White On White Easel Card

Hi Everyone
... big welcome to my newest followers Inger and Heather Kate

How is your Spring bank holiday weekend going?
I have been expecting warmer weather for ages because our boiler was
pronounced caput 5 weeks ago and since then it has been
living like in the fridge for me in our house!
Any good boiler recommendations?
Does anyone have Worcester brand and is very happy with it?

Today I would like to share an easel card. I had no juice left in my printer
in 3 cartridges ( and still waiting for my arm and a leg to grow back
after my last  ink cartridge purchase .. which was not that long ago ):
so I decided to do white on white instead because I love this kind of style too.

I started die cutting with 250gsm cardstock but soon realized that
I needed much more heavier cardstock for the whole structure to keep its shape.
Instead I decided to use a heavy weight cardstock off cuts which I always end up with
after I finish making boxes for my cards and never know what to do with it
because this type of card just seems to be only good  for box making
and even scoring it on my Hougie presents quite a tough task with the
scoring tool being pushed to its limits! (Bendy tools... not a good idea me thinks)
I have to say the card was too thick for dies to cope with
and I had to make lots of passes with each die to get a proper cut and also to
see the embossing but it was worth it in the end because you could play footie
with it now how sturdy it is (LOL).

Here is the Easel card
Please excuse my terrible  pictures! For some reason it shows up with
lilac tint instead of pure white!

Here is a little close up

Dies used-Dienamics,Joy!,Marianne,Cheery Lynn,Spellbinders
MS PATP, Woodware punch

I would like to enter following challenges:

1.Papercraft Star - Challenge 146 - What Do You Find Beautiful? ( I find flowers and butterflies beautiful. Flowers always announce the Spring arriving and I love to watch for the first sign of my Spring flowers in my garden. Butterflies! They say without change there would be no butterflies! I love them for their elegance.
2.Shelly's Images - Show Us What You Got
3.Crafts 4 Eternity - R#125 - Get Into Shape
4.Unstampabelles Challenges - Ch#23- Easel Card
5.Polka Doodles-Week 21- To Die For

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone,

I would like to say thank you for all your get well wishes...
it worked..... my flu and cold are gone now so I am fine from this angle.

The root of my creation was inspired by one of the challenges they are having over
at SJ Crafts. I decided to use their current sketch and made it into a card.
I would have gone larger in scale to show off the photo a bit more but
I was restricted by the size of my largest Jiffy bag. After I made a box for it,
it was a pretty tight squeeze! I better measure more than twice next time (LOL).

Here it is

I am still loving kraft card so I used it again. I printed out the papers and
all the paper elements on super smooth paper which gives me better qulality looking image
than printing straight onto a card and cut them out. Then I glued all the elements
onto heavy weight card to give it much needed strength and cut it out again.
I also used a hessian which gives a fantastic texture, favourite Vintage Floral
MS punch and did a bit of stitching and finished of with some of my embellies
from my stash.

Thank you very much for visiting and all your lovely comments.

Make a Wish .......

Hi , I hope everyone is having a great weekend
and those who aren't are in my thoughts.

I am in the clutches of flu and cold. I have not had either of those for 12 years now.
Yeah, you are reading correctly! 12 YEARS! Now I have been hit with both!
This would be really something if I have not been
pinned to my bed  for years now for my other health reasons but still great
going, don't you think?

*
I would like to share a birthday card I made for one of our rellies whose birthday is tomorrow.

What Dreams May Come (ATC)

Hi Everyone. Hope you are well and enjoying the sun
we are having... don't get used to it (LOL)

Is it just my issue or has the link to "View in Google Reader" in
the dashboard disappeared already! ?

Today I would like to share an ATC I made.
I have never made  any ATCs before
and thought  I would give it a try. It's quite nice to try out
something new for a change.  I went for CAS look, used a digital image
by Kimeric Kreations (Living the dream ) and gemstones
for a bit of a sparkle

Here is the ATC

Thank you so much for visiting!
All comments massively appreciated.

Simples! I am nuts and bolts about you

Hi Everyone

I would like to say Thank you to all of you who took time
and tried to help out with my browsers problems last time.
My browsers saga still continues and I still haven't been able to find
the catalyst but on the plus side there were no nasties found when I had
it professionally checked so now I have to find someone else
who can actually work out what is really wrong with it!
The last tech guy just did not have a clue :(  Oh well, ..... to be continued (LOL).

*

As you can see below I made C&S Valentine's card

I quite like how it turned out and I even managed to use my
heart shaped gemstones which have not seen the daylight
since last Valentine's day.
Can anyone guess where is this card flying off to? (LOL)

I used a digital stamp called "Tin Rose by Pollycraft"which you have probably seen
lots of times in the past but I was lucky to get it last year before
" Pollycraft" closed its cyber doors and have not had a chance to use it until now.
If I am not mistaken this cutie is no longer available to purchase but if
you are a lover of Pollycraft digis head over to Little Miss Muffet Stamps Store
to have a look, who knows what might catch your fancy there.

Ingredients:

Digital Stamp - by Pollycraft (Tin Rose)
Punch - MS (PATP)
Bling - Heart shaped gemstones from my stash
Text - computer generated
Colouring Medium - Promarkers

Wishing Two People One Wonderful Life

Hi Everyone

Hope you are all feeling better than I am!
Thank you very much for all your comments
and a big welcome to my new followers too.

If you left a comment on my last card and  have not seen me on your blog yet
it is  because I have some dilemma with my browsers.
I have been getting errors,  I can't access many blogs and it  tells
me false info like certain blogs do not exist !
On some occasions I get lucky and access a certain page but can't see any pictures
and when I want to comment the post button does not work.
I can access my e-mails but when I try to send one I get errors too and it does
not get sent. I tried my broadband provider but they were no help :(
I have googled my fingers to the bone and been tampering with everything I could
but nothing is helping at the moment! Anyone ever experienced anything like this?
Like I would not have enough problems as it is!...
.....don't even let me start on my blogger issues ......Rant Over (LOL)

I made a Wedding Card

This cd rom is just perfect if you need to make a wedding card and anything LOVE.
It's full of gorgeous digital elements to craft with and plenty of backing papers.
I did not have to do any colouring in on this one because the image of the bride and groom
prints out as used on my card without doing anyting to it.
The sentiment -( The words in the middle) was a freebie some time ago by lovely Marion
at "whenthescraphitsthefun.blogspot.com" but the rest of the sentiment
I designed myself to go with it.

Here is the card

(Sorry about the pictures quality)

Ingredients:

Digi -Papers and image - Polka Doodles Cd-rom (Love and Cherish)
Punches - X-Cut and MS
Dies - Joy!, Cheery Lynn, Nesties and Marianne
Sentiment (the middle bit of it) - was a free download by lovely Marion from  here
From my stash - Pearls, Crystal gemstones and Lace

I used (flipped) this lovely sketch#5 by  Addicted to Stamps & More!

Thank you very much for visiting everyone
All your comments are massively appreciated!

Birthday Dungarees

Hi Everyone, hope everyone is doing fine!
Thinking of those who aren't and going through very difficult times at the moment :)
I've also noticed  I have couple new followers.
Thank you very much for following my blog :)

I made a shaped Birthday card

I used a template from the net but had to engineer  my own pocket
to accommodate the shape of the digi-stamp .
I  treated myself to new digital papers for this one.
I also dusted off my impulse bought X amount of years old sewing machine Brother PS-31
and tried real stitching on this card. Mind you my sewing machine is broken
and it took me days to work out how to make it work, not mentioning
my  machine manual was nowhere to be found and  for the life of me
I could not remember how to do the bottom threading but after what seemed like hundreds of
tries and  balls of wasted thread :( I got lucky. I am also heavily medicated
so I should not operate any machinery in the first place (LOL)
For anyone wondering, I still do have all my fingers in one piece (LOL)
Do I hear you laughing at my wonky stitches? (LOL)
The digital stamps are by Bugaboo Stamps and the bear head(s) is by
The Crafty Pad designs which comes as a bear with body too but for my needs
I had to do a little painless decapitation.

Ingredients:
Digital papers and a digital image of a tree by - Just So Scrappy
The digital stamp on the pocket by - Bugaboo Stamps
The Digital stamp of the bear head ( comes as a full bear, I only used a head)  by - The Crafty Pad Designs
Die - Die-namics, Punches - X-cut and Hobby Craft
Petaloo "Color Me Crazy" flower layers
Colouring Medium - Promarkers
From my stash - lace, cat charm

And one more close up(s)

Thank you very much for taking time to visit and all your lovely
comments are massively appreciated.!

Merry Kiss-mas

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well, keeping warm
and getting ready for the festive season.
Welcome to my new followers too.

Today I would like to share a Christmas decoration I made.
I used quite a lot of digital stamps and digital images for this creation.
Exhausted myself with colouring in the digital stamps, glittered and also finally
had a chance to use pom-poms which make pretty good snowballs!

    Ingredients:

Digital Stamps by  Inky Impressions - New Release - Merry Kiss-mas
                                                                                                                               - Jingles The Elf
                                                                                                                               - Danny and Delilah's Sled Ride
Digital Stamp - The Snowman - FREEBIE - is By - Anji's Antics
The rest of the Digital Images come from- Polka Doodles cd roms
The Sentiment was a freebie by lovely Marion  from here but I think it has been removed now
Snowflake Punches - Tonic snowflake mini and snowflake accents
Glitter -red and green colours and Diamond Sparkles (Angel Whispers) by Hunkydory
Embossing folder - Cuttlebug, Memory Box Die - Frostyville border, Pom-Poms
Wire, Gemstones and Colouring medium - Promarkers

Bellow is a picture from a profile to show the dimension a bit more and
the Pom-Poms which I used as snowballs.

Tips.... 1. If you digitally join up lots of images together as I did in my design and make a mistake with colouring in, especially when you were just about done or don't  like the colours together! Paper piece the part of the image you do not like.
My example of this is "Mrs Penguin's skirt above" where I made a mistake with my colour choice (coloured her skirt in yellow which I did not like but then with the power of paper piecing I was able to save it and did not have to start all over again. Also if you used digital stamps make sure you save your design on your PC otherwise it is going to be pretty hard to match the size again and you may as well start all over again!
2. My second tip is : If you make something with a lot of fragile detail, especially pointy bits like I did with my decoration above (my printer takes only up to 250 gsm) and sending it by mail short or long distance, making a box for it is a must, but instead of wrapping it in the box and squashing the edges I glue it to the box with Repositionable Photo Glue ( just a few little drops of glue on the back of the creation), that way it does not rattle in the box, the fine edges do not get ruined and the recipient can take it out (peel it off) with no problem.

Thank you very much for visiting.
All comments very much appreciated!

Birthday Card For A Little Girl

Hi Everyone, hope you are all having relaxing weekend.

Today I would like to share a BIRTHDAY card
I made for one of our rellies.

Finally I got a chance to make something girly for a change.
It made me very happy to play with girly stuff for a change and use up
some  things I have been longing to use from my stash for some time now .
I have some digital Autumn papers which I have never used before,
so they were just perfect for this time of the year.
Also the digi stamp I used I won some time ago and still thanking  my lucky
stars for that one. Isn't the image just sweetness itself. Absolutely Love it!

Here is the BIRTHDAY CARD I made

I paper pieced her dress!

Now ...because I did so much matting and layering on the front,
the laws of the physics were not in my favour and I had to decorate
the inside of the card as well so the weight would even out and made my
card stable. I think with the amount of  layers and so much wet glue used,
by the time I finished, it made my card bullet proof!

I put together the BIRTHDAY Sentiment digitally myself
for the inside of the card.

Ingredients:

Digital Papers - from a kit called Autumn Thoughts (Designs by Megan Turnidge)
Digital Stamp - Disdigistamps
Kraft Card
Digital Sentiment - put together myself ( the little images in it created by some other talented people who I am giving a credit to but can't remember where I downloaded the images from )
Dies - Cheery Lynn, Joy! Spellbinders Nesties
Punch - Paper Shapers (Daisy)
Colouring Medium - Promarkers, Glitter - by Hunkydory
Distress ink - vintage photo
Paper Piecing done with the same paper as backing paper, just scaled down for the pattern size
From my stash - Flowers (WOC), Pearls, 1 Metal brad with a gemstone, lace, metal butterfly and alphabet beads.

Thank you very much for taking time to visit my blog and
any comment you leave me is very much appreciated!

Halloween - Matching 3-piece set

Hi Everyone, I hope all of you are doing well.

This year for my Halloween project
I  made a matching 3 piece set consisting of

Halloween card, Treat Box and Treat Bag

I used 2 digital images for my creations. It may seem like one but Yes
I used 2 !  I layered them in my graphics program and was very pleased
how nicely they blended together. I think those talented artists
who created them had me in their minds and by the way
did I mention the digital images are freebies!

The digital image of that cute little sweetheart with
the pumpkins is by a talented lady Sue from
Grand9Creations and you can find her amazing Freebie
I used HERE and plenty more!
The second digital image is a Freebie by talented Linda from
Random Thougths at Linda's Place and you can find her freebie I used HERE .
Have a look around her blog as well. There are plenty more amazing things
to look at there too. Thank you for sharing ladies!

Digital sentiment "I am too cute to spook" is by Wendy Tunison (When Witches Go Riding Kit)
Digital Sentiment " Spooky Treats" which I also used last year is by
lovely Amy at Leighs Paper Creations Digital Stamps

So here comes my Matching Halloween Set

 Halloween Card

Matching Treat Box - filled with sweets
with a side view picture next to it

I have never made this type of box and sadly do not have a degree
in engineering (LOL) so I  used a tutorial by one of the lovely
Inkettes (Fabiola) at Inky Impressions  and you can find her brilliant
tutorial HERE

And last in my set and I hope not least  is
my matching Treat Bag

For this one I did a bit of recycling.... yes you guessed it...
it's the cellophane bag.

Other ingridients I used to create my matching set:

punch - MS PATP
dies - Cheery Lynn, Nesties, Joy!,Marianne
Promarker - colour Pumpkin
Pearls and gemstones  ( colour changed with Pumpkin Promarker )
Pearl Hearts - (colour changed with Pumpkin Promarker as well )
Mini bow ribbons - in Orange and Black colours
Googly Eyes

And also many thanks for all my lovely followers who
leave comments on regular basis. It makes my very painful
an uncomfortable days fly a bit quicker.
Thank you also to my new followers as well.
You know who you are :)

Christmas Decoration in Teal

* Hi Everyone *

Where does the time go!? There is another
Giveaway at STUDIO 12 -
- Blog full of amazing creativity
and inspiration
Go and check them out

Over at Polka Doodles  this week the challenge is
 "Favourite Holiday and Colour Teal"
My favourite holiday is Christmas time so I made a Christmas decoration.
The trickiest part was finding a paper in teal colour.
At the end I liked the pattern of the paper I used and had to  re colour
it in "Serif"  (the pattern of the paper was originally yellow colour ).

The idea for this decoration came from
watching "Create & Craft " TV. One of the demonstrators
which I can't remember who now was sharing
an idea of a home decoration and I thought I could have a go
at it one day and brighten up my house with something new
and  here it is!

Ingridients:
Digital paper (original colour yellow ) - by Memory Lane Studios
Martha Stewart - PATP, Snowflake - Sizzix die,
Glitter - Hunkydory, Brads - Joy Crafts,
Promarker - for changing colour of gemstones, brads and pearls
Beads, gemstones, pearl string and other elements from my stash.

Thank you very much for visiting and all your lovely comments

* Michaela *
