Polka Doodles: Week 42 Challenge - Halloween Giveaways

For this polkadoodle.blogspot.com Challenge I used the digi-images provided on polkadoodle.blogspot.com, you can use images from Polka Doodles "Sundays of Seasons" cd rom for this challenge instead but if you do not own this cd rom, the rule is to use the digi-images provided.

I own and love the cd rom but I love the images provided by the blog as well and decided to use them, they are really lovely. Thank you very much

To make this card I used all the digi-images provided for this challenge. Some of them I used twice. I resized it in MS Word and layered it with other digi-images from various artists. I printed out the witch, cut her out with scissors and coloured her with promarkers and glued on with glue gel for a bit of a dimension. The glittered leaf - the leaf is from "Sunday of Seasons" cd-rom, I printed it out and coloured it with a black promarker. Then I glittered it with copper coloured glitter. For matting and layering I used black paper from stash, the orange one was coloured with promarkers.

Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and for this occasion I decided to make my first Halloween card. I did not make it too scary, imagine scaring some poor little soul! It also reminds me to buy lots of  sweets for the special day and  some for myself of course. My day would not be complete without it.

To make this Halloween card come together I used digi-freebies  downloaded from various blogs (creepiecutestamps,bearywishes,madiscraps,leighspapercreationdigitalstamps,stampersbest,karenlewisdesignz.com,scrapbookalphabet) and there is also another digi-stamp but I can not rememeber where I downloaded it from, full credit to all talented artists.

For this challenge I decided to use another Polka Doodles cd-rom "Back to Nature" and have my first go at making flowers of some kind.

To create the flowers I used Tonic mini paper punch "flower head" and the larger one is from Tonic "Petal Pairs". After I punched out a shape ( light cardstock ) I lifted the petals up and shaped them the way I found appealing to my eye. I used glue gel to glue 3 layers together. Glue gel seems to give flowers even more strength. Mini flowers are really tiny and very fiddly to make but well worth it. Mini flowers fit nicely into larger ones.

In the making of this A5 card were also involved:

As I mentioned above I used "Back to Nature" cd rom. I printed out the owls and decoupaged them. Adorable, aren't they? I also printed out the tree branches with leaves and flowers in the top left corner and cut everything out with scissors. The black dotty paper is from "Sundae of Seasons" cd-rom but I had to recolour it because it was not available in black. I also embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it a shine. I also made a use of heart mini punch, lace trim border punch and "Tonic Boot Punch Regular - Crossing Hearts". The swirl is from "Anita's Glitterations Stickers". The gold layer is lightly brushed self adhesive sheet. Gems are from "Papermania". The card was finished with my handmade flowers.

Birthday Card for my 1 year old nephew

One of my nephews is going to be 1 year old in November. I can not believe it. It was like yesterday when he was born.  I decided to make a birthday card for him.
For the front of the card I used backing papers from beautiful (Harvest Spice Kit ) . The Bear image was a free digi-stamp from http://maybritshobbyblogg.blogspot.com/

Front of the card

I used "Microsoft Word" and played with some of my downloaded freebies to create the rest of 3 pages of the card.

As you have probably guessed I used bear digi-stamps from May Brit's Blog again. I LOVE THEM. "Bear on the Cresent Moon" is from http://bodilsscrappeverden.blogspot.com/2010/06/new-free-digi-stamp_25.html and comes as a freebie as well
Other elements are from freebie kit on http://digital-scrapbooking-japan.blogspot.com/
Backing Paper is from " Harvest Spice freebie kit again "
To colour all digi-stamps I used promarkers.
