Butter London Giddy Kipper and Cheeky Chops swatches

This post brings you two random Butter London polishes, a beautiful Periwinkle and a bold yellow...

Gidy Kipper:

Butter London Giddy Kipper is a pretty periwinkle leaning indigo with a beautiful shimmer, it’s one of my favorite Butter London polishes. This is 2 easy coats with a top coat.

Cheeky Chops:

Butter London Cheeky Chops is a sunny yellow cream polish. The first coat went on a bit streaky, the second took almost care of that, but I ended up doing 3 coats and a top coat before I was satisfied. To its defense it was a very hot day – one of those that can make a polish misbehave.

Butter London swatches: Sprog and Poole

In this post I have 2 Butter London cream polishes - bot a bit too dusty for me...

Sprog:

Butter London Sprog is a dusty periwinkle cream, unfortunately a bit too dusty for my liking. This is 2 coats with a top coat.

Poole:

Butter London Poole is a very grey-toned and dusty summer khaki cream, way too dusty for me. I had seen swatches of it showing it a beautiful mint – ah well, it’s not the first time – nor will it be the last time that swatches fool me… This is 2 coats with a top coat.

Butter London Sweetie Shop Fiver, Jasper and Molly-Coddled swatches

I was lucky that a friend of mine went to the UK after Butter London's Sweetie Shop coll. 2013 hit the streets. The new Royal Mail restrictions has made it difficult to ship polish from and to the UK!
So first we have Fiver, its a pale mint, with hints of grey and pastel blue, it's gorgeous!

Next up is Jasper - a pastel yellow perfection, and as many of you know, I have a weakness for pastel yellows...

And finally we have Molly-coddled - a beautiful warm toned lilac...

All 3 are shown in two coats and without a top coat. Application is easy and dry time is good!

Serene snowdrops

 

 

I love snowdrops so here you have even more!

The base color is Illamasqua Serenity, a marvelous strong blue, and to create grass I sponged the tips with Illamasqua Nurture and a few dabs of Butter London Wallis. I painted the snowdrops with acrylic craft paint and top coated with Seche Vite.

Ja, jeg kan godt li’ vingergækker, så her kommer der lidt flere!

Grundfarven er Illamasqua Serenity, en smuk stærk blå og for at lave lidt græs, duppede jeg tipperne med Illamasqua Nurture og en smule Butter London Wallis. Jeg malede vingergækker med akrylfarve og toplakken er Seche Vite.

Mushrooms for Lonesome George

I love this forest green holographic polish and after sponging the tips lightly with Butter London Wallis, I painted mushrooms with acrylic craft paint, and top coated with Seche Vite.

Black, red, gold dotticure

 

The black color is A-England Camelot and the red dots are made with a dotting tool and Butter London Knees Up – and the gold is Orly Glitz & Glamour. The top coat is of course Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er den sorte A-England Camelot og de røde prikker er lavet med et dotting tool og Butter London Knees Up – og guldprikkerne er lavet med Orly Glitz & Glamour. Toplakken er Seche Vite.

Flower vines on marrow

 

 

 

The base color is Butter London Marrow and I painted the vines and leaves with metallic acrylic craft paint and the flowers with normal acrylic craft paint. The top coat is Seche Vite. I like the effect in the metallic paint, do you?

Grundfarven er Butter London Marrow og jeg malede ranker og blade med metallic akrylfarve og blomsterne med normal akrylfarve. Toplakken er Seche Vite. Jeg er ret glad for den metalliske effekt, hvad synes du?

Drag marble - Artsy Wednesday

 

 

This weeks challenge in Artsy Wednesday is drag marble. 
I chose Butter London Knees Up as my base color, and when I applied the second coat I immediately added a circle or stripe of gold and and the thumb and middle finger also a little teal glitter, both stripers, and finished one nail at a time. I wasn't too inspired and I'm not happy about the result. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Red and gold stripes and dots

 

 

Do you remember not so long ago, where I promised to show you what I ended up with after wearing “Golden stamping on shiny red”?

Well here it is. The base color is one coat of the very well pigmented Butter London Knees Up, and I painted the pattern with acrylic colors and top coated with Seche Vite.

Kan du huske at jeg ikke så længe siden lovede at vise, hvad jeg endte op med efter at jeg ikke følte mig tilpas med ”Golden stamping on shiny red”?

Her har du det… Grundfarven er den meget velpigmenterede  Butter London Knees Up, og jeg malede mønsteret i guld med akrylfarve, og toplakken er Seche Vite.

Birthday flowers

 

 

It's my birthday today - so what more appropriate than to use Confetti Happy Birthday from a swap with KarenD as the base color for my birthday mani? 
And to make sure I got some flowers I sponged the tips with Butter London Wallis and painted some in acrylic colors, and the top coat is Seche Vite!
Det er min fødselsdag i dag - så hvad er mere passende end at bruge Confetti Happy Birthday fra min swap med KarenD som grundfarven til min fødselsdags manicure?
Og for at sikre mig at jeg fik blomster, duppede jeg først spidserne med Butter London Wallis og dernæst malede jeg blomster med akrylfarve. Toplakken er Seche Vite!
