We have Shared

The word for over at http://birdisthewordchallenge.blogspot.com/ this month is Share. I must admit this had me stumped for awhile as I was trying to think of a pic that I could use. Then I thought why not scrap a pic of me and my Best friend of over 30 years, as we sure have shared some times together. Leanne has the driest sense of humour and has had me laughing till my stomach hurts more times than I can remember. We have got up to mischief together, got in to trouble together, had the best times together and shared the sad and hard times as well. We have laughed and cried and shared our secrets and I turn to her when I need a  ear to listen to my worries and she always says just the right thing , so that I realise things are never as bad as I think, (well they might be, but she makes me feel better lol)  I love her to death and I am so lucky to have her in my life.
I have use the A4 Madeline Range from Prima, gees I love this pad of papers and have used it heaps.I also used Scrapware Corri alpha's, My Minds Eye 6 x6 PP, Muslin ( I always seem to have muslin somewhere on my layouts) A big button I found out at Mum's, Tulle ribbon that the lovely Susan gave me and card stock and Gesso.

I got the Prima A4 Madeline PP and MME 6x6 Pad from Over at http://www.craftqueen.com.au/

It is raining here today so hard to get a pic of the true colours.
Thanks for looking and enjoy the rest of your weekend

Sweet Journey

Hello lovelies

This is my layout for http://onceuponasketchblog.blogspot.com/ criteria~ journalling on the photo,so I have added a quote that the lovely Susan gave me that says "If we stick together we can do anything"
This is the sketch

Also over at the Boxx the lovely Kerri http://myscrapnaddiction.wordpress.com/ set a challenge to scrap a wedding pic, so two birds with one stone as the saying goes. And here is my take

Don't you just love your old wedding pics, I mean to say just look at that gorgeous big velvet blue bow tie! Thanks to Susan for the Tulle ribbon, rub on quote and the journey rub on, and the Love Makes the World go Round. The big white flower is from My2Angels  http://www.my2angels.net/,  the little cream flower is from Craftqueen http://www.craftqueen.com.au/, the PP I got from craftqueen also and is the Madeleine Range by Prima, I just love it and have used it heaps, it comes as an  A4 pad and has the most beautiful designs. And the beautiful twirly flower is from the lovely Wendy Mac http://wendymac123.blogspot.com/

A Box Full of Memories

Hi Lovely People,

Yesterday I sat down to go through the two boxes from Mum's glory box, I don't seem to be getting very far with it, it has been sitting in the office for weeks now. I start do a little and then don't get any further Plus I seem to be just packing it all back up in the box again Arrrrh
Well yesterday I sat down with determination to get is sorted but nope I sat there and cried as I sifted through all the bits and pieces. I found a old Keens Mustard tin which I thought said Genes coins, as Mum and Dad used to save their 5c pieces & loose change for my nephew and there is a gold coin rattling around in the tin. But on a closer look to me it said" Gene's Curl", so I looked more carefully and sure enough at the bottom of the tin was one beautiful blonde as could be, perfect curl, I will give it to my sister in law.Only a mother or grandma would save these little treasures.
Then I came across this School work of Chelsea's when she was little. I had forgotten all about it, but I must have given it to Mum, and as soon as I saw it I remember Chelsea doing this for homework. I just knew I had to scrap it so it wouldn't get lost. I didn't know how I would scrap it, so I just grabbed some PP and went for it. It sure turned out girly lol. Also the lace flower   I found out at Mums, and the little heart jewel (hope its not worth a fortune and Ive stuck it on a page, oh well what better place for it). Chelsea had to say what we said when we first saw her, and this is what we said ~ The doctor said "you have a daughter", Mum said "I don't believe it", the doctor said "Well Have a Look " then we saw our daughter & she was truly beautiful. Now if that isn't a treasure to find I don't know what is and Isn't Scrapbooking the best to preserve these treasures.

And yep I packed the rest all back up again and put back in the box Arrrhhh

Hope you are enjoying your day. Please let me know you called by

whats been happening?

Hi Fellow Bloggers,

I have been a bit slack with the blogging, not sure if I have anything interesting to tell most of the time, but anyhoo I'll do a post and try not to bore you all to tears!
I have a layout to share that I did for a Challenge at http://challengeheaven.ning.com/ the challenge was to do a layout of your girlfriends and NO PINK, so........I scrapped my two crazy scrapping friends Annette http://annetteedmonds.blogspot.com/ and Kim http://lifeisabalancingactx8.blogspot.com/ the pic was taken when we all went to Brisbane this year for the Expo. They are both super talented and gorgeous girls, so glad that scrapping brought them into my life :)

The little girl is from LRR http://lilredrocketbuttons.blogspot.com/ and the date stick is from My2Angelshttp://www.my2angels.net/ The Friends transparency was from a RAK

Oh and another layout that I have to share is a layout I did for a challenge at the Boxx http://www.theboxx.scrapboxx.com/ The challenge was to use Time anyway you chose in your layout and this is mine

So I used the beautiful Free PP in the current issue of Australian Scrapbook Ideas Mag, they are really, really gorgeous, and they just happen to have clocks on them (so I had to buy the mag , right?) it is also filled with great tips and techniques. and I used a verse from a song & used Crackle paint on some clock hands to frame the pic and made a tag and flower to add. The pic is with my Best friend of over 30 years once again at Brisbane at the expo.
and some closies

I am currently working on a layout for Once Upon A Sketch.

And Please pop over to Scrap that Song http://scrapthatsong.blogspot.com/ and join in our challenge for the month. We would really love to see your interpretations of the songs for the month. We have announced the winners for the last two moths and Mr Linky is now working correctly thanks to our Technical Guru ..... Miss Annette.

Today I went and watched my Granddaughter dancing in the eisteddfod, the guys went to the Local Footy and our guys won the Grand Final and I have my DD home for a few days and she is not well (and wants me to wait on her hand and foot) don't you love them ( and a little secret , yes we do)

PS Today we should spare a thought for all those that lost their lives and lost love ones in 9/11
Just no words to adequately say for the horror and sadness of that day.

Anyway lovelies have a wonderful week and lets all see if we can make this world a little better, even if its just a smile or kind word

Please let me know you dropped by and oh how do you like my new blog banner? Paris of course !

Cheers
