Beach House Time-Table

Beach House Project

I am a member in a Dutch dolls house club and this year our group project is a veranda / porch.

I decided to use my new beach house kit for this project ( so I have some “pressure” to finish it).
2 years ago our group project was a toy shop. I am still working on that project. I hope to finish both group projects in December 2015!!!!!

 

Here is the veranda time table:

January / February (Construction):

We have to assemble the veranda. I will customized the kit. I would like to have a bigger veranda not only at the entrance. I will do also a real wooden flooring not only a paper one. I am also not satisfied with the glossy wallpaper. Maybe I paint the walls.

March (something to sit):

We have to do a chair, lounge set or a sun bed. I will do the Adirondack chair which came with the kit.

I will paint it again. The original paint is a mix of yellow and green and it looks terrible.

I will do also a little table and maybe some cushions.

 

April (Storage):

We have to do a “storage” furniture f.e. a rack or a little self. I will do a little cabinet for all the beach toys.

May (Animals on the veranda):

This is my biggest problem. Maybe I do a dog basket. I will use a blue/white striped fabric.  I hope to find a little cairn terrier in 1/24. If you know where I can buy one please contact me. Thank you. A wooden nautical bird house is also a nice idea.

June (swap):

In June we have our summer swap. I have to do something for my swap partner’s veranda.

July (Plants/ door wreath):

In July I have to some plants or a wreath for the veranda. A nautical wreath with sea shells would be nice. Or maybe a palm??

August (Drinks and Food):

In August we will do some drinks, food, a bbq or a cooking plate. I don’t work with Fimo so I will do no food. Maybe I will do a cooking plate.

September (Light):

In September we can do a light, a fan, candles, a little lantern.....

October (decoration):

In October we have to decorate our verandas.....cushions, pictures, candles.....this is really not a problem. I have lots of ideas!

November (free choice):

In November there is a free choice. Something for the beach house.....

December (Swap):

In December is also a swap. A little x-mas present for my swap partner’s veranda.

I really like our group project. There is also a monthly chat where we can change our ideas.

I have done a little childrens post office game (Kinderpost) for my

toy shop.

Fabric swap & cupcake clock

 

 

 

 

I received a very big envelope with lots of fabric.

They are perfect for my haberdashery shop!!

On the 2. photo you can see my fabric. I sent also a

cute French paper garland printie.

I received also a little cupcake clock. Perfect for the bakkery project.

My Mom was in the hospital and I had no time for minis and mails - sorry.

Fabric Swap

Here is a photo of my fabric swap. The fabric swap is for my Dutch Onlineminiclub. The fabric is 10 x 10 cm. I send also a printie for a French paper banner. I hope the girls like my fabric (I love blue).

Spring Swap

Trudy sent my a lovely spring swap! Super cute little chicks for my Buttercup dollshouse.

And also a little girl with sring flowers in a wheelbarrow and stickers (nailstickers). Danke wel Trudy!!!


I have done this little swap for Trudy. A basket with dirty clothes and washing/cleaning products and a little tray for her kitchen. For the basket I used normal jute yarn (for post parcels). Later I will post a tutorial for the kitchen tray and the basket. I sent her also little glas bottles with ornaments (for fingernails). She can use the ornaments but also the little bottles for jam jars....

A warm winter outfit by Helma

A warm dufflecoat

At the moment I am very busy to finish my Halloween / Horror shop. I startet 2 years ago and than I was not really interested in it....(a typical unfinish project - haha I have several unfinish projects). But I will not wait one year longer. I will show you the shop in the next days.......

Today I show you a warm Burberry dufflecoat (it was an online workshop by Lisette. I think also 2 years ago. Lisette thanks for the great instructions). On the net I found a Burberry label. Perfect for my dufflecoat. In my workroom I have an old umbrella (yes I collect everything - maybe I can use the fabric for a raincoat! I will try it - if not I can use the fabric for a tent.

Update of my wooden basket

So here is an update of my wooden basket.....you need some printies, a press button and a rest of a tealight..for the cleaning products..
I found an old plastic ice cream spoon in my mini chaos...maybe I can used it for a dustpan.....
I will make some more cleaning products...

Brushes & Co.

I am a member of a Dutch onlineminiclub. At the moment I try to make some brushes & co. for my wooden basket. I will put it later in my laundry...
This was the january project by Roelie...yes I have to hurry....
The broom on the left side is from a dollshouse shop...it was an unpainted one....
So today I will make more towels for the basket..I use normal wc paper for it....
