SHE LOVED BIRDS, FLOWERS AND A GOOD HAND OF CARDS ~ MEGS GARDEN

Hello fellow crafters,
I am here to share my DT layout for Megs Garden, using the new Range Shades of Green.

My Mum loved Birds, so when I saw this gorgeous paper I wanted to create a layout for her.

I used the key tag for my journalling , which I then tucked in the side of my layout.

The oval die I used to frame my photo is from Megs Garden , there are two dies in the pack, this is the larger frame, but the smaller one is also a good size. Meg has a huge range of new , fabulous dies in store at the moment.
Thank you for calling by, you can pop over to Megs Garden blog to find the links to the products I have used on my layout.

Lest We Forget ~ Artastic April Challenge

Hello to the few I have that follow.
Today I am sharing my layout for the April Challenge at Artastic
The prompt is From Karen Neals painting Poppy Fields

Being Anzac Day here tomorrow I wanted to create a layout with photo's from our trip in 2008 where we visited Villers ~ Bretonneux
The criteria is Black and white with one other colour

Lest We Forget

I have used really old Kaiser PP in Black and White and added touches of red, Of course the poppies .

I always feel emotional on Anzac Day especially when I see the old Diggers, sadly they are less and less now. So grateful to live in the country that I do.

thanks for calling by,
Love, Peace and Kindness (after all that is what our diggers fought for us to have )

Golden Dawn ~ Kraft Plus Challenge

Hello !
Today I would like to share my take on the challenge at Kraft Plus+
This is the current challenge and I think its a beauty

So this is my take

Something old ~ The photo which turned out to be a old post card. I scanned the back of the Post Card and placed it under the image.

Something new ~ Distress Oxide and the flower / vine stickers

Something Borrowed ~ The title from the Post Card for my layout

Something Blue ~ the Distress Oxide, the Tissue paper, blue lace and blue sequins.

This old image belonged to a old aunt of mine that died many years ago. I inherited the framed image and it was under the house for awhile. I rediscovered it whilst rummaging around under the house for something and I brought it inside. I have aways liked the image but the frame was falling apart and it never got hung up . Recently I decided to take it out of the frame and discovered it was actually a old postcard. I've scanned it and the back . It has copy right London on it and Printed in England.
Raphael Tuck and Sons
"Oilette De luxe" Postcard no 3800
Art Publishers to their Majesties the King and Queen.
After the original painting (and I can't see the rest as it has been damaged , but I am guessing it is very old.

So I decided to do a layout to preserve the old postcard.

That is a photo I took of it when it was in the frame with a photo of my Old Aunt Mary next to it.
Thank You for calling by if you are still with me, but I thought it would be nice to let you know a bit of the history behind the layout.

Remember ~ Archiscraps April Challenge

Hello and Happy Easter !
Everyone knows I do like vintage so the challenge at Archiscraps appealed to me as the criteria is to use lace this month.

This is the prompt
and this is my take on the challenge

This is my Great Grandmother on my Mothers side.

my neice moved back to Australia after many years living in the States and She gave me two HUGE boxes of scrapping supplies , the lovely gold leaf lace (which I just love ) and the cream lace were amongst the goodies . Actually just about everything besides the Pattern Paper  and satin seam binding were in the stash she gifted me.
I feel like I haven't done a vintage layout or used flowers for so long, so I really enjoyed creating the layout.
Thank You for calling by and I really appreciate any comments to brighten my day.
