A song of abstract patterns

 

 

 

The base color is Zoya Song (see swatches HERE) and I painted random patterns/doodling in gold and white acrylic craft colors. The top coat is Seche Vite.

I only own 3 Zoya polishes - here are 2 of them...
I do LOVE their colors - but I so hate the slow drying time. As I always wear my nails with nail art this is a problem - and yes I can use a coat of Seche Vite to speed up the drying time, but that is the only time I experience shrinking along the cuticle and sides of the nail - so to obtain a beautiful result, I have to be patient...

 First we have the beautiful Monica, a gorgeous eggplant purple....

 Next we have Song, just look at that beautiful blue color and the gorgeous, glass fleck-like shimmer...

 

 

If you live in Europe a good place to buy Zoya is Pretty Polish in the Netherlands...

The base color is Zoya Monica, a beautiful eggplant purple cream polish. I don’t really know where this flower petal feather-like pattern came from, but that’s what my brush did when I let it loose. The top coat is Seche Vite.

Grundfarven er Zoya Monica, en smuk auberginefarvet creme lak. Jegved faktisk ikke rigtigt hvor dette kronblad-fjerligende mønster kom fra, men det var det min pensle malede, da jeg slap den fri. Toplakken er Seche Vite.

To finish this army green series of unplugged nail art, I decided to mix them all, to make a camouflage pattern – a “now I’m here, now I’m not” look :) I admit, it’s not really a true unplugged. I started off with 2 coats of China Glaze Westside Warrior, and when dry, I used a dotting tool and added randomly (1 color at a time) Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni and as the new kid on the block also Essie Licorice. Finally I added Seche Vite top coat.
On the last photo I used Essie Matte about you for at matte finish.

Som afslutning på min armygrønne serie af unplugged nail art, besluttede jeg at mikse alle farver I et kamuflagemønster – et “nu er jeg her – nu er jeg ikke” look :) Jeg indrømmer, at det ikke er ægte unplugged.
Grundfarven er 2 lag China Glaze Westside Warrior, og da lakken var tør, brugte jeg et dotting tool og lavede tilfældige pletter (en farve ad gangen) med Zoya Dree, Essie Sew Psyched, H&M Hunt Me Down, H&M Wanna Pepperoni og som ny i selskabet også Essie Licorice. Toplakken er Seche Vite, men på det sidste billede har jeg brugt Essie Matte about you for at skabe et mat look!
Jo, nu er jeg helt klart parat til at gå på jagt, når sæsonen ellers starter igen ;)

I had no real plan, except that I wanted to try Zoya Dree. But then it started to loudly cry out for some kind of nail art, and I know better than to disappoint a wee polish. I chose 6 different acrylic colors that wouldn’t subdue it, and let my mind wander without any goal, like when you doodle during a phone conversation, and this was the result. I sealed the design with Seche Vite.
And so this became the first of a row of unplugged nail art on army/olive colors, and this might not be very good - but still the first ...
Jeg havde ingen plan, havde bare lyst til at prøve Zoya Dree. Men Dree begyndte straks at tigge om en eller anden form for nail art, og jeg skuffer af princip aldrig en lille neglelak, der tigger. Derfor valgte jeg 6 forskellige acrylfarver, som ikke ville overdøve den, og lod ellers tankerne vandre uden noget mål eller plan, ligesom når man kruseduller, mens man snakker i telefon. Jeg sluttede af med Seche Vite dry fast top coat.
Sådan gik startskuddet til en række unplugged nail art på army/olivengrønne farver. Resultatet er måske ikke så godt som de senere - men det var det første.

Zoya Dree, 2 coats and no top coat. It’s my very first Zoya, so I had no idea of what to expect. It was easy to apply and work with. Dry time is OK, but not super fast. The color is a warm, very dark olive green.

ZoyaDree, 2 lag og ingen top coat. Det er min første Zoya, så jeg vidste ikke, hvad jeg skulle forvente. Den var let at lægge og arbejde med. Tørretiden er OK, ikke lynhurtig. Farven er en varm og meget mørk olivengrøn.

Jeg købte den dels fordi jeg gerne ville prøve Zoya, men også fordi den mindede mig om farven på Saga Noréns Porsche i TV serien ”Broen”. Den er dog en anelse mørkere en Porschen, vil jeg mene, hvad siger du?
