somewhere to put them to avoid the rest of the beach bag getting wet!

Tropical Oasis | Scotch Shrunk
I love how this collection is a tribute to Rio, summer, fun and sun! The wonderful swing tags always seem to have a little surprise and my son loved the little green metal fish that came with the shorts, he instantly tied it to his shorts and there it has stayed ever since.

Tropical Fever | Scotch R'belle
Back from holiday with the suitcase and heads full of holiday memories. One absolutely magical day was when we had a chance to visit the vast sand dunes in Newcastle. Endless hills of white, pristine sand which was so soft that it squeaked when you stepped on it. It was the perfect backdrop to shoot some absolutely amazing clothes by Scotch R'belle. If you are looking for clothes for your girl that is that perfect mix of cool and cute, then look no further.
Packed with wonderful details such as double layers, highly detailed buttons and little hidden printed messages in fun places it takes fashion into the art territory. Most garments are made to fit several outfits in the collection and it is a joy to mix and match this label. The tropical theme is wonderful and the colour choices are perfect for this summer! The cropped tee is detachable and underneath you have a lovely singlet, held together with a wonderful detailed copper button. The skirt is also double layered and has a gorgeous printed under layer which reminds me of aboriginal art and ties perfectly together with the rows of colour fringes in the waistline.

I feel like we are finally here, almost at the end of the year, and over here in the midst of Christmas and New Year it also means the longest summer holiday break! Kids are out of kinder/school and we are off to NSW and a chance to kick back and have a few weeks in the sun and surf. We are signing off for a few weeks with some sunny photos from the weekend, and take this opportunity to wishing you all a lovely Christmas break where ever you might be. See you in the new year and thank you for visiting this past year! There are many new exciting projects lining up that I can't wait to share with you all, so check back in the beginning of January!

Moments | Summer Stories
While the weatherman promised rain today, Melbourne seemed to have other plans on the agenda. This is a good time to have a spare of boardies in your bag in case it turns sunny and a chance to have a dip in the blue appears. We met up with some friends and spent the afternoon on the beach and the spare boardies came to good use! December always seem to be such a crazy month but there is nothing better than a trip to the sea to forget all the 'musts and things to do' - there its all about being in the moment and a chance to enjoy the sun for a while.

Moments | Change
This is one of our favourite spots. You got a great view over the Melbourne skyline and you can spot any activity on the ocean from here. We decided to head here after my boy finished his last orientation day at school. Today he found out his new class, his new classmates and his new teacher for next year. It's a milestone really but he is taking it in his own pace. It is starting to dawn on me that he is going off to big school soon. All of a sudden the seemingly long summer holiday doesn't seem too long any more. Why couldn't it be a few weeks longer? And then I realize, I just want the little guy around a little bit longer. My beach pal, my little dude who seem to like wheels as much as I do. Well, he is not so little anymore so I better squeeze out all the good days I can between now and the end of January.
I love this time when summer is still in it's beginning phase and you have so many good, warm days ahead of us. I can't wait until school finishes and we can go off on mutual adventures again. And this time I will remind myself to enjoy every last minute of them!
