I've Been Very Lucky

I won a give away over at
The Shopping Sherpa!
A neat little laptop computer
which I painted and added a screen and keyboard.
Isn't it cute?
Thank you Anna Maria!

And also,
I love Tilda dolls,
specially the tiny ones for dollhouses.

Now the most beautiful Tilda lives with me!!

See her perched on top of the cupboard like a little fairy?
Isn't she gorgeous?

When I saw Amary's little Tilda in her pretty room
I was besotted
so I asked Amary does she sell her creations.
She said she never had sold anything but she would
make me a Tilda for a gift!!!
I was over the moon :))
How lucky am I to have a Tilda made by Amary
who is a talented and lovely person?
Thank you dear friend!

Imagine my surprise when I opened an exciting parcel
and discovered not only Tilda
but many more pretty treasures :)

Here they are all together on a garden seat borrowed for the occasion.
I couldn't bear to put all these treasures away
in scenes so Tilda and the pretties have stayed
on my work station where I can see them every time
I sit down

And here are some close up photos.

First of all Tilda sitting on my finger,
unbelievably tiny and perfect?!!
I love her demure little pose and her sweet dress
and shoes!

Some beautiful American roses which don't seem
to mind the climate Downunder :)  They haven't stopped
blooming and giving joy since they arrived.
Those petals are paper thin!

A basket of pretty ladies toiletries for Mothers Day!!
I feel very spoiled and very lucky!

And also a sweet shabby heart to hang on a door knob
and this lovely mat for the floor in front of the
kitchen sink.  I forgot to take a photo of the mat
in the kitchen :(

In this close up photo you can see the little laptop where someone
is checking their emails and enjoying a cup of tea
and a sticky sweet pastry.

Thank you to two special ladies who have given more than
gifts, they've given friendship as well.

Happy Christmas 2013

Just a quick post to say

Happy Christmas!

to everyone!
I wish for everyone

PEACE and JOY

that is the real meaning of Christmas.

This darling wee village was a surprise gift delivered yesterday
by the lovely and talented lady who made it.
Thank you
How awesomely gorgeous is it????

This little village will take pride of place every Christmas!
Here is another photo of it with a very messy Christmas Roombox.
Sorry for the bad pic, it's hard to photograph indoors.
It's a tiny thing, the little houses are each less than an inch wide!

Would You Care to Take Tea with Me?

School holidays Downunder,
grandkids spending a day with us.
We go around the miniatures and see all the new things.
It was the perfect opportunity to take a photo of the lovely
petitpoint tea cosy that I won from Rosanna

Would you care for a cup of tea?
Please take off your hat and have a seat,
and help yourself to a macaron :)
and we'll enjoy a refreshing cup
from beneath that pretty cosy.

Every time I walk past my pretty kitchen roombox
I enjoy a moment peeking in,
and think how lovely it would be to
invite Rosanna to have afternoon tea with me.

Sending hugs to you Rosanna
and I hope your hands are getting better.

I Won! I Won a Wonderful Give Away!

The very talented
and very sweet
recently had a beautiful Give Away
at her blog.
To my amazement,
I won!!
I couldn't believe I had really won!

A few minutes ago the postman left
a package in my letter box.
Great joy when I read the name of the sender
and I knew there was something wonderful
waiting for me to open :)
Inside was this exciting little parcel and a postcard
which can be cut out and made into
a tiny building!
Don't you love miniature parcels?
I love to hold them in my hand
and think of the sender
and delay opening them for a while
to enjoy the moment for a little longer ;)
Curiosity and excitement means I can't
wait for too many moments before opening......

Inside was this very beautiful Teacosy
made by Rosanna.
I apologise for not being able to show
how beautiful this cosy is in a photo,
it is a work of art in my hand.
Every stitch is perfect, it is so neatly made
and the tiny Carnival Horses
make me smile.
How lucky am I???
Doing a Happy Dance and clapping my hands :)
I loved this cosy when Rosanna showed it on her blog!
I was taken completely by surprise when I won it!!
Never for a moment did I think of winning
when I left a comment,
I just wanted to say how much I admired
Rosanna's tea cosies.

Thank you Rosanna,
I will treasure this beautiful gift forever.

Welcome Downunder Bella Mouse!

Recently I was stunned to find that I'd
won a most beautiful give away
from

Bella Mouse arrived
today!
I am so delighted with her
and utterly gobsmacked
at the perfection of her dear little face
and lovely clothes!
Thankyou so much

Lucy and Annabelle

for your kind generosity,
you have warmed my heart.

When Robin heard that the postman had left a parcel
all the way from the USA
she knew instantly whom the parcel was for
and jumped out of the bath in great excitement!

(remember she was having a bath
in our last visit to the dollhouse?)

She grabbed a dressing gown
and quickly wrapped herself in it
and flew down the stairs,
nearly tripping in her haste and excitement,
into the lounge room
and unwrapped
the tiny and most gorgeous
Bella Mouse!
Bella grabbed up her wee basket and purse
so they wouldn't be lost midst the chaos
and plonked them on the couch
while she and Robin hugged one another
and danced around the room.
Robin could barely speak she was so happy
at meeting her new friend.
When they began to be dizzy
Robin sat on the lounge with Bella on her knee,
she couldn't bear to be parted from her special friend
for even a second.
(I must admit myself to having a little tear in my eye
seeing their happiness together)

Poor Bella was a little jet lagged at first
but a heartening cup of tea set her to rights quickly.
When she was feeling revived
she told us her journey had been quite comfortable
and she hadn't been travel sick at all
but she is very pleased to be on terra firma again.
The upside-down weather had her a trifle puzzled
as it had been warm when she set out
on her journey.
On arriving in the Land Downunder
she was very glad she'd packed her warm coat
because,
although the sun is bright and the birds are singing happily,
it is mid-winter in her new homeland
and quite cool.

Robin and Bella fell in love instantly they saw one another,
the smile on Robins face says it all!
One of the dogs seems to have fallen for sweet Bella as well ;)
Robins pet rattie Camilla
(aka Milla)
thought she might be a tiny bit jealous of the newcomer
who was receiving so much attention
but Bella is such a gracious and sweet person
that they've become best friends already.

As for myself, I too am under the spell of
Sweet Bella Mouse.
I can't believe my luck in winning such a wonderful
Give Away and can't say thankyou enough.
Bella is loved by all,
and will be a treasured member
of the dollhouse family.

Best Dressed Babe Around!

Midget is the best dressed little darling
in the world!
Isn't this layette the most precious thing you ever saw?
I can't take my eyes off it!
So delicate you couldn't tell the size
if you didn't know Midget is only 1 3/4" long.
The embroidery is perfection.
Made by a very lovely lady
who is also a dear friend.
Thankyou isn't enough
but I thank you
from my heart.

A trifle in shock.........

Peeping out of my hermitage for a moment to share happiness.

Pei Li had a wonderful give away over at her blog.  I was stunned to win and so excited because I love Pei Li's gentle style and the shabby chic style in general.

Life has been a little under par of late so when a knock came on the door this morning it was a surprise to open the door and find there is a parcel for me!!   That changed the complexion of my day/week/month completely :)  With shaking hands I opened the envelope and then began the shock.........

This little pot of peonies is so perfect I can't believe my eyes.  Every petal is fine and translucent like real peonies.
Here they are displayed with some of the macarons I bought from Pei Li a while back.
The tiny pink pot is only 1centimetre across!

Thankyou so much Pei Li, your beautiful gift is such a pleasure to my soul.
