One in a minion

I'm here today to share my DT inspiration for Alicia Bel this week and I chose Minion Girl...

I actually made this for my niece - she loves Despicable Me almost as much as me!  Alicia's take on it is so cool - I love her little outfit  with a touch of sexy!  I used Doodlebug polka dot paper, a Paper Smooches border die and Memory Box and My Favorite Things alpha dies.

You can see more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  That is it from me today - see you again soon!

You're sweet!

There's a new challenge over at the Alicia Bel blog today and the theme is Candy Treats.  Perfect to get those Easter cards done for next month, but I actually went for a birthday card instead using the very cute Gretel...

Ack!  She is so so adorable!  I love her little pigtails!  I matched her up with NitWit Collection papers called One Birdie Lane and the border and speech bubble borders are Lawn Fawn.  And do you like the sentiment?  Great font, I think - it's from the SugarPea Designs Classroom Cupids stamp set.

You can get more Candy Treat inspiration over at the Alicia Bel blog.  Thanks for visiting and I'll see you again soon - ta ta for now!

Alical Bel inspiration time!

(Please scroll down for my very last La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

The Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous digi stamps available in the store.  I decided to use the fabulously fun Super Chica...

We all know a Super Chica, don't we?!  I love this image and thought she'd be perfect for a girlfriend achieving just like Superwoman would!I used My Favorite Things sun ray die and alpha dies and I hand cut the yellow "pow" piece (I have no idea what to call it, lol!).

I got out my Promarkers to colour this lady in so I could enter it into this week's Passion For Promarkers challenge and I chose S for Super!

You can see more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  That really is it from me today - see you again soon!

Alicia Bel new release

The Alicia Bel new releases for this month is now available in store and the design team are showcasing them over at the blog today.  I decided to use the beautiful Elegant Bride...

A very girlie card for me!  This lady is so beautiful.  I coloured her with my new Polochromos pencils and added some Glamour Dust on the roses, her tiara and earrings.  The papers are called Dearly Beloved by NitWit Collections and the sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp.  I also used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside border die to create the curved border.

Check out the rest of the design team's creations over at the blog here.  I will be back soon - enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Sexy card!

It's time for the new Alicia Bel monthly challenge and the theme is Love is in the Air.  Here's my DT take on it...

I thought I'd go for a sexy Valentine card using the gorgeous Sexy Cabaret image.  The sentiment is from an old My Favorite Things stamp set (no longer available) and the hearts die cuts using SugarPea Designs dies.  Looking at the photo, I think I glued the heart border on a bit wonky - oops!

You can see what the rest of the design team did with the theme over at the blog here.  I'm off now - thanks for visiting and I'll see you later on my blog rounds - bye for now!

Wish I was an elf

A couple of my all time favourite books are the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings so you can imagine how thrilled I've been that they've been made into films.  Normally books don't translate well into film but I think that Peter Jackson has done a fantastic job.

But anyway, I waffle.  I'm actually here today to share my DT inspiration for Alicia Bel this week and I chose Elfa Del Bosque which translates to Forest Elf...

So now you can see why I was going on about Tolkien books!  So I created a window and used a (discontinued) Stampin' Up embossing folder and a Memory Box leaf die to create this.  The sentiment is from the SugarPea Designs Pure Magic stamp set.  Not much else to say about it - pretty simple!

Check out the rest of the design team's inspirational projects over at the blog here.  Thanks for visiting me - I'll see you later on my blog rounds.  Ta ta!

Happy unbirthday to you!

The Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous goodies available in the store.  I decided to use the gorgeous Alicia y El Pastel...

The name translates to Alice and Cake and I thought I'd put an appropriate Alice in Wonderland quote for the sentiment!  The yellow paper is by Avery Elle.  I used a My Favorite Things polka dot background die with a piece of blue cardstock stuck behind it for some contrast and the flower is made with a La-La Land Crafts flower die.  The gorgeous gem in the middle is a Doodlebug jewel.

You can see more gorgeous inspiration over at the blog here.  That is it from me today - see you again soon!

Oh la la!

It's time for the new Alicia Bel monthly challenge and this time we had a sketch to follow.  Here's my DT take on it...

Isn't she gorgeous?  She's called Sally Volteretas.  I'm not sure why she's called that but I think she's just like Liza Minelli's character Sally Bowles from the fantastic film Cabaret.  I'm not sure whether to give this away as a Valentine's card or for a sexy girlfriend's birthday!

Check out what the rest of the design team did with the sketch over at the blog here.  I'll see you later on my blog rounds - see you then!

I wish I could be 007!

Happy Boxing Day everyone!  Did you get everything you wanted?  Steve bought me a whole set of 120 Polychromos pencils - woo hoo!  I can't wait to use them!  I also got a Tassimo coffee machine but the wally forgot to buy any coffee to go with it so I'll have to see if any shops are open today to get some as I can't wait to try it out!  I got lots of other goodies too - I'm such a lucky girl to have such a thoughtful family!

I'm just quickly popping in with my Alicia Bel's DT card for inspiration week!  Here is my card using the sexy 007...

I really love how this card turned out!  I found an image for the Bond background and simply added the sentiment from my PC.  Inside the card says "It's time to party!" so I think this would be great for a birthday card.  I used Glamour Dust on her stress, globes and earrings.  I love using this glitter as it's so fine that it still shows through the shading I did with my Copics on her dress.  Take a closer look...

So check out the rest of the gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here.

I'm not sure when I'll be back posting here this week - depends how much crafting time I get!  I hope you all have a lovely rest of your Christmas holiday and I'll see you again soon - bye for now!

Alicia Bel inspiration time!

(Please scroll down for my La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

Today the Alicia Bel design team is giving you some inspiration from the fabulous goodies available in the store.  I decided to use this gorgeous girl Frog Kisser...

Isn't she beautiful?  And this is the first time I've attempted a dark skin tone using Copic E31, E33 and E35.  I'm going to try an Asian/Chinese skin tone soon!  I also added Glamour Dust to her tiara although you can't see it very well in the photo - it's blinging!  I popped the white frame on foam pads for depth to frame her.

I used Lili of the Valley Shabby Shack paper, a Memory Box flourish die, Whiff of Joy speech bubble die and La-La Land Crafts Lotus Flower die, topped off with a Doodlebug glittered brad.

Check out some more inspiration over at the blog here - you won't be disappointed!  That really is it from me today - honestly!

Check out my take using the freebie called Elf with Gifts...

Isn't he adorable?!  And I love that cheeky wink!  I used Carta Bella's It's a Celebration paper and used some simple twine to finish it off.  The sentiment is made with American Crafts rub-on alphas.

Check out what the rest of the design team has done with this sweet guy over at the blog here!  And if you do get to use him, don't forget to enter him into this month's challenge of anything goes for a chance to win an Alicia Bel digi of your choice!

Alicia Bel's very first challenge!

(Please scroll down for my SugarPea Designs
and La-La Land Crafts DT posts!)

It's the start of the Alicia Bel challenges and to make it as easy peasy as possible for you, the theme is ANYTHING GOES!  So no excuse not to join in, lol!  Here is my DT using the cool Melanie At The Gym...

Isn't she cool?  And I loved colouring her in too.  I thought this would be a good encouragement card for my friend who is on a mission to lose a lot of weight and she's doing really well so far.

I think the papers are by Digital Design Essentials and I used my Craft Concepts star embossing folder, topped off with a Lil' Inker Designs die cut heart with a lickle ickle button!

I hope you can join in with our challenge for a chance to win an Alicia Bel digi.  You can get all the deets and more gorgeous DT inspiration over at the blog here.

Thanks for visiting and I'll see you on my blog rounds later today - ttfn!

My exciting news!

(Please scroll down for my La-La Land Crafts DT post!)

For some time I've been wanting to move away from my very cutesy cards and create more fun cards so when I saw that Alicia Bel was putting together a design team, I applied straight away.  I really love her designs - fun and sexy (and still a little cute!).  Today the new design team is being announced over at the blog and I'm pleased to say I made the grade!

The DT are showing off their skills using the theme of Halloween so here is my DT make using the sexy but sweet Lily Monster...

See what I mean?  Fun and sexy!  And she is only 1 Euro!  I know Lily Munster has a streak of white in her hair and her dress is actually white but I didn't know that until after I researched it after I coloured her in!  Ho hum!

I used Authentique papers, a La-La Land Bat die and the sentiment is from an old There She Goes set.  You can't see from the photo but the black circle is actually embossed with clouds - it looks really good, honest!  I'm going to enter this card into the Copic Markers Spain challenge with the theme of....Halloween of course!

If you're not familiar with Alicia Bel yet, you should go check out her store and check this section of freebies out - you're welcome!

I hope you're going to enjoy seeing my designs using these digis.  We're going to have a monthly challenge, lots of inspiration and regular freebies to share with you too!

Now you need to go and check out the rest of the new gorgeous design team designs over at the blog here.  I'll be back this weekend with my SugarPea Designs DT post - see you then!
