Smile - stamping with a stencile and then embossing

Hi everyone!
I am going to show you what happens when you use a stencil to stamp. I choose a big swirl and pressed it carefully against a Watermark/embossing ink pad and then I carefully placed it on my page. I then used a brayer to make sure i got a transfer onto my page.
After removing the stencil, I just poured on the embossing powder as normal and heated with an embossing fan. If you do not have that you can hold it over the electric stove - works just as well.

Ribbon flower tutorial

Hi and welcome to my ribbon flower tutorial. I am sure many of you have seen it before but I am also sure there will some of you that havent tried this before.
I will show you step by step how to make the pink and white dotted ribbon flower in the left lower corner of my layout that also is a part of one of the September kits for Scrap -with-V:

Now we will make a flower .
I recommend that you try to make one flower first before adding the glue dots for practice. This also let you see if your paper circle has the right size of the base circle.

Cut out a circle from a piece of paper.

Staple one end of the ribbon to the centre of the circle and add some glue dots or similar to the rest of the circle. Be careful so the ribbon does not stick.

Holding the circle with the attached ribbon in one hand, twist the ribbon until it is all twisted.

Start from the centre mounting the twisted ribbon in circles.

Mount the edge of the ribbon on the back side of the circle (with a glue dot) after cutting off any parts of the circle sticking outside of the ribbon.

Add the flower to the page.

Here is how to make it.

1) Cut a round shape out of a 12x12 paper. I used a big circle as a template.

2) Use a border punch to create lots of stripes of borders. I used a Martha Stewart punch.

3) Ink all the edges and crumble the stripes of borders.

4) Use some type of paper tape (that you can machine stitch through) for exampel washi tape and mount the stripes around the round shape. Overlap between the stripes and put the tape on the back side.

5) Put a cord on the edge and machine stitch over the cord.

6) Tie a rosette . Now you are ready with the base. Just add photos and decos.

Traces of Christmas

I have made some simple gift wraps from envelopes and some pattern paper and ribbons.

Jag har gjort några enkla paketpåsar med kuvert, mönstrat papper och band.

Do it like this:

1. seal an envelope; you can use different sizes but a square envelope is best.
2. cut off one of the sides.
3. start at te top (the open side) and decorate for example with stripes of paper
4. when you are almost at the bottom, fold the sides and the botomm and then open up the envelope to make a bag out of it.
5. Fold in the bottom and seal
6. Fill with goodies and seal the top by folding it.
7. some last decorations and voila - a sweet gift exchange package with yummy goodies inside.

Christmas Countdown December 1

Our yearly Christmas preparations includes cutting a christmas three. Last years three cutting was not at all as joyful as it looks on this page. DD 1 year old was screeming without a brea for over one hour but I managed to get one good photo. A tutorial is found over at the Best Creation Blog.

First I cut out the red and white polka striped border.
Then I made stripes of green with the branch border punch and framed inside the polka striped border.
I punched out 3 circles and attached ribbins and a rosett.

This is how I made the tree:

First cut the paper in strips with a punch

then cut apart the strips into tiny pieces that you

will layer. Starting at the bottom and then going up

and in to the top, you can create this beautiful tree for your page!

Small gift bag tutorial - en liten presentpåse med demo

Någonstans på internet såg jag en superenkel men cool presentpåse som man gör av lite tejp och ett kuvert. Jag har letet och letat efter ar jag hittade och nu vet jag . Det är fantastiska Jessica Jones om gjort förlagan.

I saw this idea somewhere on the internet and then I have looked and looked and finaly I found it again. For an English tutorial go to faboulous Jessica Jones.

Börja med ett kuvert, försegla det och klipp av ena änden.
tejpa runt hela kuveret.



När du kommer till botten så viker du in kanterna på kuveret (ca 1 tum) för att få veck och sedan öppnar du upp det. Vik in botten och tejpa även den.



Dekorera. Voila!

Answer to question

The small circles on my last post is made by using gesso and punchinella.
I used a pallet knife and smeared over the gesso and then just lifted upp the punchinella and let it dry.

Lite tips och trix

Jag har skapat ännu en layout med de underbara Basic Grey Basic-papperna men ville ha en annan form och mindre fyrkantigt .
Jag valde ut ett annat papper med formen som jag önskade och sen ritade jag på baksidan av pappret som hade rätt färger, och klippte ut. Jag chalkade kanterna för att få en snygg och proffsig finish på mitt hemmaklipp.
Jag ville också ha med en av de snygga Jenni Bowlin BINGObrickorna, men den var för stor för att passa på layouten så jag skar av en kant och monterade på fotot.


Vimpeln är utskuren med silhouetten i brun vinyl och sen har jag bara handklipps små trianglar av 2 olika papper från BASIC-serien. Även fågeln är utskuren i vinyl med Silhouetten. Ögat kommer från pärlbandet, helt enkelt en pärla som ramlade av och det kan man ju inte slänga :).

Lite tips och trix vid montaget... för att förenkla....

Först klippte jag en remsa av crepe-pappret.

Sen chalkade jag det lite ojämnt runt om.

Jag veckade det lite och sydde på det på bakgrundspappret

För att förenkla sydde jag fast fotot på fotomattan innan jag fäste det på bakgrundspapprat - enklare att hantera mindre enheter i symaskinen.

När jag monterade biljetten med staples så nådde min häftapparat inte ända in så jag la ett korkunderlägg under, häftade fast och vek in häftan på baksidan efteråt.

Dina vackra ögon - steg för steg

Tänkte att jag skulle ta och prova på en beskrivning {se den pyttelilla texten i bilderna eller klicka på bilden för att göra den större}. Jag har blivit ombedd att visa hur jag gör mina blomrankor men detta blir för hela layouten.

Jag ville ha en die-cut shape på mitt mönstrade papper men hittade inget i de färger jag ville ha så jag gjorde en egen avBasic Greys "green at heart".

Sen började jag med dekorationerna, först en blomma alla Rimna

Lite mera detaljer...

Och till slut min egen blomranka.
Ta en bit bladband. Vira blommor med ståltrådsstjäl försiktigt runt bandet. Börja uppifrån. Variera med olika blommor eller flera av samma efter tycke och smak.


Och sen är det bara att montera det hela på layouten. Jag använder oftast häftapparat.
