MORE 75c RANGE ~ HELLO SAILOR

I am really enjoying scrapping some of my travel pages again,  they bring the memories rushing back and I soooooo want to go travelling again, I LOVE to travel, I think it should be my full time job :)
This sailor graciously agreed to have photo's with us. We just happened upon Capitol Hill in Rome and there was soooo much to see here. I really enjoyed this area. This photo was taken at the tomb of the unknown soldier and the eternal flame

I made the flower out of canvas and then glimmermisted it and added a little flower charm from Craftqueen
I didn't have a smaller leaf in the colour I wanted so I took a leaf (pardon the pun hehe ) out of Kim Ewins http://lifeisabalancingactx8.blogspot.com.au/  book and made one out of canvas

Thanks so much for popping by

SCRAPFRIENDS Sketch Challenge & NEARLY meeting Miss Lizzy

Hello fellow scrappy friends
I have been catching up on some scrapping withdrawals. Yesterday I received my order from Scrapfriends and couldn't help to get creative straight away. I love the sketches over at scrapfriends. This is the current sketch

This is my take on the sketch
Two of the gorgeous girls on Navutu Island

The big button, washi tape and little black bead are from Craftqueen

The camera is Amy Tangerine , the sweet garland and PP & tag are from Scrapfriends
The journalling on the tag says " The village children may not have a lot by Western Standards materialistic wise, but they are the happiest, most beautiful souls, they shine"

And I nearly got to meet Lizzy Hill, how cool would that have been! Lizzy and I were flying out to Melbourne on the same morning on different flights and we were going to try and catch a quick hello at the airport, but...... alas, due to late trains and new check in systems the universe conspired against us, but nearly. Hopefully we will get to meet one day as we seem to be soul sisters, its uncanny we like and think the same things , often at the same time ! weird
Sunshine and peace and rain where needed

SUMMER HOLIDAYS AT THE FARM ~ SCRAP THE BOYS

Hello
I had a wonderful time in Melbourne, but it is good to be home and scrapping.
This layout is for the Challenge at Scrap The Boys. http://scraptheboys.blogspot.com.au/ The challenge is to scrap a favourite holiday/ summertime of your sons.
When my children were little we would always go to my husbands Families Farm. The kids loved it, playing with their cousins and doing farm things :)

This layout is of my Eldest Son Joe (now 34) and his great Uncle (Herbie) who's actual name is Tony, but you know us Australians always have to give people nick names

The Pioneer is from a old fashion peg box

Thanks for calling by, and don't forget to pop over to Scrap the Boys and be inspired by the DT's Layouts .
Wishing you
Sunshine and happiness

This is a layout just for me, it a bit of therapy perhaps, had the words from the Rodriguez mulling around in my head and decided to do a page scrapped from the heart.

USE YOUR STUFF CHALLENGE

Evening everyone
When I came across the challenge over at Use Your Stuff site http://useyourstuff.blogspot.com.au/ I knew I wanted to participate, firstly I love Joni Mitchell and the Circle Game is one of my favourite songs, I also knew the exact photo I wanted to use

We were having a holiday in Sydney with my Father In Law and I remember it was so, so hot, a bit like it is atm here.

I used scraps to create this, the bottom half of the layout is a scrap piece of paper, the top right hand corner is a piece of cream cardstock that I have misted to go with the bottom ( did a pretty good job I reckon) , the piece with the carousel is from a pack and I have covered the joins with tags ect

Thank you for popping by , don't forget to check out Orange Paperies http://orangepaperieandco.blogspot.com.au/ Challenge  for January and join us in showing us your creations
Peace and Happiness
