A little girls creative space...

I have been creative this week.  But there has been a little girl who has been creative as well.

Her Princess dress was made in the dark of the night and under top secret means.  She knew what she was getting,  well she hoped and prayed that she would get what she asked for and even told me the day before that I "had better sew it tonight!" Bless her.

She descided that PJ would require a new outfit for the occassion as well.  On Monday she sat and traced around her beloved bear and drafted a pattern.  My Mum helped her to cut it out.

On Tuesday I cut out the material for her as she took photos in preparation for the blog post.

We then set up the machine and she helped to sew the dress.

An hour later and PJ was set for a party.

With PJ sorted it meant that Mum had to sit and finish the dress for a Princess.  Make sure you grab a cuppa and hear over here.

A Birthday Princess

Just a few photos of the birthday girl.  I think that I successfully pulled of an almost handmade birthday party and gifts this year.

The cake, may I present to you Princess Dolly Varden.  I am so impressed that I pulled this off and that the cake was not a flop (I read some horror stories on the net)  When it came out of the tin perfectly I was doing a happy dance around the kitchen chanting a little chant.

Thanks must also go to my lovely friend Steph who bought along the cutest crown biscuits and mini pav's that were devoured by the Mum's.  Also to my Husband who stood and put the tea cups together and to my Mum and Dad, who cut, threaded, stuck and helped to watch as little 2 year old fingers threatened to lick, suck and taste every thing that was happening around him.

And every Princess needs a dress, and this princess asked for a pink Sleeping Beauty dress.

Hugs

A busy week of organising and running around and the list of things that I want to do just keep getting longer.

We took a little drive during the week and I managed to get on the other side of the camera.

Hugs with my little miss - where on earth has the last 5 years gone.  I can hardly believe that she will be five on Wednesday. Breath in - ahh and wiping away the tears and looking forward to what the next 5 years bring.

My Creative Space...

Well this knit has been a few weeks coming.

Love Love Love it.  Another fantastic pattern by the wonderful Tikki. Happily named Cassia and is the second petal to be released in this super cute range.

I was going to stop at tunic length - But the dress/skirt loving Princess had other ideas.

I was going to save this for her birthday - but could not wait to try it on her.  Thinking that if Georgie ever takes the sizing to Adult I will need one in my wardrobe as well.

Grab yourself a cuppa and sandwich and check out the other crafty peeps around the globe at Kootoyoo

My Creative Space

Sorry for the disappearance.  I have been here and still crafting and dreaming of the warmer weather that is knocking on our door.

I finished this last week and it is on it's way across the sea to a special destination as part of the Here comes the sun swap.

I am still knit knit knitting the length of the dress for Amelia and hoping that I can have that off of the needles this weekend.  The invites for her party are all rolled up and ready to give out to her little friends.  How cute do they look!
Hopefully I will have a knitted dress to show of next week.  For more creative spot pop over to Kootoyoo

All dressed up...

with somewhere to go.

We headed out on Saturday night to a Wedding.
I knitted a new shrug to cover the shoulders when we headed out on the terrace to view the fire works that were Riverfire and to see the last time the F1-11's will ever fly in our skies.
For details on the shrug head over to Ravelry .
