Poquito a poco voy terminando cositas... aquí está el mes de mayo del SAL de Bent Creek que tenía empezado desde junio y no pude acabar hasta ayer. ¡Ahora sólo llevo 3 meses de retraso!!!!! jeje....

Little by little I am finishing up things... here you can see May's piece of my Bent Creek's SAL. I started it back in may, but could not finish it till yesterday. Now I am just 3 months late!!! hehe

April Glooms

Por fin voy avanzando con algo... no sé ni por qué labor empezar pero van saliendo cositas... Aquí está el mes de abril del Sal de Bent Creek del Foro de Punto de Cruz.

I am finally finishing up some things... I do not know which work to do but things are coming out... Here, the month of April of the Bent Creek Sal at the Foro de Punto de Cruz.

Embroidery Guild

Aquí teneis el primer objetivo del SAL Embroidery Guild de Little House Needleworks que estamos haciendo con Mercedes de meneuse. Me ha encantado trabajar con los hilos matizados, aunque es más dificil ir haciendo el dibujo para que el cambio de color no se note tanto.

Here you have the first objective of the SAL Embroidery Guild from Little House Needleworks that we are stitching together with Mercedes as meneuse. I loved working with the variegated floss, though it is more difficult to do the graphic so that the change of colour is not to strong.

Os cuento que casi me ha costado el doble de tiempo de hacerlo porque tenia hecho todo el marco cuando me puse a hacer las letras y descubri que no me cuadraban bien... y era porque al subir y al bajar me habia olvidado 2 crucecitas de cada lado y no se notaba... ¡hasta que vi que no me cabian las letras de debajo!!! Asi que tuve que deshacer casi todo el marco hasta el error... pffff. En cualquier caso estoy encantada con el resultado y deseando seguir... pero ahora pararé y me pondré con otros SALs... (que si no sólo llevo este al día!).

Let me tell you that I took almost double time to do it because I had all the frame finished when I started the letters and discovered that they did no fit... and it was because when going up and done in the frame I missed 2 crosses in each side and you would not notice it... until I had to fit all the letters below!!! So I had to undo almost all the fram until the mistake... pffff. In any case I am very happy with the outcome and willing to continue... but I will stop now and start with other SALs... (this cannot be the online one I am within deadlines!)

La tela es un Cashel Raw Linen 28ct de Zweigart, y los hilos los recomendados en el esquema (DMC y Crescent Colours).

Fabric is a Cashel Raw Linen 28ct by Zweigart, and floss, the ones recommended in the graphic (DMC and Crescent Colours).

Quiero aprovechar la oportunidad tambien de comentaros que nuestra meneuse organiza otro SAL rápido de otro gráfico de Little House Needleworks para el mes de Junio. Las condiciones para apuntarse estan aquí. Yo por ahora no me apunté... va a ser demasiado.

Also I want to tell you that our meneuse is organizing another fast SAL from another graphic by Little House Needleworks for the month of June. The conditions to enlist are here. I did not enlist yet... it is going to be too much.

Castles in the Air

Como no me llegaba con todo a lo que estoy apuntada hace unos días me llegó el material para empezar un nuevo SAL Misterio que organiza Papillon Creations y que va a durar 2 años.

It was not enough with all the SALs I am in, and few days ago I received the material to start a new Mistery SAL organized by Papillon Creations that will last 2 years

Lo vi en el blog de María, Pequeños Tesoros a Punto de Cruz, y me pudo la curiosidad. ¿Sería yo capaz de hacer tantos puntos especiales?... Pues si no lo intento nunca lo sabré, me dije... Así que me apunté.

I saw it in María's blog, Pequeños Tesoros a Punto de Cruz, and curiosity was stronger. Would I be able to do so many specialty stitches?... Well, if I did not try, I will never know, I said to myself... So, I enlisted.

Os enseño aquí la tela, un Belfast Country Cream 32ct, y los hilos, todos de DMC (algunos los escoge la diseñadora y otros de elección propia), aunque me falta el plateado que no lo tenía cuando saqué la foto. ¡¡¡¡Y lo que veis en el papel es "sólo" el primer objetivo!!!!

I am showing you here the fabric, Belfast Country Cream 32ct, and the floss, all DMC (some are chosen by the designer and other are free choice), though I am missing the silver thread, that I did not have when I took the picture. And what you see in the paper is "just" the first objective!!!!

En unos días os mostraré mis avances... ya que como dicen... "en casa de herrero, cuchillo de palo", y despues de una semana autotratandome el resfriado como buena médico de familia que no quiere molestar a su médico de cabecera, he tenido finalmente que ir a su consulta y el resultado es una bronquitis que me impide salir de casa unos días. Cama, leche caliente, antibioticos... y si puedo a ratitos algo de bordado... (aunque no aguanto mucho, me duele la cabeza de toser... cof, cof...).

In a few days I will show you my progress... because as they say "the taylor's wife is the worst clad", and after a whole week self-treating my cold as a good family doctor who does not want to give her own family doctor work, I finally had to go to the clinic to be visited, and the result is that I have a bronchitis that won´t let me leave the house for a few days. Bed, hot milk, antibiotics... and if I can, every now and then, some stitching... (though I can´t do for too long, I have headache of coughing... cof, cof...).

Y aquí en chiquito... una foto de las telitas lilas, que cuando me cure y pueda salir de casa, saldrán para su destino, algunas acompañadas tambien de un bloque del intercambio 15x15 de Nuria Madurell.

And here in the smaller picture... a picture of the lila fabrics, that when I am ready and can leave the house, will be sent to their destinations, some of them accompanied by a block for the 15x15 exchange by Nuria Madurell.

SAL Embroidery Guild

Me han llegado por fin los materiales para empezar el SAL de Little House Needleworks "Embroidery Guild", justo a tiempo, pues empezamos el dia 15 de abril. Es la primera vez que voy a usar hilos especiales, matizados, no se como resultará. Y ya se que me diréis que como se me ocurre meterme en más "fregaos" cuando tengo tantas cosas atrasadas pero... ay, que vicio este...


I have finally received the materials needed to start the SAL from Little House Needleworks "Embroidery Guild", just in time, since we start on april the 15th. It is the first time that I am using special thread, I hope it will turn out good. And I know, you will tell me that I am crazy starting new things when I have so many delayed objectives but... I just can't help it!

Segunda entrega del SAL de Bent Creek... February Glows... Me faltan los botones que lleva el corazón, que se los pondré al final. Sigo llegando fuera de plazo pero cada vez estoy más cerca de terminarlo a tiempo, a ver si para el mes de marzo... :)

Second objective of the Bent Creek SAL... February Glows... I still have to put the buttons in the heart, but I will do that at the end. I am still finishing it over deadline, but each time closer to making it in time, let´s see what happens in march... ;)

Tea Room y Orquídeas

Segundo objetivo del SAL The Tea Room, organizado por Trelly... A que esta quedando precioso... a mi me gusta cada dia más... Hoy como al fin ha salido el sol os pongo una foto sacada con luz natural para que veais el color real del lino, que le queda perfecto.

Second part of the SAL The Tea Room, organised by Trelly... Isn´t it beautiful?.... I like it more every day... Today, since we finally have a bright sun on the sky I show you a picture taken with daylight, so that you can see the real colour of the linnen, that is just perfect.

Y qué me decís de mis orquídeas... ¡por fin han florecido las primeras! Están tan bonitas como cuando las compré el año pasado... no creí que fueran a salirle tantas flores... Ay, me tienen enamorada.

And what about my orquids... the first ones finally bloomed! They look so pretty as last year when I bought them... I never thought they would have so many flowers... ay, I am completely in love.

Ahora solo queda decidir que acabado le doy, pero creo que voy a esperar a ver si Didi, Estrella y Ara nos sorprenden con los "esos y aquellos" de los que tanto hablan, no sea que luego me arrepienta... :)))))))))

At last I finished it!
Now I must only decide the way I end it, but I think I am going to wait and see if Didi, Estrella and Ara surprise us with the "these and those" that they always mention, just in case I have to regret it... :)))))))))))

Y ahora a seguir bordando... que me queda terminar el Neighborhood Row, hacer el siguiente gatito de los Astrocats, el mes de febrero del Bent Creek, empezar el SAL de Las locas de la mesa camilla, hacer el bloque de Penélope de An Angel Story, la cestita de febrero del BOM de Bunny Hill, las letras del Alphabet Garden, y unos cuantos bloques atrasados de otros projectos que estoy haciendo... ay! vaya fregao... poco a poco irán saliendo... mañana toca otra vez día íntegro de costura... jeje

And now I must keep on stitching... since I have to finish the Neighborhood Row, do the next kitten of the Astrocats, february objective of Bent Creek's SAL, to start the SAL of the Locas de la mesa camilla, do the Penélope block of An Angel Story, the basket of february of Bunny Hill's BOM, the letters of the Alphabet Garden, and some more stuff from other projects I am doing... oops! what a mess... little by little they will be coming out... tomorrow I have another only stitching day... hehe

January snows...

January snows... y nunca mejor dicho... porque con el tiempo que estamos teniendo solo apetece quedarse en casa y coser. Gracias al temporal de hoy (aquí han suspendido las clases en los colegios) he podido por fin terminar el primer objetivo del SAL de Bent Creek que estoy haciendo con las chicas del foro de punto de cruz... me ha gustado mucho hacerlo, es tan bonito... pero me ha dado trabajo, me cuesta un poco con esta tela porque es muy tupidita. He usado los colores del gráfico, sin variación. ¿Os gusta?

January snows... no need to say... because with the weather we are suffering it only feels like staying home and stitching. Due to the bad weather today (they even suspended children lessons in schools here today), I managed to finally finish the first objective of the Bent Creek SAL I am doing together with the girls from the Foro de Punto de Cruz... I loved doing it, it is so beautiful... I had a little of a hard time with the fabric because it is quite thick. I have used the colours in the graphic, no changes. Do you like it?

También estoy trabajando en otra cosilla, por eso llevo los SALs retrasados (es para un bebito que nacerá en 4 semanas) pero no puedo enseñar nada porque la mamá visita de vez en cuando mi blog... ;) asi que a esperar toca.

I am also working in another thing, that is why I am late with the SALs (it is for a baby to be born in 4 weeks) but I cannot show anything of it because the baby's mum visits my blog every now and then... ;) so we have to wait.

¡Por fin!... terminé el primer gatito del SAL de Elveawen. La verdad, no pensé que fuera a ser tan laborioso, con tanto medio punto y todas las lineas de después... y tan chiquitín... pero ha quedado fantástico. Bueno, a por el siguiente... aunque aun tengo que terminar el primer objetivo del SAL de Bent Creek (january) que voy retrasada con ese...

Finally!... I finished the first kitten of Elveawen's SAL. To tell the truth I never thought it was going to be so much work, with all those half stitches and all the lines to finish it... an all so tiny... but it turned out great. Well, we must start with the next one... though I must first finish the first objective of Bent Creek's SAL (january), I am late with it...

Lo he hecho usando las equivalencias de DMC, no estoy tan experta como para usar hilos carisimos :))) Me ha quedado bastante bien aunque... tiene un fallito, ¿se lo encontráis?... espero que no se note jeje....



And here it is, first part of the SAL organised by Ara. A beautiful design by Bent Creek. I made it using DMC floss, I am not auch an expert to be using those so expensive threads :))) I think it turned out quite ok though... it has a mistake, can you see it?... hope not too obvious, hehe...

Más SAL de punto de cruz...

No lo pude evitar... nuevamente (voy a tener que hacer algo al respecto, esto no puede ser...). Hace ya tiempo que vi este bordado en algunos blogs y cuando el otro dia me enteré a través del blog de Pili que lo organizaban otra vez en forma de SAL en el foro de punto de cruz... fue imposible resistirse. Espero mantener el tipo.

I could not manage... again (I must do something about it, this can't be...). It 's already some time since I saw this in come blogs and when the other day I saw it in Pili's blog that they were organizing it in the form of a SAL in the x-stitch forum... I could not help it. I hope I can keep up.

Hace un tiempo me apunte a un SAL de punto de cruz que va a organizar Elveawen (empezaremos en Enero) pero se me habia olvidado subirlo al blog. ¡Son unos gatitos preciosos! Teneis de plazo para apuntaros hasta fin de año, aquí.

Some time ago I enlisted a X-Sticht SAL organised by Elveawen (we will start in January) but I forgot to put it in my blog. They are so beautiful kittens! The deadline to join in the end of the year, here.
