Leaving on a jet plane...

I wished!  I could really do with going abroad right now - at least we are planning our trip to Australia later in the year so we have something to look forward to!

Anyhoo, there's a new showcase over at MilkCoffee Stamps and this week the theme is Beach, Water, Travelling - I went with the travelling theme with this DT make...

I love this beautiful girl!  This is Tiffany Goes On Holiday and I made this card for a work colleague who has got a job abroad.  Lucky girl!  I still need to sort out my CV and then New Zealand or Australia here I come!

Always in awe of you

There's a new challenge over at MilkCoffee Stamps and the theme is embossing, wet or dry.  Well I love to do my dry embossing so I just had to join in this week and make this card...

I love this beautiful digi called Madeline with her Chic Coat - this is how I image how I look when I go to work, but reality is very different!  I matched her up with My Minds Eye All Spice papers and to create some subtle depth and interest I used my Quickutz Retro Diamond embossing folder on the circle mat.  For the sentiment I used my Simon Says always Edge die and stamp set.

I have you can join in with us this week - you can get all the deets here!

Going my way?

Happy Saturday all!  And it looks like it is going to be hot and sunny here in the South East corner of the UK today - hoorah, summer has arrived!  But who knows how long for?!  Still, we are going to make the most of it by going to the coast with our two furballs, have a long walk and then sit at our favourite spot in the sun and have a BBQ - bliss!  I hope whatever you are doing makes you as happy as I will be today!

So today MilkCoffee Stamps are sponsoring Sketch Saturday and I was invited to be do guest spot for them so here is my card...

Isn't she beautiful?  This is Tiffany Goes On Holiday and I matched her up with Carta Bella Cool Summer papers and Pink Petticoat yellow gingham paper for the clouds.  I'm sure I like how this card turned up but she was sure cool to colour in!

Okay, I am off now, have a lovely day!

I wish I could do this...

I'm still not sure where our UK summer is and sure isn't warm enough to do this yet...

Come on sunshine, come on warmth - please visit us for goodness sakes!   Okay, so back to the card!  We are showcasing some summery inspiration over at MilkCoffee Stamps and the theme is summer so for my DT make I used Madeline: Summer Time - she's so beautiful and I love that hat!  I used Kristin Cronin-Barrow Pumpkins and Spice papers and created the sand with some left over cork.

Check out more summery inspiration over at the blog here and I'll catch you later on my blog rounds.  Thanks for visiting!

Coco is so sweet!

Happy Saturday everyone!  I hope you're enjoying the nice long weekend to celebrate Easter - we have lots of family events to attend so I'll be overweight and all talked out by the time I go back to work on Tuesday!

MilkCoffee Stamps is sponsoring this week's Sketch Saturday challenge so I've made my Guest Designer card for it using Coco With Her Bird...

I just love sweet Coco!  I matched her up with Echo Park papers and used my Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangles Mat die embossed with a Craft Concepts embossing folder.  I also used the MFT Die-Namics - Large Leaf Filled Flourish and topped off the daisies with Doodlebug gems.  I'm entering this card into the Simon Says Stamp anything goes challenge.

I hope you can play along for a chance to win some MCS digis!  Thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow with my Bellarific Babe card!

All you need is love...

...love is all you need!  In the words of The Beatles!  Bear with me  - there is a point to this!  Today over at MilkCoffee Stamps, we are showcasing digis with hearts - very appropriate with Valentine's Day around the corner!  So here is my DT make for it...

You see, I told you there was a point!  I just love this guy - he is from a set called Love Call and there's a cute girl version too...

Digital Stamp Love Call

I matched him up with My Minds Eye Fine & Dandy Boy papers and used the Lil' Inker Designs stitched flag die to pop the sentiment on. I am going to enter this into the Simon Says Stamp challenge for "what are you famous for?" (CAS cards!)

Check out the rest of the romantic DT cards over at the blog here and I'll be back later with my Make It Crafty spotlight post!

Let's brighten things up!

Hello everyone!  I'm here today with my MilkCoffee showcase post with the theme of "let's brighten things up!" - we thought it would be appropriate to cheer us up during winter or just a sun shiney card for those on the other side of the world enjoying their summer!  Here is my DT make...

I just love Lisbeth and Balloons - who couldn't smile when they see her happy face and sweet balloons?!   I matched her up with My Minds On The Sunny Side papers and some sweet gingham ribbon.

Check out more bright and cheery cards over at the MilkCoffee store blog and I'll  see you tomorrow with my Stamping Bella and Make It Crafty DT posts!

Brrr...

Hello everyone!  I'm here today with my MilkCoffee showcase post with the theme of "brrr" - well it is cold (unless of course you're on the other side of the world!!).  Here is my DT make...

I am going to give this to a friend who is going skiing for the very first time - this Skiing Girl Winter is very apt!  And I love the matching Winter Gloves that I matched up with a sentiment from the There She Goes Snowy Days and papers from the Echo Park Dear Santa collection.  I am entering this into the Simon Says Stamps challenge of anything goes.

And  while I'm here, I thought I'd share this card I forgot to share before Christmas...

I used the There She Goes Snowy Days set and and papers from the Echo Park Dear Santa collection again.  I am entering this card into the current There She Goes challenge for Last Minute Christmas.

Okay, I am off now - see you tomorrow with my Bellarific Babe post!

Gorgeous girl in a cheongsam digi stamp!

Morning everyone and a happy Monday to you!  MilkCoffee Stamps are sponsoring the new challenge over at Crafty Cardmakers and I was lucky enough to be their guest designer again!  You still have time to play the current challenge which is to take inspiration from the song lyrics of "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce.  You can check it out at over at Crafty Cardmakers.

From the lyrics, I took inspiration from the line "there never seems to be enough time To do the things you want to do".  I used to ride a bike a lot as a child and have always wanted to take it up again - but never seem to have the time to go and buy one!  So, I chose this MilkCoffee stamp called Lady with Antique Bicycle as it was such a perfect fit, especially as I am part Chinese too!

Saying that, I have never worn a cheongsam on a bike before, but I do own one similar to the one this lady is wearing!   I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Sweetest ThingHoney collection.  I am entering my card into the Simon Says Stamp challenge for what's your fave and this is my fave MilkCoffee stamp (at the moment!).

I hope you can join in with the challenge with a chance to win your own MilkCoffee digi stamps!  I'll be back tomorrow with my By Lori Designs DT post!

Elvis is in the house!

Today over at MilkCoffee Stamps we are showcasing some digis with the theme of "party" (very fitting for all those Christmas and New Year parties!) and here is my DT make using the very cool Rock and Roll Superstar...

OMG, this image just cracks me up!!  I think he's perfect to take the mickey out of any guy - they all think they're great performers!!  I used papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic Ginger pad.  I also used the MFT Die-Namics Stacking Stars die, Fishtail Flags stax and At The Movies die & stamp set. I used the fab Sweet Sunday Sketch SSSC173.

Check out more party party inspiration over at the blog here!  I'll see you tomorrow with my Bellarific Friday post!

Jolly holiday!

Today over at MilkCoffee Stamps we are showcasing some digis with the theme of "couples" - so any images with more than one character!  Here is my DT make using the very sweet Children playing with snowman in winter...

That poor little boy trying to hold that snowman up - his face really makes me giggle!  I matched them up with Carta Bella Merry and Bright papers and layered up some snowflakes die cut from glitter card.  I also added some Fluffy Stuff on their clothing but I think I put a bit too much on the little girl's hood - think it's suffocating her, lol!!

You can check out more DT inspiration over at the blog here.  I'll be back tomorrow with my Bellarific Friday DT post.  You still have time to join in this week's sketch - check out the detail here!
