Priti Nyc Baby Blue Eyes, Glory Bush and Sky Waltz Delphinium

This Friday morning I have 3 beautiful pastels from Priti Nyc: Baby Blue Eyes, Glory Bush and Sky Waltz Delphinium.

Baby Blue Eyes:
Priti Nyc Baby Blue Eyes is from the Bahamas Summer 2013 collection. It’s a super adorable light blue with a subtle shimmer. Two coats, no top coat.

Gory Bush:
Priti Nyc Glory Bush is a sweet violet creme polish. Two coats, no top coat.

Sky Waltz Delphinium:
Priti Nyc Sky Waltz Delphinium is a pretty, light sky blue. Two coats, no top coat.
My favorite is Baby Blue Eyes, but I also really like Sky Waltz Delphinium - what's your favorite..?

Priti Nyc swatches: Etoile Violet and Ruffled Velvet Iris

- a blurple and a purple Priti Nyc...

Etoile Violet
Priti Nyc 376 Etoile Violet is a blue toned medium purple, I would definitely call it a blurple. This is 2 coats without a top coat.

Ruffled Velvet iris:
Priti Nyc 617 Ruffled Velvet Iris is a beautiful red toned medium purple. It is very opaque, so one coat is enough, but this is two coats without a top coat.
Do you like these two Priti Nyc polishes..?

This is a scheduled post, I am having a long needed offline week, but I will look forward to reading your comments and visiting your blogs again around May 6th….

Doodling on a fairys petticoat

The base color is a nude that I actually can wear, Priti Nyc Fairys Petticoat. It called for a little doodling, so this is the result, and as usual I used acrylic craft paint and Seche Vite as my top coat.
Grundfarven er en nude, som jeg godt synes, jeg kan bruge, nemlig Priti Nyc Fairys Petticoat. Det blev til lidt krusseduller malet med akrylfarve og toplakken er Seche Vite.

Riding Hood flowers on glitter

The base color is Priti Nyc Riding Hood Tulip and on the upper half of each nail I partially sponged with Claire’s holographic top coat before I painted my flowers with metallic acrylic craft paint. The top coat is Seche Vite.
Grundfarven er Priti Nyc Riding Hood Tulip og jeg duppede en øverste halvdel af neglene med Claire’s holographic top coat før jeg malede mine blomster med akrylfarve. Top lakken er Seche Vite.

Ugly doodling on a silver torch

The Base color is Priti Nyc Silver Torch a grayish sand with shimmer. I felt like random doodlings in black and silver, but then I didn’t like it and spiced it up with a coat of inm Northern Light Hologram Top Coat Silver, and then I started to wonder what it would look like with two coats – and here is the result. It’s both a bit weird, but also a little cool maybe, you decide :)

Priti Nyc swatches: Fairys Petticoat and Silver Torch

Normally I never wear nudes/neutrals, but when I recently won a bunch of lovely Priti Nyc polishes from the sweet Elena on Pictured Tinsel, these two were among them, and guess what, I'm almost convinced I can wear these but I will let you be the judge: Can I wear these neutral shades - be honest...?

Priti Nyc Fairys Petticoat is a true nude with a light rose hue and a shy silver shimmer. As a test I layered it over white on my ring finger (with very pronounced ridges) - but the difference is very subtle, and I liked it best on the other nails.
The formula is perfect and so is the dry time - I really love Priti Nyc polishes!

Priti Nyc Silver Torch contains all the colors I do not like on my own nails, but find very elegant on others - yet, I liked them in this combo: grey, sand and beige - and what really lifts this color is the subtle silver shimmer.
Again a flawless formula and super dry time - here shown without a top coat.

So closing rapidly in on 60 years of age, should I act my age and start wearing nudes and granny colors???
- nah, I don't really see that happen, but I might consider wearing neutrals from time to time, if I feel like it - but what is your final verdict: Can I wear these two neutrals do you think...?

And a final question (that I am going to ask more times, because I really would like to know): Do you know any nail bloggers that are 60+???
I know a handful in their early/mid fifties, but am I the oldest...?

Priti Nyc swatches: St. Catherinne's Lace, Moonstone Cactus, King George Aster and Fairy Moss

Today I am going to show you some Priti Nyc swatches of colors that you not normally see me wear...
They all came from the set of 12 Priti Nyc polishes that I won in Elena's Gewinspiel :)

First we have St. Catherinne's Lace in two coats, no top coat. It's a metallic silvery sand, slightly prone to brush strokes, but manageable even for me....

Next we have Moonstone Cactus, also in two coats and no top coat. It's a dusty, grey-toned petrol blue - or greyish-teal cream, very easy to apply....

King George Aster, again in 2 coats and without a top coat. It's a metallic blackened teal, dark grey leaning polish, prone to brush strokes - and let's just say that George and I never became friends ;)

Finally we have Fairy Moss in 2 coats and without a top coat. The colors is a nutty-chocolate-ly brown, it has a very nice formula and look at the shine...

Tiny clusters of flowers - inspired by a brand - Artsy Wednesday

Inspired by a brand is the theme in this Artsy Wednesday. But 99% of the brands I have tried inspire me – so it was difficult to choose. I could have chosen the brand I have most polishes from, namely China Glaze.
I did however decide to show you my first nail art on a Priti Nyc polish, a gorgeous mint cream polish called Lungwort. I painted the flowers with acrylic craft paint, and the top coat is Seche Vite.
Check out the other girls Artsy Wednesday mani's
Michelle - Lab Muffin
Melanie - Nail & Polish
Jessica - Beauty Gnome
Emily - An Accent Nail
Catrine - Unnakednails
Ameerah - Valiantly Varnished
Wendy - M.A.S.P.O.O.A.S.E.
