The end has arrived

No not of me blogging, don't get all excited, only of this series of clown cards! I am now posting the last of the ones I made, and unless someone specifically asks for one, there won't be another one posted in the too near future, lol!

So my last set of clown numbers are a few sixes, a five and a seven, some for girls and some for boys. I tried to do a variety of shapes even though I used the same paper more than once. It does make it a lot easier to stick to the same paper when you have to do a few of something.

The nestabilities dies are ideal for getting cute shaped cards. You just have to find a way for the oddly shaped ones to stand. Otherwise I think they are pretty neat.

These were all coloured with prisma pencils and blended with sansador. I did not add much to them as they are small cards and I didn't want to overdo this little card with a huge big embellishment. I could maybe have included a happy birthday sentiment to some, but I actually clean forgot, oops!

These have now all gone to my friend, and I sure hope she is happy with them. Not sure the 5 or 6 year old who will receive them will ever know how much time I spent on it, but it was all worth it :-)

I need to get going, Jingle is on the table again and acting just like a spoilt kitten playing with everything, standing in front of my screen, throwing things off the table *sigh*.

See you soon.

A home-made facelift?

Another Stella did I hear you say, lol. Now can I help it that I love Stella, and that she is just ideal for the birthday cards I have been needing lately. Luckily this is not me, or at least not yet, woohoo! This one is also for my mom for her 70th, and I think it is JUST perfect. So if you are tired of Stella already, sorry, and I have to warn you there's another one coming. My mom's friend asked me to make her a card as well so it will definitely be Stella again. My mother might change her hair style to this after all these Stella cards, rofl.

I coloured her with my prisma pencils and blended it with sansador (gamsol). Then cut the image out with my long rectangle nesties and layered it on a scalloped rectangle. I added a bit of glaze pen to her glasses, as usual not visible in the photo, and no glitter. I didn't think it called for glitter, hopefully I was right.

I have finished my clown numbers cards, I just have to take a picture of the last one and then they'll be up here. There are 4 of them, but don't worry, I will post them all together. They are all cute, and I hope my friend is happy with them. You never know if you really manage to do what people request, but I guess if not they won't come back hey.

That's that for today. I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday, it's at least a lovely sunny day here, but it's still winter, it's not going to fool me, hehehe.

When I grow up

A friend of mine (Colleen's), niece is turning 21, the theme for her party is 'When I grow up'. That is where the sentiment for this card came from... and NO, it was not my idea, but Colleen's herself. I didn't put up much of an argument though, lol! Colleen, I hope you like it!!

The image is another from Bugaboo Stamps (note they only do digital images :-)). I must say I love the images that Jodie, she's Bugaboo herself, comes up with. One thing I have come to love with digital images is that you can make them any size that you may need, unlike rubber stamps. For this card, I wanted to make something a bit bigger than usual and it was great that I could resize the image and not have this tiny little image lost on my card. That was the same for the invites I made for my mom's 70th. I wanted smaller cards and it was just perfect that I could make Stella smaller. If any of you are still uncertain go to the Bugaboo freebie page and try the freebies for this week. (There are new freebies every Friday!) This week there are 3 freebies and they are too cute.

I printed the image with a laser printer, then left it for a day to dry properly. I coloured it with my prismacolor pencils and blended it with sansador (gamsol). This time I could not use a nestie, because the image was a bit too big for any of the nesties I have. I cut it with my craft knife and layered it on some DP made locally. The border was done with a Martha Stewart punch. I love that punch!!!

I also decorated the inside of the card, just cause it is for a special occasion. I was specifically asked to put '21' on it, but I just did not think it would fit on the front, so doing the inside of the card was a perfect solution!

I hope to make at least one more post this week, it is almost 3 weeks since I posted anything. I did finish this card a while back, but I just hadn't posted it. It's winter here, and it's cold, and it makes me not want to do anything but sit in front of the heater, lol.

I hope some of you are watching the soccer (football) world cup, hosted here in South Africa. I never, I mean NEVER, watch soccer, but I was glued to the TV watching Bafana Bafana (that means The Boys), play Mexico yesterday. I am so pleased we did not lose. Can't wait for our next game on Wednesday, and we have a public holiday, so the whole country will be watching. Although I think the country already came to a stand still with yesterday's game.

I'm done for today. See you soon.

A gorjuss girl

....and no it's not me. I have used another image which Paula sent me ages ago. Slowly I am getting to them, and just love all the images everyone has sent me in the past year or so. Debbi don't go too far, yours are next, lol!

This card was for my mom for mother's day, I figured it's Jingle and I, except that Jingle is not brown, I am not that young, and definitely not so petite and small, rofl. But it's the thought that counts hey.

I coloured the image with my prismacolor pencils then blended it with sansador (gamsol), cut it with my nestie and shaded the edges with a bit of chalk ink. The piercing I did free hand, just to add a little extra something and the sentiment is from Stamping Bella. Last but not least, the paper came from Jeanie, it was in the parcel she sent. See I told you it was a great parcel. Anyone else wanting to send me parcels just shout I will give you my address!!! LOL!

That's me for today. I haven't had a chance to enter any challenges this week, oh like I am the queen of challenges all of a sudden. I entered 2 and now I am disappointed that I didn't get to any, hehehe.

Have a great evening, hopefully I'll be back over the weekend.

Happy Easter

Firstly, HAPPY EASTER! Hope you're having a wonderful Easter weekend with loads of chocolate eggs!

I came across this image from Mo's digital pencil! It is one of her freebies! Yes I could not believe it either that she was giving such a gorgeous image away for free, but I am definitely not complaining. I absolutely love this image and could NOT wait to colour it. In case you are wondering I found it on Paper Craft Planet when I became a member of Mo's group.

I coloured little Mr Rabbit with my Prismacolor pencils & blended it with sansador (gamsol). The border was done with one of my EK Success punches, which reminds me! The punch I used on Puff below was sent to me by my buddy Jeanie aka The Spotted Chick! The twine on the button is from Stampin' Up and it was part of the little parcel from Jeanie! Aren't I just the luckiest person ever!!! She sent me all sorts of exciting fun stuff.

I did not want to add too much to this card, I wanted the image to be the main feature. It is too precious to take away from it with all sorts of embellishments. So I kept it really simple.

That's that, now go visit Jeanie's blog if you want to win some candy. She has 100 followers and 50'000 hits and is celebrating by giving away some blog candy! All you have to do is leave her a comment. How easy is that. Even if you don't win the candy, it is worth visiting her blog. She is so talented and her work is such a treat to look at. I am sure you will get lots of inspiration.

I am hoping to make at least 2 more cards this weekend, so I don't post only once a week. I am enjoying doing this at my time though. It is such a pleasure not to have any pressure.

Oh and lastly I changed the look of my blog. Thought it was time to zhoosh is up a little. Hope it is not too much, I don't like too much, lol!

Bye for now.

A colour purple

It's late and I can hear my bed calling my name loud and clear, so I'm going to be quick tonight, now don't look so happy about that, lol.

I have made another Christmas card, this time with a Bella image which my friend Paula, the pencil wizard, sent me. Yes she's a wizard, have you seen what she does with a pencil?? Go see her blog if not, but please don't stay there too long and forget about me!

This image is called 3 Little Trees, which funny enough, is exactly what it is hahaha!!! It was coloured with prisma pencils, blended with grumtine (gamsol), and cut with a craft knife, no nesties poor nesties. The mat in the background was done with my swiss dot cuttlebug folder, and I added a little glamour dust with my quickie glue pen. Oh the wavy border was an EK Success punch.

Lastly don't forget Bellarific Friday, the theme this week is flowers/nature, and my card is already done. Okay I made a really simple easy card, but I loved it plain and simple, it was not a case of being lazy, O.K.

Also go and check our new babe Jeanie, she just joined, and she is so talented. She has her own unique style and I love visiting her blog and leaving comments. Don't we all love comments, it's strange hey, makes you feel you are not doing all this blogging and sharing for nothing.

Off to bed I go, I couldn't sleep last night and now of course I know all about it.

Circus is in town

When I saw this image at Stamping Bella, it reminded me of my childhood days and going to the circus. It was always such fun and I imagined circus people have their own secret societies. Now that I'm all grown up, I guess not, they're just ordinary people like the rest of us.

Of course my ideal circus has no animals in it. Animals do not belong in a circus and should never have to have a life of moving around in a cage doing tricks!

My usual trusty little prismas were used to colour this image and I blended it with grumtine as per usual too. I had fun colouring it, not often you would use such bright colours, but when it came to putting the card together, I was somewhat challenged. I did not chose the paper before colouring - BIG mistake!!!

The wavy border was done with my EK Success border punch, I added lots of baubles, LOVE them, and glitter with my quickie glue pen, love that too - I love, love, love all this wonderful crafting stuff!!! - LOL.

But of course I cannot omit to mention this card is for Bellarific Friday!!! Yeah yeah, go see the creations and leave a comment, you might win some Bella bucks!

It's Friday and I have the day off!!! Woooohoooo....

So many babies

When I was at the doctor the other day he told me that on average 1.5 million babies are born every month worldwide! My jaw dropped, I could not believe it. That sure is a lot of babies.

This card here is to celebrate just one of those occasions. A happy couple who recently had a baby boy.

My happy couple from Stamping Bella, were coloured with my Prismacolor pencils, cut out with nesties, and mounted on 3d foam. I added a bit of glitter to the baby's blanket, but it's not visible, again. The sentiment is also from Bella, and I think it is just too clever. I am not very good with quirky clever sentiments, nor can I write nicely like some people I know, so I'm very happy to buy them instead.

That's it for tonight then. I am quite tired, have been the whole week. I've been SO lazy to get up in the mornings, which has resulted in me getting to work late, okay later than my usual late, lol.

Oooooh and just before I go! It is still warm here!!! And I did a 5 day weather forecast for Jo'burg and it's staying for the next 5 days!!!! Isn't that wonderful.

Woofin' it Up

Okay time to own up, who has not been to see the new range of stamps at Stamping Bella!!?? And why not, lol! You really should go have a look, and while you're there check out the specials, lots of nice bargains to be had.

On to my card, which is what this is all about. I just had to have, haven't I said that a million times before, this stamp when I saw it on the Bella site, Woofin' it Up. I LOOOOOOVE dogs, I LOOOOOOOVE animals, and I LOOOOOOVED colouring this image. I recognised what bread each dog was, but I didn't know their exact colouring etc, so, on to google (images), I went and googled them one by one as I coloured them. Thank goodness for the Blackberry. It was rather challenging for me to colour a black scottie so I cheated a little, just to get some dimension in there. I'll have to wait for the masters, Paula and Linda to colour it so I can see how it's really done!

The gang was coloured with prisma pencils, blended with grumtine (just for a change), and cut out with a nestie, yeah even a regtangle shape deserves a nestie ;-) I used my new EK Success punch for the first time. I had seen it used so often, and thought it was a great finish and of course had to have it, see there I go again. Oh the noses of the dogs are all wet and shiny as a dog's nose should be (done with my Sakura clear glaze pen), but the photo doesn't show it, aaaah I'm so sad about that.

Well I cannot believe I have done so many posts this week already, in fact it has been one a day! It's a record for me. But fear not, I will be back tomorrow night, I'm not gonna let you miss me. Okay I know, there are thousands of blogs to visit, which is what I need to do. My google reader has at least 500 unread items!!!

Paula, I think your warm weather got here. It is much warmer today. I am holding thumbs it lasts till the weekend, cause we have a long weekend. Wooohooo, I've not seen one of those in a long time.

Got to run, Gossip Girl is about to start. Shhhh don't tell anyone that I'm THIS old and love to watch GG, hehehe!
