And just like that half the year is over and it is the first day of winter. Have to say I am not a fan of winter.
With a new month brings a new challenge over at Archi-
Scraps

The criteria to use the colour palette and the option of using the tiles , mosaics .

Best Friends

I chose to use the the colour palette and the mosaic pattern, I also used the inspiration of the flowers going down the steps and added the vine chippy.For the mosaic pattern I used a mask and texture paste, I then coloured with water paints and gelato's and went around the shape with a charcoal pencil.
The flair and camera chippy is from StudioFourteen40 .

THOUGH SHE BE BUT LITTLE SHE IS FIERCE ~ WHITE WITH ONE CHALLENGE

Hello ! Gosh the end of another month and half the year is over ! I am sneaking in a layout for the challenge at white with 1

Tangerine Tango 

and this is my layout

Though she be but little she is fierce

When I came across the stamp with the quote , I straight away thought of my Mum, it sums Mum up perfectly.

This photo was taken on her 95th Birthday, Mum passed away 2 months later.

I always find it difficult being limited to one colour and I wasn't liking the layout , but I stuck with it and I think it is ok. 

All the chippies are from Imaginarium designs ( thank You  Lou) . The paper range is the new Kaisercraft Boho Dreams range.

THE WIND OF THE OLD DAYS ~ ANNA'S CRAFTCUPBOARD SKETCH CHALLENGE

Good afternoon ,
The weekend is nearly over sadly, but I hope you got to do something you enjoy. I have been getting a few layouts done before back to work tomorrow.
 I am sharing my layout for the sketch challenge over at Anna's Craft Cupboard. 

This is my take on the sketch

The wind of the old days

The photo is of my Grandfather on my Dad's side with my two cousins (his grand daughters) My Grandfather died the year before I was born and I really only have one photo of him , so I was pleased when a cousin sent me this one and I have been wanting to scrap it and I am happy with the outcome. Thank heavens for photographs, this is why they are so precious.

I have used and old Kaiser range, I think it might be "Timeless" & Kaiser dies. The love I used a negative from the Gold Glitter Kaiser paper and added the Love word die in black in the negative. Some Kaiser washi and some leftover kaiser pieces layered and inked. The two cards at the side of the photo are from lovely friends Jo and Lizzy ( thank you girls) Kaiser flowers and a Old Button and twine from my Mum's craft tins.

I HAD A DREAM SO BIG AND LOUD , I JUMPED SO HIGH I TOUCHED THE CLOUDS ~ CHALLENGE YOURSELF AND SCRAP IT WITH A SONG

Hello 
I hope your day has been a good one. I have had a lovely afternoon scrapping with friends and eating too much as well!
Today I would like to share a layout for the Challenge at Challenge yourself which this month is joining forces with Scrap it with a song
The challenge is inspiration from this moodboard

and to also choose inspiration from one of two song choices. 
I chose the words from "The Best day of my life " by American Authors . The words I chose from the song I wrote around the side of my layout and they are.....

I had a dream so big and loud, I jumped so high I touched the clouds

I guess I always had a dream of travelling , but couldn't believe it when I actually did . This is on a beautiful holiday at Navutu Fiji. A beautiful un touristy island and the most beautiful, happy people. I loved every moment of being there.

I went with the summery colours of the moodboard. I have to remember next time we go on a holiday to actually get in some photos instead of being the one to take the photos all the time. I was flat out finding a photo of me in it !

The flair and gold sparkly glasses are from StudioFourteen40.

AND I WILL DANCE WITH YOU IN VIENNA ~ SOUL SCRAPPERS CHALLENGE

Good Morning !

Today I would like to share my layout for the challenge over at Soul Scrappers set by Cheryl . The word prompt is Adventure.

This is a photo I took in Vienna last year. I have added the word Adventure above my photo.
I did have a quote all about Adventure to add, however I was listening to Leonard Cohen whilst creating this and the words "and I will dance with you in Vienna"  from his song "Take this Waltz "came on and then that HAD to be my quote.
The flair is from "StudioFourteen40"

I can't believe I have left so much white space ( I do sometimes) But I am usually one that keeps adding and can't walk away. However I didn't think this needed anything more, so I did walk away.

ALWAYS AND FOREVER ~ MEGS GARDEN ROSE QUARTZ RANGE

Good Evening,
Tonight I would like to share my DT work for Meg's Garden using the gorgeous Rose Quartz range of papers

It is a very soft, pretty range of Papers .

Always and Forever

I wanted to show that you could still use texture and paints ( I enjoy getting a little messy) without overpowering the Paper, which is a soft pink Candy stripe pattern.
Everything I have used on my page besides the mask , texture paste and water paints can be found at Megs Garden Store. 
The Papers in Meg's ranges comes with a 4 x 12" strip of matching PP, I have used this to make my flowers . The tutorial for the flowers can be found here

SOUL SCRAPPERS ~ NATIONAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY AND A PIRATES LIFE

Good Evening !
Over at Soul Scrappers we have some challenges in honour of National Scrapbooking Day. I thought I would share some here.
First challenge was to make a card using a doily, lace and flowers

I was a little Paris inspired :)

Next Challenge in honour of Mothers Day is to do a layout of a Mother and to use a Frame, flowers and ribbon on your layout.

This is a photo of my Mum at the back and her sister in the front. I will have to find out who the kidlets are 

The flair is StudioFourteen40 and Lizzy gave me the gold slide clip and the heart as well I think.
Next challenge is a tag and the criteria to have the work scrapbooking on it

I used words from a Leonard Cohen Song on my tag. And it ended up being the perfect embellishment on a layout in the previous post.
And I will share a layout for a Current Challenge ( not for the national Scrapbooking challenge)
And this challenge is all about Pirates Ahrrrrrrr me hearties.
Criteria  ~ Clouds , some sort of boat
Title ~ It's a Blank Life (fill in the blank)
One embellishment at least has to be Piratey example a treasure chest.

It's a Pirate Life

I was really happy to get another Photo for Jedd's Pirate Party album done (he was turning 5 , he is now 14 !, can't rush these things )
When my grand children were little , we always had family themed parties. So we have been Pirates, Fairies, Star Wars, Vampires, Super Hero's , cats, the list goes on. Now we just go out for a nice civilized dinner lol.

CAST A SPELL ~ ARTASTIC CHALLENGE

Hello, 

Gosh the 15th of the month already , which means it is the second reveal of the DT over at ARTastic.
Loved this challenge , the inspiration coming from this gorgeous work by John Maitland of seven girls running and the criteria ~ Girls only

To me it made me think of dancers and I also took the purple colours from the painting.

Cast a Spell

This is my Grand daughter playing the Evil Fairy in the end of year Dance Concert last year . I may seem bias, but I have to say she was amazing .
Thank you Lizzy for the gorgeous Dusty Attic Chippy. I painted the chippy with gold as you can see. ( I actually created this layout whilst Lizzy was visiting me and we were scrapping up a storm )
Beads and cobweb ribbon from Craftqueen and I have a feeling the black organza flowers were from my friend Jo some time ago.

This morning I got my lazy self up and went for a walk, so pretty here in Autumn

The weekend flies by so quickly, hope the coming week is a good one for you.

AND I WILL BURY MY SOUL IN A SCRAPBOOK ~ BERRY71BLEU CHALLENGE

Good Evening, 

I was looking for a challenge to inspire me and thought I would join in with the one at Berry71bleu with the lovely mood board this month

This is my take on the challenge. I took the inspiration from the colours, Browns/golds and crimsons. Also the old world feel to the mood board

And I will bury my soul in a Scrapbook

This is a photo of my Grandmother on my Mothers side "Ma" with one of my cousins (her Grand daughter).

 I had a lovely day today with my scrapbooking class and every now and then I go crazy and cook , (not that often, it is usually sandwiches) But today we had gem cakes as well :)

I inherited my Mum's Gem irons. Mum made the best Gem Cakes ever , so one day I thought I should have a go at cooking them. They are pretty good, but I don't think they will ever be as good as my Mum's.

EVERY SUMMER HAS A STORY

Tonight I would like to share with you my layout for a challenge I have set over at Soul Scrappers. Being a lover of quotes and verses that is my role at Soul Scrappers , to each month set a quote challenge. This month my challenge is about the seasons and here is my layout

Every Summer has a Story

I am not even sure where I read/heard this, but I thought it went perfectly with the layout of my Daughter in Law watching the family swim on a few days holiday together in January.

I have journalled on the tag and slipped beside the photo.

"Our story of the summer of Jan 2016 ~ We are happy to simply be spending time together , enjoying the sea and each others company after Belinda going through a horror year of  Breast Cancer, surgery and chemo. As a family we are closer than ever and enjoy every day moments and being together even more. Celebrating life and each other and coming out the other side stronger."

I have used a mask , texture paste and mists to create a sea background with splashes of white mists . Thread and netting and the flair is from StudioFourteen40.  I have also used the stamp of the two swimmers which is a fave of mine.

PIXELS AND PAPER MAY CHALLENGE~ CHERISH

Firstly I would like to wish all the Mum's , Grandma's and I women in general a Happy Mother's Day, I hope all have had a lovely day.
I thought I would like to join in with the challenge at Pixels and Paper this month, I was taken by the lovely colours and image and the criteria is flowers, which I am a bit partial to as well.

I wanted to create layers like a cake,so I have used a stencil and texture paste and then mists, water paints , stamping etc and added my flowers.

ANOTHER FREAKING SCRAPPY CHALLENGE ~ FAVOURITE PLACE AND SOUL SCRAPPERS

Hello ! I am popping in this evening to share the new challenge at Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge and also some projects for Soul Scrappers.
The Challenge this month at AFSC is to scrap your favourite place. Now I have several favourite places , so I had to narrow it down. Some of my favourite places are Paris ( I want to go back one day ), Little French villages, Tuscany, The little Island of Navutu in Fiji and the Greek Island of Patmos. Told you I have a lot of favourite places.
I ended up going with Tuscany ,as it is our dream when we retire to spend a few months there and whilst there we will visit France and Paris (you have to have dreams right ?)
So this is my layout of San Gimignano

When we were in Tuscany in 2008 , we were located near a little village called Pievescola and from here we could do day trips to Sienna , San Gimignano, Casole D' Elsa ,Volterra to name a few. All so Beautiful .

Also I would like to share some projects for Soul Scrappers, where they have oodles of challenges to choose from.
For this particular challenge you needed to use Washi tape and the letter W. My W is in My title . This is my Two beautiful Grandchildren on ANZAC Day

The heart , flower, and butterfly were sent to my by my lovely Irish Pen Friend . The die cut leaves were sent to me by a fellow Soul Scrapper Mary, thank you Mary.
Now a couple of cards for challenges at Soul Scrappers.

This one was to use Yellow and the letter Y on your project. I decided to make a card with the left overs from the previous layout. The ribbon was also from my Irish Pen friend ( she is a good pen friend :) 
Then a card, the theme Transport

I have had the vintage car stamp for a long time, so was glad to use it. I have used Prima packaging under the stamped image and the sentiment is a Kaiser stamp as is the clock stamps on my image .
Also at Soul Scrappers I was sent a envelope of goodies and they are to be used for a layout with the theme of clowns. A clown has to be on the layout. I chose to use a photo of my Daughter when she was a wee little one . We were even sent a balloon, I wasn't sure how I was going to use it, but managed to use it to place the word Fun on it. I made a shaker pocket for the sequins. My daughter is actually crying in the photo , she was not keen on the clowns at all
