Merry Kiss-mas

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well, keeping warm
and getting ready for the festive season.
Welcome to my new followers too.

Today I would like to share a Christmas decoration I made.
I used quite a lot of digital stamps and digital images for this creation.
Exhausted myself with colouring in the digital stamps, glittered and also finally
had a chance to use pom-poms which make pretty good snowballs!

    Ingredients:

Digital Stamps by  Inky Impressions - New Release - Merry Kiss-mas
                                                                                                                               - Jingles The Elf
                                                                                                                               - Danny and Delilah's Sled Ride
Digital Stamp - The Snowman - FREEBIE - is By - Anji's Antics
The rest of the Digital Images come from- Polka Doodles cd roms
The Sentiment was a freebie by lovely Marion  from here but I think it has been removed now
Snowflake Punches - Tonic snowflake mini and snowflake accents
Glitter -red and green colours and Diamond Sparkles (Angel Whispers) by Hunkydory
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug, Memory Box Die - Frostyville border, Pom-Poms
Wire, Gemstones and Colouring medium - Promarkers

Bellow is a picture from a profile to show the dimension a bit more and
the Pom-Poms which I used as snowballs.

Tips.... 1. If you digitally join up lots of images together as I did in my design and make a mistake with colouring in, especially when you were just about done or don't  like the colours together! Paper piece the part of the image you do not like.
My example of this is "Mrs Penguin's skirt above" where I made a mistake with my colour choice (coloured her skirt in yellow which I did not like but then with the power of paper piecing I was able to save it and did not have to start all over again. Also if you used digital stamps make sure you save your design on your PC otherwise it is going to be pretty hard to match the size again and you may as well start all over again!
2. My second tip is : If you make something with a lot of fragile detail, especially pointy bits like I did with my decoration above (my printer takes only up to 250 gsm) and sending it by mail short or long distance, making a box for it is a must, but instead of wrapping it in the box and squashing the edges I glue it to the box with Repositionable Photo Glue ( just a few little drops of glue on the back of the creation), that way it does not rattle in the box, the fine edges do not get ruined and the recipient can take it out (peel it off) with no problem.

Thank you very much for visiting.
All comments very much appreciated!

Birthday Card For A Little Girl

Hi Everyone, hope you are all having relaxing weekend.

Today I would like to share a BIRTHDAY card
I made for one of our rellies.

Finally I got a chance to make something girly for a change.
It made me very happy to play with girly stuff for a change and use up
some  things I have been longing to use from my stash for some time now .
I have some digital Autumn papers which I have never used before,
so they were just perfect for this time of the year.
Also the digi stamp I used I won some time ago and still thanking  my lucky
stars for that one. Isn't the image just sweetness itself. Absolutely Love it!

Here is the BIRTHDAY CARD I made

I paper pieced her dress!

Now ...because I did so much matting and layering on the front,
the laws of the physics were not in my favour and I had to decorate
the inside of the card as well so the weight would even out and made my
card stable. I think with the amount of  layers and so much wet glue used,
by the time I finished, it made my card bullet proof!

I put together the BIRTHDAY Sentiment digitally myself
for the inside of the card.

Ingredients:

Digital Papers - from a kit called Autumn Thoughts (Designs by Megan Turnidge)
Digital Stamp - Disdigistamps
Kraft Card
Digital Sentiment - put together myself ( the little images in it created by some other talented people who I am giving a credit to but can't remember where I downloaded the images from )
Dies - Cheery Lynn, Joy! Spellbinders Nesties
Punch - Paper Shapers (Daisy)
Colouring Medium - Promarkers, Glitter - by Hunkydory
Distress ink - vintage photo
Paper Piecing done with the same paper as backing paper, just scaled down for the pattern size
From my stash - Flowers (WOC), Pearls, 1 Metal brad with a gemstone, lace, metal butterfly and alphabet beads.

Thank you very much for taking time to visit my blog and
any comment you leave me is very much appreciated!

Halloween - Matching 3-piece set

Hi Everyone, I hope all of you are doing well.

This year for my Halloween project
I  made a matching 3 piece set consisting of

Halloween card, Treat Box and Treat Bag

I used 2 digital images for my creations. It may seem like one but Yes
I used 2 !  I layered them in my graphics program and was very pleased
how nicely they blended together. I think those talented artists
who created them had me in their minds and by the way
did I mention the digital images are freebies!

The digital image of that cute little sweetheart with
the pumpkins is by a talented lady Sue from
Grand9Creations and you can find her amazing Freebie
I used HERE and plenty more!
The second digital image is a Freebie by talented Linda from
Random Thougths at Linda's Place and you can find her freebie I used HERE .
Have a look around her blog as well. There are plenty more amazing things
to look at there too. Thank you for sharing ladies!

Digital sentiment "I am too cute to spook" is by Wendy Tunison (When Witches Go Riding Kit)
Digital Sentiment " Spooky Treats" which I also used last year is by
lovely Amy at Leighs Paper Creations Digital Stamps

So here comes my Matching Halloween Set

 Halloween Card

Matching Treat Box - filled with sweets
with a side view picture next to it

I have never made this type of box and sadly do not have a degree
in engineering (LOL) so I  used a tutorial by one of the lovely
Inkettes (Fabiola) at Inky Impressions  and you can find her brilliant
tutorial HERE

And last in my set and I hope not least  is
my matching Treat Bag

For this one I did a bit of recycling.... yes you guessed it...
it's the cellophane bag.

Other ingridients I used to create my matching set:

punch - MS PATP
dies - Cheery Lynn, Nesties, Joy!,Marianne
Promarker - colour Pumpkin
Pearls and gemstones  ( colour changed with Pumpkin Promarker )
Pearl Hearts - (colour changed with Pumpkin Promarker as well )
Mini bow ribbons - in Orange and Black colours
Googly Eyes

And also many thanks for all my lovely followers who
leave comments on regular basis. It makes my very painful
an uncomfortable days fly a bit quicker.
Thank you also to my new followers as well.
You know who you are :)

Christmas Decoration in Teal

* Hi Everyone *

Where does the time go!? There is another
Giveaway at STUDIO 12 -
- Blog full of amazing creativity
and inspiration
Go and check them out

Over at Polka Doodles  this week the challenge is
 "Favourite Holiday and Colour Teal"
My favourite holiday is Christmas time so I made a Christmas decoration.
The trickiest part was finding a paper in teal colour.
At the end I liked the pattern of the paper I used and had to  re colour
it in "Serif"  (the pattern of the paper was originally yellow colour ).

The idea for this decoration came from
watching "Create & Craft " TV. One of the demonstrators
which I can't remember who now was sharing
an idea of a home decoration and I thought I could have a go
at it one day and brighten up my house with something new
and  here it is!

Ingridients:
Digital paper (original colour yellow ) - by Memory Lane Studios
Martha Stewart - PATP, Snowflake - Sizzix die,
Glitter - Hunkydory, Brads - Joy Crafts,
Promarker - for changing colour of gemstones, brads and pearls
Beads, gemstones, pearl string and other elements from my stash.

Thank you very much for visiting and all your lovely comments

Hi Everyone in blog land!
Also hi and welcome to my new followers  and
I hope all the lovely crafters who have been following me
for some time now have been enjoying my creations.
It has been a year for me in Blog Land!
So I guess it is my 1st anniversary.

Today I would like to share another card I made. With more
family celebrations coming up I made another card for a child.
This card was inspired by many things. Most elements I used were inspired
by various challenge themes but the main image is one of my nephew's
favourite characters at the moment.

So I went full steam ahead so to speak and here is the card.

Ingridients
The digital stamp Thomas the Tank Engine - free download from the internet (colouring pages for kids)
Colouring medium - PROMARKERS
Glitter- from Hunkydory ( it does not really show in the picture but it's there ! )
From stash - ribbons, buttons, twine, 9 black gemstones
Papermania- blue and yellow gemstones
Paper punch - X-cut corner rounders small and large
Glossy Accents - ( photographs dreadfully especially on those yellow balloons :(
All the writing done in graphics program
Tim Holtz ruler - for paper piercing

A few lyrics from the song

They're two, they're four, they're six, they're eight,
shunting trucks and hauling freight.
Red and green and brown and blue,
they're the really useful crew.
All with different roles to play
`round Tidmouth  sheds or far away.
Down the hills and round the bends,
Thomas and his friends.

Colourful Birthday Card for my Nephew

Hi Everyone! How is everyone doing?
I hope enjoying every sun ray and keeping dry.

I was not planning to do any crafting for some time but
felt touch better  with my health or did I ?
for a few days and with some
inspiring challenge themes I decided to make a
Birthday card for one of my nephews.

For this one I really spinned the colour wheel.
I have to say I have never done anything with so many
colours and almost broke my brain thinking of colours
which would go together but I like how it turned out at
the end and the colours will definitely grab any child's
attention. Don't you agree? Also I had a play with with
my paper punches, digi-stamps, did a crossstitch effect
with a twisted cord, embellished, distressed,
promarkered every digi-stamp and I also
 attempted my first paper piecing.

*

Here is the birthday card

Here is another look which shows dimension a bit better.

Ingredients:

digi-stamps - Pollycraft (monsters),Polka Doodles cd rom (owl),Sliekje (boy)
        craftingbellalockwood ( the background scene),

baloons - hand drawn by me
distress inks-spiced marmalade and pine needles
glitter-copper
from stash-cord,ribbons,button,brads,wooden alphabet letters,gemstones

Happy Father's Day

Hi Everyone. How are you all lovely crafters doing?
Getting ready for Father's Day Celebrations?

Has anyone been watching “Big Brother”?
It certainly has not been boring since it's started this year
again,hasn't it?

*

With Father's day Celebrations
around the corner
I managed to make this wall hanging.

I used a digital stamp by milkcoffestamps and coloured
with promarkers. I also used MS daisy fan punch
which is one of the punches I bought ages ago
but have not had a chance to use.
Other 2 punches I used are by tonic and x-cut.
Digital sentiment designed by me in Serif.
Roses are from WOC.
Glitter,pearls,gemstones,ribbon, lace
and wire to hold the beads from my stash.

*

A few pictures to follow.
The complete pics are at the bottom

I created the sentiment in Serif

"Made with Love" charm was
a present from a lovely crafter.
Label on the packet -
- (Card Charms - make your own cards)

I also attached a few beads with a wire
for the final finish.

Bellow are 2 complete pictures of
the wall hanging I made.
I could not decide which one to post
because my camera never really deals
with light very well and takes everything
either bleached out or too dark.

So here are both versions...

Thank you very much for stopping by
and any comment as always is greatly
appreciated!
