Another 2013 finish

Good Tidings and Great Joy
Plum Street Samplers - Just Cross Stitch Ornaments December 2012
c. 2012
2/25/2013 - 9/28/2013

Here's one more finish for 2013 that I didn't get posted for the year.  This is done on a blue/green piece of hardanger that was in my stash from the 70's!  I was saving it for the perfect design!!  LOL

I'm pretty sure I have at least two more finishes that I need to "find", take the pictures and post!  They are packed in my sewing room "somewhere"!

Have been busy the past weeks working on the house, putting up some curtains, getting the pictures hung, going on a few day trips, and getting ready for daughter and son-in-law's visit this past weekend.  They were only able to stay 2 nights, but we had a great time!  Now that we are closer, we'll see them a little more often, I hope.

I haven't done any stitching on cross stitch lately, as I have been somewhat obsessed with knitting socks.  I'm on my 3rd pair.  When this pair is complete that will be it for a while as my yarn stash will be used up!!  Even though no x's have been made, I've still been stitching (knitting) from stash, so I'm still on track!

Welcome to my new followers and thanks for stopping by!

TUSAL 11/2013 and a few more finishes

Here are my ORT's since last time, and posted on the right day, I might add!!

 Autumn Leaves
Nancy's Needle

Adam and Eve
Little House Needleworks

I did not stitch the words Adam and Eve as it is obvious to me who it is!  Also, I did not stitch the birds.  I thought they looked a little bit too big.  I'm pleased with the way it looks, though.

Here is my PSS Mary's Sampler II through part V.  I hope to find a few minutes later tonight to get part VI stitched.  It is so sweet! (And, I'm amazed that I have actually been able to keep up...)

If all goes well, we will be moving from Tulsa in about 2 weeks.  While on vacation earlier this year we found a house and bought it.  We put our house up for sale when we returned and have finally sold it.  I had not mentioned earlier because I didn't know how long it might take to sell.  I just hope all goes well and that our buyers get their loan and/or don't back out.  We are in the process of packing and trying to get everything done.  It's been crazy here all summer because we were always on edge waiting for the realtor to call about a showing.  We had lots.  I didn't feel like getting any really big projects out and then having to put everything up at a moments notice.  I'm just ready to try to get back to normal, and hopefully we will be able to soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloweenies!

Again, it's been too long!  And, everytime I visit Blogger, something has changed, so I have to "re-learn" before posting!

I recently stitched this adorable design for my daughter and SIL in CA and finished it into a pillow, complete with a jack-o-lantern button.  It turned out so cute if I do say so myself!!   They have 2 little weenies, Chloe and Roxie.  It made it to CA yesterday, so I can safely post a pic.

Still Waters is Finished

Still Waters
Plum Street Samplers
c. 2007
4/15/2010 - 4/1/2011

This is a lovely design by Paulette Stewart. This was on my wish list and my DD gave it to me for Christmas a few years ago. I loved every stitch!

I've been absent from blogland for quite a while. You know how it is...life happens! Let's see...there were computer and health issues, and other projects took up my time. I didn't get around to reading and commenting on too many of your blogs. I just didn't have the energy to do much more than the bare minimum, day to day, for a while. But, now I'm feeling better, and am trying to get caught up on things that fell by the wayside for several months, including catching up with my blog reader. I did get some stitching done and finished up some old WIP's.

I've begun my family research once again, and it's an ongoing project. I wish I had gotten information from family while I still could.

I had an interesting day on Mother's Day. My DH had been looking at pickup trucks here and just couldn't find the color that he wanted, so he decided he wanted to go to Oklahoma City to look. He likes to walk the car lots on Sunday without the sales people, and then go back to buy. So, on Mother's Day we drove down to see what they had. I insisted that we take a change of clothes just in case. It would be senseless to go home and then make another trip. So, we went early in the day to beat the heat, and there were already lots of others walking around on the lot. I could tell there was someone walking behind me rather close, and said "Happy Mother's Day"! I turned around, and it was DD all the way from CA!! What a surprise! She was to be in OKC for the weekend for a friend's shower, and she and DH planned the whole thing without me having a clue. We had a wonderful day visiting for a little while! (And, no, we didn't get a truck! That whole thing was just to throw me off!)

Well, it's time for starting dinner. Hope this long post didn't bore you.

Still Waters and 2 new starts

I've been stitching on Still Waters by Plum Street Samplers this week. I started this back in April of last year, and of course it was put aside for something else! There isn't too much to do, now. The grass along the lower edge will be filled in and this will be easy to stitch during TV time. Then, the rest of the words and a bit hear and there. I love it and really do want to get finished!

Here is my new start. Am I crazy or what!!?# I only have a few stitches done in the grid, so no pic on the linen, but here is what it will look like many moons from now! I just love Darlene's samplers, and Robertson is no exception.

I started this during Thursday night stitch group. It's small and very portable and Thurs nights will be a good time for ornament stitching.

Carolyn at Just One More Stitch is having a giveaway, so go visit her blog to enter.

I have some lentil soup simmering in the crock pot for dinner, so I think I'll try to get some stitching in until then.

Thanks for all the great comments on my Pomegranate sampler finish.
