Hello
The new case file is up at CSI and there is some amazing inspiration .I was honoured to be a Special Investigator for the month of November and feeling a bit sad it has come to an end, the month sure has flown .
The file is as follows
This is my take
This is my beautiful Grandson Jedd on his 11th Birthday, he has just turned 12 recently.
Evidence ~ Numbers,
Wood ~ the Prima wooden smile sign and Kaiser Basecoat collection woodgrain PP
Frame ~ the Polaroid frame
Use glossy accents ~ I have used dimensional magic over the number 11 chippies after I have inked them grey
Testimony ~ I have journalled as a Recipe
One Beautiful boy named Jedd
Add one Nanna who adores him
A sprinkle of Humour
A dash of Kindness
Result = Love
Thanks for popping by, hope you are enjoying your weekend and get some time to scrap. Join in at CSI and also would love to see your join the challenges at Orange Paperie and ColorMeScrappy
I am busy today getting ready for a special visitor next week, which I am very excited about.
I am having the pleasure of Lizzy Hill visiting me :) Lots of citrus tarts and scrapping inspiration coming up :)

PIXELS AND PAPER CHALLENGE ~ WHERE A BOY IS HAPPY
Good Afternoon on this lovely sunny day. I am really enjoying the inspiration at Pixels and Paper , but when I saw the image this month I didn't think I had anything to scrap, until ...... I found a photo of my husband when he was a little lad at his Grandparents farm in Crookwell.
The Challenge image
and my take on the challenge
I was inspired by Jasmine Shea's technique in this months Scrapbook Creations Mag to use all those strips we save from the end of our Pattern Paper . Such a great way to use all those strips up . I glued them over a Piece of PP that I no longer like and brushed gesso over the top as per Jasmine's technique. In some places I made the gesso lighter to let more of the Pattern through.
I punched down one side and then decided I wanted to place a couple of layers underneath to form a frame. So...... I trimmed the punched edge off as I liked the rose showing through on the other side. When I trimmed the punched side I thought it looked pretty cool and put it aside to use on another layout at some stage. But..... then I thought it might look good tucked in between the two layers on the opposite side. I tried it and I liked it :)
The cogs are from the Trinket Track , the Moments photo tab is from Scrapfriends . The Chipboard is I think is a 2Crafty one from Craftqueen ,which I have embossed . Old twine and muslin. Cobweb trim from Craftqueen and the gorgeous flair button is from StudioFourteen40, I am loving their flairs.
This little boy is turning 60 tomorrow !
Thank you for calling, please let me know you were here

CSI #98 ~ MUM'S ROSES
Hello,
I am still playing catch up with my blog posts, but you still have a couple of days to join in with challenge #98 over at CSI
Evidence ~Poka Dots, Frame, Labels, Spiral Notebook Punch, ribbon
Testimony ~ Journalling in a pocket ~ As my Brother once said Mum would be able to make a stick grow.Mum had the most beautiful roses. These roses are from my garden, but from roses Mum struck from her garden for me. The big orange ones is special as it's name is "Just Joey". I brought the rose for for Mum, as my eldest son's name is Joseph. So there is a "Just Joey" rose bush in Mum's Rose Garden, One in my garden and Joseph has one in His garden.
My layout
I wanted this to have a vintage feel to it.
The resin Square of flowers is from Craftqueen as is the Gorgeous MME Brads and loopey braid and satin Seam binding & gold flower bead. The old lace is from my wedding going away outfit, the thread is from my Mums.
Hope you can find the time to join in on the challenge and don't forget Orange Paperie Jo has a fantastic sketch challenge and CMS : has a gorgeous colour challenge
My Sweet Grandson turned 12 yesterday
and his Mum made him a pretty awesome cake
Thanks for popping by, almost the weekend :)

COLORMESCRAPPY #50 AND WHAT I GOT UP TO LAST WEEKEND
Good afternoon,
I am running a little late with this post as my last post didn't load on schedule while I was away.
But..... the new challenge is up at color me scrappy and we would love for you to join in with us
The DT have some gorgeous layouts to inspire you , so pop on over . The twist is to use texture
This is my eldest son when he was a little boy and we were having a holiday with friends at Coffs Harbour.
I used a lot of left over bits and pieces that were on my desk to make this. The frames were the negatives from a die cut, the stars were left overs , the tag was used to use up left over mist.
The washi is from Craftqueen . The little sparkle confetti are from my Mum's treasure tin. CW template from Craftqueen. Thank you Annette for the white netting and I have also used Plaster's tape and mists.
The gorgeous By the Seaside flair is from StudioFourteen40 . I love their flairs and they have a fantastic range.
Thanks so much for calling by. Look forward to seeing some amazing entries.
I promised I would share what I was up to last weekend...... Well my husband is turning the big 60 and one of the things on his bucket list was to do the Harbour Bridge Climb, so......
he thought we were going to Sydney for the Leonard Cohen Concert (which we were , and it was fantastic) , but I had a few surprises up my sleeve as well.
Firstly he thought we were staying at our daughters on the Friday night, but we stayed at a lovely Motel near the Bridge
That night we wandered around the rocks ,and ended up in a German Bar/Restaurant and Victor enjoyed his first Stein
This turned out to be a really on the spur of the moment kind of fun night. We talked about what I would like to do on my bucket list and started making plans for the one thing I would like to do .... Live overseas for 6 months :) not going to happen for a few more years, but at least we have started thinking about it.
Next day we climbed the bridge !
It was fantastic and now ticked off his bucket list.
Then next on the list for the weekend, dinner at Darling Harbour and the Leonard Cohen concert. Leonard did not disappoint
We stayed at our Daughters that night and next day it was her turn to surprise her Dad. Chelsea and her partner Lucas took us to Doyle's at Watson Bay for lunch (another thing my husband has wanted to do)
So he got very spoilt and it all went to plan without him having a clue (amazing). It was a BIG weekend and we loved every minute of it.
Sorry for the long post
Love and peace

ORANGE PAPERIE NOVEMBER CHALLENGE
Hello one and all,
As I have scheduled this to upload on the 15th and the first time I have done this I hope it works, so fingers crossed. The challenge over at Orange Paperie for the month of November set by Jo is a sketch and its a beauty

I can see lots of gorgeous layouts coming from this :) Pop over to Orange Paperie to see the beautiful layouts from the other DT members and our GD the lovely Val Thorpe. So lots of inspiration to get the creative juices flowing.
Also Jo would like you to use fussy cutting or die cuts on your layout, or both if you wish :)
This is my take on the challenge
LOVE IS ALL YOU NEED
I didn't realize my daughter took this photo . An everyday moment, but when I saw it , I realized an everyday moment that was a special moment. It was probably the last time my daughter saw her Grandma.
I wanted the layout to reflect the things Mum liked ~ the Pretty floral PP, the vintage style washi tape. The bird stamp, Mum loved birds and also signifies that she is now flying free, the roses ~ Mum loved roses and had a beautiful rose garden. The reel of cotton, she was a lovely sewer. Also on the reel of Cotton embellie it say's with love , mending cotton. This signifies our relationship ~ Mum could be quite difficult at times, stubborn, strong minded and said what she thought and boy she could give me the rounds of the kitchen, so even though we loved each other, sometimes the mending cotton was needed. The pretty blue lace down the side is from Mum's laces. And now I am feeling quite emotional I will move onto some close ups
Satin seam binding, bits of braid and little bead bow from Craftqueen
Little flower beads are also from Craftqueen
Treasure the everyday moments as it is true you look back and realize they are the big moments
Don't forget to join in on the challenge
I will leave you with a photo of what I did last weekend in practice for what I am doing this weekend ;) that will be revealed next post
Lets just say I forgot how steep this was and I realized I am seriously unfit !
Love and Peace

LET IT BE GNOME
Hello !
A light hearted post today for Dee about Gnomes ! :)
Dee has been rejuvenating some garden Gnomes which made me think of this little guy that belonged to my Father In Law. As you can see I did a page on him when I was doing 365 Project a few years ago. He is quite a special little guy for us.
I have also now acquired my Mum's Garden Gnomes and after taking a pic for Dee realized they needed some sprucing up
So I got the paints out
Much better :) I kinda like Garden Gnomes, well just one or two not a whole tribe of them .
I also have a card to share ( I don't do cards very often) but it is hubby's birthday not this weekend but next and it is a big one !
This weekend we are going to the Leonard Cohen concert, but I have some other little surprises up my sleeve. Wonder if he will guess when I give him his card
So far he has no idea , and I know this is something that is on his bucket list :)
The Photo of the bridge is from DarkRoom Door , as is the Journey stamp on the inside of the card. The words on the front of the card are from the Teresa Collins Far and away range of PP
So I am hoping the weekend goes to plan and it is one he will remember .
Love and Sunshine

SCRAP THE BOYS CHALLENGE
Hello people
When I saw the challenge over at Scrap the Boys I knew exactly what I wanted to scrap, as I had come across this photo a few days ago. The theme is Man's Best Friend and this is a photo of my eldest son with his first dog that his Granddad had given him
The PP is Kaiser . I have used washi tape here and there on the sides . Some stamping , I am trying to use my stamps more.
The flair button is StudioFourteen40 . The cogs are from the trinket track , the gold beads are from Craftqueen
I have added journalling on the tag. Unfortunately it had a sad ending as Beau was a young dog and a bit silly and a little boy visiting left the gate open and it had a sad ending
:( that I won't go into here.
Some close ups
The moments photo tab is Pink Paislee from scrapfriends and they come in a packet with heaps of sayings
Thanks so much for calling by. Don't forget the challenges over at OrangePaperie where we have the lovely Val Thorpe as GD for the month and Color Me Scrappy for a fantastic colour palette and sketch .
I am a wee bit , well a LOT excited as someone I have been wanting to meet for awhile is coming to stay with me for a couple of days :) Yes I am sitting here with a big smile on my dial
Love and Peace

CLASS LAYOUT AND CSI # 95
Hello everyone
A day off work so thought I would share a couple of layouts with you.
Firstly this is my layout for my class this weekend
Because of my photo I have made it heritage, but with a reverse of the colours ie more blue and a touch of brown , my class can change it to beachy I figure if they like.
Really love the new Kaiser film strip stamp and gorgeous Prima flowers, both from Craftqueen as is the lock charm. Some of my Mum's sewing twine, coffee stained canvas, a touch of muslin ( I love the softening effect it gives) . Blue Satin seam binding also from Craftqueen and some plasterer's tape.
I embossed my brown cardstock with old keys. Little brown rosettes from Craftqueen and some clock washi. The photo is of my Husbands Family . His Mum is on the end , far right.
Another layout I have done for CSI #95
I find these colours hard to photograph for some reason
Evidence ~ Paint, distressing, Wood (Happiness is a Prima wood word that I have coloured with gelato.
Tie something ( I have tied the journal tag with Bakers twine),Fabric ~ I have a touch of muslin
Testimony ~ On tag tucked in the side
After Xmas sometimes with my brother Garry, we would rent a holiday house at Mollymook on the south coast and take Mum for a holiday. Mum was not really fond of the water, being a country girl. But she liked to splash salt water on her skin to help heal her skin cancers. We would take Mum for morning teas, drives and shopping. This sadly was the last holiday with Mum
I have used Mists and Water colour paints, old doily cut up and the flair button is from StudioFourteen40 . Blue daisies and braids from Craftqueen.
Thanks so much for taking the time to call by. Love to know you have been here.
Hope your week is fabulous.
Love and Peace
