Brand Watch | Bobo Choses SS15 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'

I hope everybody had a good start to the new year. We had a lovely get away holiday and a chance to both visit Sydney and some amazing beaches in New South Wales with family. With a new year comes a lot of new things, and one thing we have looked forward to in particular is Bobo Choses new SS15 collection, 'Guess Who's Coming for Breakfast'.

Get ready to have breakfast with the most clumsy, shy and friendly monsters: Mr Nail, Bob the Monster, Clever the Ghost, and The Omelets will become your best guests! Being big fan of monsters in general it will be a collection that will go down a treat for us... With some lovely primary colours on the palette and so many fun prints to choose between as well, we will have a hard time to limit ourselves this season.

Look for the new collection in stores on January 13th! If you are living in Australia you will be happy to hear that one of my favourite shops Buckets and Spades have started taking in Bobo Choses as well this season.

Some photos from our Saturday. The weather forecast promised a hot day, but as we finally got outside it was still a nice breezy day with some fluffy clouds over our heads. Maybe the weather predictors were wrong? Who knows, it is Melbourne after all. Off we went and had lunch at local favorite and as we ate we realized it was getting hotter (after a quick shower of rain). By the time we were back in the car we decided it was best to head for a place that could give us some cooler winds and perhaps a chance to fly a kite.

There is a nice little calm spot in Kingston which is perfect for kite flying so we ended up walking down the lovely path and down to the beach. When we finally arrived everybody was so hot, there was not much plans on kites anymore. All that was on the agenda was to cool down. . Kids were laughing and splashing while the big people found a good spot in the shade to relax on. The temperature kept rising until it hit 32C. When the kids had enough of splashing, it was a quick fly with the kite and then it was time to head for home. We were all slightly knocked out by all the fresh air and sun, but definitely a good start to the weekend!

Brand Watch | Popupshop AW14

I first heard of Popupshop when the label started in 2007, I can't quite remember how I found out about them, but I spoke directly to one of the designers and got to order a pair of denim pants and a basic sweat and sent down to Australia. I instantly fell in love with the quality and no fuss approach to their design. I also support their big focus on sustainability and organic materials.

Both my kids grew up in those pants and there was no holes in sight after two kids had worn it to daycare and the park. The following years we made sure to always have some of their garments in the kids wardrobe. We have had numerous of their baggy sweat pants and jump suits and we never get tired of them or their wonderful fit. For this AW14 season they are following up on their animal theme and they have some really nice pieces that are just as compelling to the kids as the nature loving parent. Brand Watch | A Day in L.A. by Bobo Choses

Hard to miss a little report on the upcoming collection from lovely Bobo Choses - A Day in L.A. Having spent time in L.A. it felt a bit extra special to hear its a collection dedicated to the magic of the city of angels, sprinkled with a bit of Hollywood on top.

Close Up | Nico Nico, Emile et Ida, Petitbo

With the weather cooling down over here, its always good with 3 layers on the kids. Here are a few recent garments from the SS14 collections that are doing the trick.

1. The thick nice sweat from Emile et Ida collection is perfect for the cooler days and has a nice print of a car under a rain cloud (their colour choices and prints always gives me the same feeling as Bobo Choses which isn't a bad thing at all).

2. The great looking indigo long sleeve with a boatneck is from Nico Nico, and from their latest collection as well, it is such a diverse top that looks good with everything and suits a boy as well as a girl.

3. This cool tee from Petitbo is a must have. Ride Fast or Be Last on soft pink. Love the double hemmed arms, neck and waist, nice details, super soft and a print that will make the boys jealous! (or if they feel cool in a bit of pink why not give them one?)

Some photos from the weekend. A quick stop to get out and stretch the legs, climb some trees and enjoy the rather warm weather we are having so late in the season. We thought it would be too late to wear this amazing cat dress from Bang Bang Copenhagen but we were lucky and came across a day when short sleeve was still possible. It is amazing to think that we are in winter times and can still wear short sleeves, it has really been a mild winter so far!

D's feet has grown so quickly lately and we realized that the cool Camper shoes he inherited from a Finnish boy now finally fits (kiitos!). Its fun to think that these shoes that have had a lot of Finnish adventures are now running around on Australian soil having new ones. We are enjoying a long weekend this weekend and a 3 day off will be so nice to kick back on and spend with the family. Hopefully if the weather holds we will be off on another driving adventure and exploring some parts of this state that we haven't seen in a long time.

I am loving the new Spanish label 1+ in the family. Even though I don't have any more babies around me I can see how I would have bought this label if I had. The range goes from 0-24 month and it has the most gorgeous muted colours and stripes, dots and most of all they seem to have plenty of room to be comfy in. Simple, sweet and absolutely perfect.

Sometimes when you capture a moment you get one of those rare glimpses of pure joy. This is one of them. My boy loves to jump, off pretty much anything. He says it makes him feel like he is flying but he wishes it would last longer than a few seconds. Luckily for me I manage to capture him and show him what he looks like while "flying" and it makes me remember that sometimes the best things in life is free... Have a lovely Sunday out there. Since it will be a rainy one over here, we will spend ours at the Aquarium.

NEW IN | LOJA DÁDÁ

Some details from our lovely parcel from Loja Dádá that we received last week. We got two dresses from Petitbo which are the first items we have gotten of this label, so it will be extra exciting to try them out soon. We got the ANIA DRESS in black and the NAILA DRESS in grey melange. D got the cool Spiked BEAU LOVES hoodie, which looks really great on (will make sure to show it in action soon).

Since summer is coming soon (well not soon if you are seeing the weather here right now but it should be around the corner), we got a palm tank top by MINI RODINI (which is currently sold out unfortunately).
