You're a gem!

Hello everyone!  I hope you've had a lovely weekend.  I spent mine today for my belated birthday day out with my family at Leeds Castle, which funny enough is nowhere near Leeds.  Still, it's conveniently situated for us and they had a medieval thing going on so there was plenty to see, learn and eat!  A great day out.

I also managed to squeeze in some crafting time this evening and made a thank you card using the brilliant SugarPea Designs Go-pher It stamp set...

I used Echo Park Simple Life papers, layered some die cut grass and used my Darice weaved embossing folder.  I love the sentiments in this set - makes it so versatile.  Take a closer look...

Okay, I am off now - back to work tomorrow so an early start for me tomorrow unfortunately.  I'll be back on Tuesday though with my Whimsie Doodle DT make - see you then!

Have a whopper of a birthday

It's time for a new SugarPea Designs release and we have four days of sweet sneaks for you before they are available in store in the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe at 6:00 AM EST this Thursday!

Today we are showcasing the uber sweet set Great Catch from the Bean Stalk collection (my favourite SPD collection!) and here is my sneak peek take on it...

How fab is this raccoon?!  And I just love the matching sentiments in this set too.  Would you like to WIN this stamp set?! Hop along and visit with the SugarPeas and guests, leaving some comment love along the way! One lucky person will be randomly selected to win this stamp set!

I hope you love him as much as I do!  I'll be back tomorrow with another SugarPea Designs sweet sneaks and also a guest designer post for Whimsy Stamps - see you then!

Moving home card

Hi everyone!  Well, I am super excited today - it's going to be sunny all day!  And that means we're off to the coast for a long walk and then ending up in our secret place on the clifttop to have a BBQ, read our books and generally be happy in the sunshine!  It's predicted to be around 19 degs, so not really hot but it's the best we can expect here in the UK for Spring!

So, before I go I wanted to share my Lili of the Valley DT card for this week...

I actually started making this last Saturday when I was demo'ing at the Lili of the Valley 10th birthday party but I never got to finish it because I was chatting so much with all of the lovely visitors!  This super cute stamp is called Moving Day and I also used Always and Forever papers and a sentiment from the Handwritten Phrases set.  I used my Darice checkered embossing folder as I thought it would match up with the sofa nicely.

Okay, off to pack the picnic bag!  Have a wonderful day y'all!

Have a rice day

We're shaking things up a bit over at SugarPea Designs and adding a monthly sketch challenge every second Monday of the month.  I know many of you like to use sketches and the ones Wendy has created are so cool that I'm sure you'll be inspired by them!

And the great thing is that SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required for our sketch challenges. There will be a $5 gift certificate up for grabs and the winner will be randomly chosen and announced on Sunday, April 13th.

Without further ado, here is my DT make using it...

Didn't I say it was a cool sketch?!  I loved using it and I'm not normally a sketch lover.  I used my favourite Rice Rice Baby set along with some kraft cardstock run through my Darice embossing folder.  I think this would be great for a guy of any age.  I might do a pink version for my sushi lovin' girl friend!

I don't enter challenges usually but I am going to enter this into Make It Monday - it's their last one and I'm very sad because I was on the original team and Michelle, the owner, has made it such an incredible success.

Check out the blog here for more sketch inspiration and get all the deets on how to win!

Ginger fun!

Hi everyone! There are NEW images in the Whimsie Doodles Store today and the lovely Melyssa has given us another fabulous set of images to play with... some Easter themed cuties and a little fella humor, too!  So, here is my Doodlelicious Diva make using Feeling Lucky...

OMG, how cute is this little guy?!!  I think he'd also be fab for a good luck or St Patrick's Day card.  I used some papers from the My Minds Eye Alphabet Soup collection and used my Darice honeycomb embossing folder.

Check out the rest of the gorgeous Doodlelicious Diva makes over at the blog here and you can buy the new goodies in the store here later today!

I'll be back later with my SugarPea Designs new release sweet sneak!

There She Goes Give Thanks Blog Hop Challenge!

It's day 2 of  the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenges to showcase more of the October new release!  Today we are showing you the new Give Thanks stamp set by our sweet illustrator Chaitali...

Here is my Trendsetter make using this beautiful set...

I love this set - so grown up compared to the cuties I usually design with!  I simply stamped the leaf stamp using Versamark Brilliance ink for a soft sheen and my Darice embossing folder for texture.

Thanks for visiting and I'll be back tomorrow with day 3 of the There She Goes October release - see ya then!

Did you hear the news?

What horrible weather we had today!  And we had to drive nearly 4 hours on the motorway on it - a bit scary!  Glad we are now snug and warm at home with a bottle of wine chilling as I *speak*!  I hope the weather is better where you are!

Anyhoo, here I am with my Bellarific Babe card...

I can't stop using this Uptown Girl!  This is classy Audrey Loves Her Makeup.  I matched her up with My Minds Eye papers, my Darice embossing folder and My Favorite Things skyline die.

I'm off to finish my weekend - see you soon!

There She Goes No Tricks Only Treats Blog Hop Challenge

It's day two of  the There She Goes Blog Hop Challenges to show off all of the September new release!  Today we are showcasing a new Whimsie Doodle set called No Tricks Only Treats and it's a brilliant set!

Here is my Trendsetter card...

Illustrator Melyssa is so brilliant at creating those interesting faces - I love his quizzical look!  I didn't think he needed much - just an embossed background and a touch of red!

I hope you love this set as much as I do!  I'll be back tomorrow with day three of the new release!

Bake me a cake!

Did you see the new Stamping Bella release yesterday?  The new stamps are so much fun and I know they are going to go like hot cakes!  Here is my Bellarific Babe card using one of Stamping Bella's Uptown Girls newbies called Chanel The Chef...

Lovin' that hat!  I think I should have had it white like proper chef hats but I couldn't resist having it coordinate with her outfit!  I used Echo Park papers and my Darice chevron embossing folder.  Pretty simple - perhaps a bit too simple, it looks like I haven't really put much effort in it!  I tried embellishing it with buttons and flowers but I just didn't like it - so it will have to stay like this!

You can check out all of the new release in the shop here!

I wish I was going away on holiday right now!

I'm planning our Australia trip in December and I'm getting soooo excited!  So I was in the mood for creating a travel themed card so here is my Bellarific Babe make for this week...

I love Vienna on her Vespa! I used My Minds Eye Good Day Sunshine papers and my Darice chevron embossing folder.  I love the matching sentiment that comes with the stamps too!

Okay, I am off now but I will be back later with my TSG Trendsetter post!  See you later on my blog rounds!

Hug that heart!

There's a new There She Goes challenge starting today and this week we have a photo to inspire you.  Here is my Trendsetter take on it...

I just had to use one of my all time TSG favourites called Puppy Love.  I kept the design very simple and used some sweet Bella Blvd All American papers and my Darice chevron embossing folder.

Check out more fab Trendsetter inspiration over at the blog here!
