Girly Bits Abracapocus and Rica Vampire Sangria swatches

Today I have the 2 last of the 8 polishes from the October 2015 Beauty Quartet Box + 4 – Halloween edition: Trick or Treat, a limited edition with only 50 boxes.
Philly Loves Lacquer and Smokey Mountain Lacquers celebrated their one-year anniversary of the Beauty Quartet Box by making a super-sized box – the BQB+4.
It included 8 exclusive limited edition bottles of nail polish from Philly Loves Lacquer, Smokey Mountain Lacquers + the guest indie makers: Rica, Dollish Polish, Gothic Gala Lacquers, Love Angeline, Girly Bits and My Indie Polish.

Girly Bits Abracapocus:

Girly Bits Abracapocus is a beautiful both khaki and sage leaning green holo with orange, green, purple and black micro/holo glitters. It is very opaque in one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite. Much to my surprise I really fell in love with it!!

Rica Vampire Sangria:

Rica Vampire Sangria is a gorgeous, wine red leaning magenta holo with golden micro flakies that gives it an interesting finish. You see it in two easy coats with a coat of Seche Vite.

Girly Bits Too Hot For Pants swatches

Girly Bits Too Hot For Pants is a gorgeous fuchsia/magenta loaded with magenta and red shimmer and holo micro glitter – mmm, I love it! It is super opaque en one coat, but this is two with a coat of Seche Vite.

Floral French nail art in the Arctic Sunrise

The base color is Girly Bits Arctic Sunrise - see swatches HERE - and I painted the tips with the pink shimmer Kiko Sparkle Touch 234 to compliment the pink flakies in Arctic Sunrise. I painted the floral French with acrylic craft colors, and the top coat is Seche Vite.

Girly Bits Arctic Sunrise swatches

Girly Bits Arctic Sunrise was on my wish list forever, and when I finally got it, it landed in the drawer of the untried – but today it demanded to be on my nails, so naturally I obeyed!

Arctic Sunrise is a beautiful sky blue with gorgeous glass flecks, some in a delightful pink – it’s so pretty!

I wore it with two coats on my right hand (as in no photos), and that was fine. But for these photos I added 3 coats and a coat of Seche Vite.

Splish, splash I’m on holo and flowers

 

Silly name for this post – sorry LOL – it’s one of the old mani's (July 7^th) that I considered not to post at all, but here it is…
The base color is one single coat (nice, right??) of China Glaze Splish Splash from the Summer Neons Collection 2012. On my ring finger I used a holo top coat from Girly Bits called Hocus Pocus, and in daylight it kills the nice blue color, but OH in the evening it’s magic. The flowers are painted in acrylic colors and the center is dotted with China Glaze Beach Cruise-R. Top coat is as usual Seche Vite.

Det er et skørt navn – men I ved jo, at jeg ikke kan lade være ;) – det er en gammel mani fra den 7. juli, som jeg overvejede slet ikke at poste.

Grundfarven er et enkelt lag (herligt ikke?) af China Glaze Splish Splash fra Summer Neons Collection 2012. På min ringfringer brugte jeg en holo top coat fra Girly Bits, der hedder Hocus Pocus. Om dagen dræber den den smukke blå farve, men om aftenen og i direkte sol er den magisk. Blomsterne er malet med akrylfarve, og midten er dottet med China Glaze Beach Cruise-R. Toplakken er Seche Vite.

The other fingers are 3 coats of Sinful Fiji, and on the middle and pinkie I top coated with Piper Polish Spectra Flair Top Coat and the thumb with Bit’s Hocus Pocus.

I like toppers that give a holographic effect if I am in the sun or in artificial light in the evening. But in normal light conditions, they dull the polish below them, and make the surface more or less grey, see below. So I still want the real thing, a polish “born” as a holo – but maybe I’ll try to franken the Hocus Pocus with another polish.

De andre tre fingre er 3 lag Sinful Fiji, langemand og lillefinger er top coated med Piper Polish Spectra Flair Top Coat og tommelen med Bit’s Hocus Pocus.

Jeg kan godt li’ toplakker, der giver holografisk effect, hvis jeg opholder mig i solen eller i kunstigt lys om aftenen. Men i mere normalt lyst nedtoner de lakken og gør den mere eller mindre grå, se nedenstående. Så jeg vil stadig have den ægte vare, en holografiske lak, der er født sådan – men måske vil jeg prøve at franken Hocus Pocus med en eller anden lak.

Below you see my first shot for the Hits Dionisio trick question, but it was too obvious. All nails has one coat of Finger Paints Beach Bound, my index and ring finger one coat of Hits Dionisio, my thumb and pinkie one coat of Piper Polish Spectra Flair Top Coat, and on the middle one coat of Girly Bit’s Hocus Pocus. All though I love holo’s I still feel naked without nail art, so I just doodled some random patterns and top coated, see farther below.

Nedenstående ser du mit første forsøg til trickspørgsmålet, men det var for let at gennemskue. Alle negle fik et lag Finger Paints Beach Bound, tommel og lillefinger et lag Piper Polish Spectra Flair Top Coat, og langemand et lag Girly Bit’s Hocus Pocus.Selvom jeg elsker holografiske lakker, synes jeg nu bedst om mine negle med nail art på, så jeg lavede lidt krusseduller, som du kan se længere nede.

In shade especially Hocus Pocus (middle finger) dulls the polish below, even if applied very thin.
