Valentine’s Sweethearts

The inspiration for this card came from the digi-papers which  are from a cd-rom  I've had for ages but have not used it. I also adore the digi-stamp image of the two characters sitting on the bench and had to use it again. I coloured  it with promarkers. The bird carrying the letter is a digi-stamp and was promarkered as well and I added a heart gemstone.  I made the "Valentine's Sweetheart sign" with the help of a graphic program. The shape of it was achieved by using a freebie. I also punched a little hole and added a metal heart charm and decorated with some red gemstone brads. I made a rossette and decorated the edges with a help of a heart punch. The sentiment which is a part of a rosette was another digi freebie. There was also lace border punches used to decorate this card and a butterfly mini punch. And I also added ribbons in 2 colours.

Love Is In The Air

For this card I used my new purchase of "MS lace scallop heart punch" and heart doilies which I have never used before but love the way they bring interest and texture into projects. For the base of the card I used acetate. I love the way the acetate lets the light through the punched elements and doilies which can be seen the most in my third picture which was taken under a lampshade after dark. I also used a butterfly punch but cut the wings a bit around edges to fit it my requirements. The digi-image I adore and I used promarkers to colour it. As you can see I used massive pearls at the top which are pearl buttons. The smaller ones are self adhesive ones. The red hearts are made from like a slightly padded  fabric and have had them for years and now that I do paper crafting occasionally it came very handy. The red and brown paper roses are shop bought. The mini white paper roses in the middle of butterflies and scattered around I made by using "Tonic" punches. And of course a massive role played a silicone glue. I also put a ribbon at the top in a loop so when my hubby decides to buy some nails and do a bit of diy I will use my card as a wall hanging.

I love the way the light gets through in this picture
