Hello friends!  I've got a clean and simple card to share today inspired by the Christmas colors over at

BBTB2 ... Coffee Time

Happy Tuesday!  The card I'm sharing is for this week's Bitten by the Bug challenge.  This week's theme is Coffee Creations.

It's so difficult to take a good picture using gold card stock.  It's very shiny in person.  This card is for my best friend, who loves pink/gold color combo, and coffee, of course!.

Supplies:

Paper: All from Recollections (Michaels)
Stamp: Noel Christmas Ornaments (JustRiteStampers)
Ink: Black Licorice (My Favorite Things)

Gold foil sheet is very hard to photograph (at least for me).  It looks so much lighter in person.

 Supplies:

Paper: All from Recollections (Michaels)
Accessories: Cricut Explore Air 2, SVG file: Bird on Wreath (Miss Kate Cuttables), Plantin Schoolbook Cartridge (Cricut)

SIP.. Anything But a Card!

Hi everyone,

The challenge this week at SIP is to create anything but a card:

I created 2 wine tags; one for Christmas and one for Thanksgiving.  Since I don't have a wine tag die, I created my own template. I used some old Martha Stewart stickers that I bought at Michael's in clearance several years ago.  The sentiment was computer generated.

For my Thanksgiving tag, I used a retired Stampin Up stamp set for the sentiment (which I can't remember the name of it).  For the Fall leaves, I used Creative Memories leaf cutter paper punch (one of my favorites - I've had it for about 20 years!).

Enjoy your weekend,

FMS167 & CMCC51... Hanging Mittens

Hi everyone,

I am playing along today with this week's Freshly Made Sketches.  The colors I chose are this week's Colour Me combo.

My card:

I began with Whisper White card base, and the layers are Always Artichoke and White card stock.  Patterned paper are from my stash - always good to keep those little scraps of paper from other projects.  I created a wintery scene by hanging mittens over some branches, and added fun flock under the mittens to simulate snow.  It's a little bit hard to see on the picture though.  The die cut branches were created with the Memory Box Woodland Branch.  I printed off the digital images onto white cardstock, fussy cut and then colored them with Copic markers.  (sorry, I don't remember where I purchased the digi stamp).

CMCC... Christmas Card

Hi Friends,

**Please note that I did not turn on Word Verification.  For some odd reason, it will pop up when you leave a comment.  Some of my other blog friends have encountered the same problem**

Last week. I purchased some new stamps from my local craft store, and I just had to break them in.  I decided to create a card using the new palette from Colour Me Challenge - Night of Navy and Silver.  Such an elegant combo!

My card:

The card base is Whisper White, and the layers are Night of Navy and pretty patterned paper from DCWV The Twinkle Glints Paper Stack.  Not sure if you can see it, but the diagonal lines have a shiny silver to it.  My new stamp is from Hero Arts called Joy Burst, and was heat embossed in silver embossing powder.  I really like how the image stands out.  I hope you like it.

Merry Monday... Black/Gold/Silver Card

Happy Tuesday,

Today's card was created for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.

My card:

I began with a Whisper White card base.  I then embossed another piece of white card stock using the Couture Creations Baubles embossing folder.  The gold and silver ornaments were embossed with the SU! Lacy Brocade folder, then die-cut using circle spellbinders.  The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiments, and was stamped in Basic Black ink.  A trio of coordinating bows on the ornaments finish off the details.

Exploring Cricut and More...Christmas Card

Hey Everyone,

Today I am popping in with a quick share; a card I made for this week's Exploring Cricut and More.
They are having a Christmas in July Blog Hop!

My card has a Whisper White card base, followed by red card stock.  I cut the Christmas trees at 2.5" using the Joys of the Season cartridge, and the cute reindeer at 1.5" using Create a Critter cartridge.  I then used some fun flock to add fluffy snow to the edges of the slope (sorry, it's hard to see).  I stamped the holiday sentiment from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiment in Basic Black ink.  Blue rhinestones and red Baker's Twine finish off the details.

The Paper Players: White on White & 52CCT

Happy Sunday!

I took some time out of my Sunday afternoon to make a card.  The Paper Players Challenge has an elegant color theme - White on White or Vanilla, plus a neutral or metallic sentiment:

Over at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown Challenge, we were asked to choose any past 2013 Challenge.  I chose Theme #1: Christmas Flowers:

My card:

My card literally took about 15 minutes.  I wish all of my cards were that quick to put together!  The card base is Whisper White, with a second layer embossed with the Holly folder.  This folder is one of my favorites for Christmas cards.  I used more Whisper White to die-cut the beautiful poinsettia using the Spellbinders Layered Poinsettia.  The sentiment is from Penny Black Christmas Cheer, and was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia.  I thought it was the perfect sentiment for an all-white Christmas card.  A simple rhinestone in the middle of the poinsettia finishes off the details.

Merry Monday #87

Hi Everyone,

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for this week's Merry Monday Challenge.  We were asked to create a card with a mitten(s).

My card:

For my card, I wanted to create a snowy scene, keeping it soft and on the clean side.  I began with Whisper White card stock, and a second layer of the same.  The branch was die-cut with the Memory Box Woodland Branch, and the tree trunk was hand drawn.  I printed the mittens on X-Press It Blended Card and colored them with Copic markers.  I thought it would be fun to hang the mittens from one of the branches, so with some black floss, I looped it over and adhered it to the mittens.  Using Memento Summer Sky ink, I created snowy slopes.  To complete the winter scene, I sprinkled some fuzzy flock on the branches and on the ground.

Here is a close-up:

The sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping Elegant Christmas Sentiments, and was stamped in Memento Tuxedo ink.

I am also adding my card to the following challenges:

Inspired by Stamping - December Customer Gallery Contest
CAS On Sunday  - Christmas!
Simon Says... - Let it Snow
CAS-ual Fridays - Let it Snow
