Day 2 Sneaks - 120th Edition from My Creative Time

Emma has thought of it all!  Along with Graduation we have Mother's Day too!

Get in the swing of things with our new Mother's Day Set!  SWOON worthy!

I love ink blending and this card gave me a chance to play!  I used inch wide washi or painter tape to make clean lines on my card base and then pulled out some pastel pretties that would blend together
nicely.  I love how it turned out.  Then I took the floral image from the set, stamped with Black Versa Ink, and dusted with clear embossing powder and heat set.  CRAFTERS TIP: by using CLEAR embossing powder and black ink I don't have those pesky black dots that can come with black powder.
I find that I emboss more because my project looks more polished.
I also embossed the sentiment to make it more elevated.  I stamped one floral image on scrap paper (of course embossed it as well and used the dies to cut it out perfectly) and used the same inks to watercolor the petals by using a water pen.  I don't think it shows in the photo, but I added some Wink of Stella on the petals of the lone flower I die cut.

Cute card and so simple!

Mother's Day Cards!

Happy Day everyone!

Yesterday I made 11 Mother's Day cards!
Yes, you read that correct.  Even though my own mother
has been gone for years, I try and make cards for the other
"moms" in my life.  Some are granddaughters in love, some are
daughters in love, others are friends.  I just love making
cards!  I cannot take credit for this design!
It was inspired by Mary Grubbs the founder of
Cardztv.  I have watched and loved Mary's blog for years.
She has taught me so much about card crafting and I
was honored to serve on her Design Team for years.

This design is PERFECT for using up scraps of paper
and these papers come from a favorite Paper Studio paper pad
called Lola and Luca.

I even used a strip from my scraps to finish off
the inside of my card.  My sentiment comes from
two different My Creative Time Mother's day
sets.

The flowers come from Create a Critter cut with my
Cricut and also used Elegant Edges for make the
mat that the flower sits on.  I use the Elegant Edges set so
often, I created a file and saved it.  Love my Cricut!

Happy Spring!
