BRAND WATCH | baobab AW15

Welcome to another brand watch! This time I'd like to show you another great label from Australia, that has a strong focus on organic fuss free clothing for kids.

Meet baobab - every season they make a collection of clothes for kids that are stylish but 'wearable' and super comfy. Made from soft but durable fabric. The range caters for baby (3months-2yrs) girls (2yrs-10yrs) and boys (2yrs-6yrs). This seasons colours are vibrant and ‘pop out’ with the custom designed prints in ‘house of cards’, ‘abstract shapes’, ‘brushstokes’ as well as an orginal series of animal placement prints on dresses and tees.

There's a focus on details - in the stitching, curved hem lines, the bell-sleeves, the raglan cuts, the ribbed necklines, the shell buttons, the oversized pockets and the wide cut tees. Their garments are made of 100% cotton and the majority of the knits are made from GOTS certified organic cotton - soft on the skin and good for the world!

baobab is designed in Australia and made by their wonderful team in India. They visit regularly and can guarantee that our clothing is ethically made by some amazing people.

Moments | The Perfect Sunday

M wears: Jacket by Danefæ / Denim skirt by Baobab / Leggings by Popupshop / Gumboots by Bergstein. D wears: Jacket by Danefæ / Harem jeans by Cotton on Kids / Gumboots by Hummel Kids / Beanie by Vans.

The weather man promised rain today and lots of it. We started our Sunday in a slow pace. The kids rose early, but decided to make their own breakfast and let us have a sleep in ( I know!!! Luxury has a new meaning). After everybody was up we had a long breakfast together and just enjoyed not having to rush off anywhere. The rain was indeed coming down and it looked like it would have to be a Sunday inside. After we had enough of soaking up the peaceful start of the day we decided to hope for the best and head on out for some fresh air. The rain seem to accompany us where ever we went, but after a nice lunch at a bay resturant the raindrops seemed to dissipate and low and behold, in front of us was a large mirror like ocean, just waiting for us to come out and play.

There was no wind, no rain and a big rock pool to explore. With full tummies and a big appreciation that we got to have a whole afternoon without rain. The kids jumped from rock to rock and marveled at the trapped sea life that was in the pools. Big deep breaths of fresh air put big smiles on everybody's faces and we seem to all agree that we got the perfect Sunday to end the weekend off with.

Moments | On a Leaf Mission

D wears: Peace top by Baobab / Harem denims by Baobab / Shoes by MÁA

The leaves are coming down in huge numbers over here. Autumn has really made its announcement in style and the explosion of colours are spectacular as usual. D was on a mission to find the best looking Autumn leaves he could for a Kinder project, so off we went to see what we could find. We quickly found some nice BIG leaves that we saved, and he also found a big pile of dried leaves that was the best to jump and walk in. By the end of our little walk we had found everything he needed to bring to Kinder, and today I saw the most lovely Autumn tree, handmade by all the kids at Kinder with all the leaves attached to it. Autumn you are alright! You bring us warmth in colours when the winds fail to.

Moments | School's Out

D wears: Longsleeve by munsterkids / Jeans by I Dig Denim. M wears: Feather Top by Baobab / Denim skirt by Baobab / Shoes by molo

Yep, school's out, and the everyday routines are out the window for about 2 weeks. We started the weekend with trying out a new toy that D had saved up for (big sis got a loom band kit for the holiday and little brother picked a plane). We went for a bit of a drive and finally found a big, long and not very occupied beach that was a perfect setting for trying out the new plane. The excitement was big as the plane was thrown for the first time. The little propeller swirled around and the light plane took off and flew for about 10 m. Big jumps of happiness and then more of the same for about an hour!

Its fun to see how little it takes for kids to enjoy themselves, and a toy plane isn't even necessary. If there was no plane then they would climb rocks (which they did anyway) build sandcastles and find all sorts of ways of getting to wade into the water... It was the perfect start to the holidays and a great way to end the weekend.
