Little Cuties

Hello everyone, it's Cutie Pie time again and the theme is

Cards for a child

I absolutely LOVE Hetty Clare images, especially her wonderful ponies so I am delighted that she is our sponsor this time. It was also a pleasure to colour up the gorgeous Pony Plait .

These pony digis are wonderfully detailed with well defined shaded areas so I tend to avoid alcohol markers because they smudge a bit. I dusted off my Spectrum Noir pencils to colour. the papers are from a Marianne Designs block Hello Sweet Baby and all the dies from Tonic's Cherish the moment set. I ran with the pink and brown-ish colourway and finished off with brown and pink pearls.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope that I have encouraged you to join in.

See you soon xx

Bunny and Butterflies

Hello folks, Monday again but Easter will soon be here so a long weekend for some of us at least, let's hope the weather is kind.

With Easter in mind, I have a Sasayaki Glitter Design Team card to share with you today featuring the most adorable bunny rabbit.

See what I mean?!! I used my SN pencils to colour her to coordinate with the pretty papers. The lacy border was a Sale purchase at Noor Design UK and the enamel dots and seam binding came from my stash.

I know I keep saying it but you still have time to share your Easter makes at

/

in order to win your pick of 3 fantastic digis from the store.

A heart full of joy

Happy Sunday everyone. Well, the Birthday celebrations are over, as my waistband can testify!! We enjoyed a delicious family lunch out yesterday and I still have treats to come by way of Beauty/Hair Treatment and Shopping Gift Cards, so I shall save those for now. Thank you for your good wishes, cards and pressies, you are such a lovely lot!!

Anyway, I managed a bit of crafty time last night and as I have deviated a little from my Christmas Card Plan decided to rectify that by making this...

This is my first Your Next Stamp stamp set, I was so impressed with the quality it definitely won't be my last. I have looked at fabulous examples of colouring on Kraft so decided to have a go myself using my SN pencils, without blending solution this time. I was relatively pleased with the effect and will be having another play in the future. I made a sparkly heart to give a bit of life to the flat CAS style, using a long forgotten MB die.

Here are some challenges

ABC Christmas - D = Don't overdo it!!
Sweet Stampin - Glitter and Sparkle
ABC challenge - B...you pick (Bunny, bow, bird)

Enjoy your Sunday and if you haven't already left a comment on my Birthday Post below please remember to do so for the chance of  a "spend" at dies to die for!!

Take Care xx

Santa's Doggy Welcome

Hello crafters I hope your week is going to be a good one. No work for me today as I am enjoying the May Bank Holiday that I had in hand. I started off with a ride which was a tad chilly to say the least. Surprise has morphed from sleek and shiny to a furry monster in a matter of days, a sure sign that the season is on the change, which brings me nicely to my card...a Christmas one!!

I have drooled over Lynne's (Ruby-Dooby-Doo Crafts) samples of Eat Cake Graphic Stamps for ages and back along decided that I had to get some.

 This is one of them...

...Santa's Doggy Welcome. I used another of Jules sketches and coloured with SN pencils. The papers are from an older Doodlebug pad. The fur trim on his costume is flower soft and the sentiment from Clearly Besotted.

Some challenges

Pencil Case #1 - Anything Goes
Winter Wonderland - Add a sentiment
Crafty Catz #291 - Anything Goes
As the sun is shining I am going to make the most of it and burn off some calories before an evening out with the girls to wish a colleague farewell.

Have a good day whatever you are doing xx

Follyfoot

Hello, hello my lovelies and I hope you are well today.

I am here to invite you to join in at As You Like It where the new theme is

It will come as no surprise that among my favourite literary guilty pleasures there happen to be a few that are equine in nature and my inspiration came from the Follyfoot series of books by Monica Dickens that became a popular TV series in the 70's and I sooooo wanted to be like Dora!!
Why did I choose Follyfoot? Well after my wonderful family my animals are so precious to me and give me so much pleasure, added to which they tolerate the nonsense that comes out of my mouth on a regular basis and don't judge me!! Case in point I can hear you yelling "shut up Sarah and show the card!!"......here it is

The rubber stamp is one of the very first that I ever bought and is called Charley with Willow that I coloured with SN pencils to match the pretty Pebbles paper. The sweet flowers were punched out of perfectly matching pink card (although looking at the picture it doesn't seem so!!) and I added a yellow gem to the centres.

Some challenges to enter
Bunny Zoe's - Furry Friends
Craft Your Passion #266 - Anything Goes
Love to Scrap #56 - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Oh so pretty
Crafting by designs - Summertime Fun
(more riding for me!!)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope I have inspired you to join us at AYLI.

See you soon xx

Antiques

Hello everyone. In case you didn't know Squirrel is holding another of her fabulous Challenges and this time it's Antique Roadshow.
Like all of us I have long forgotten gems hidden beneath all the latest dies, stamp collections and assorted paraphernalia that we really don't need (cough splutter)!! So here is what I made using one of the very first stamps and die sets I ever bought together with a card design that I haven't crafted for absolutely ages.

The stamp is Bild Malarna Mimosa Chicken ( not sure why but feathered friends seem to be featuring a lot lately!!) I coloured her with pencils to compliment the  MME Fine and Dandy Girl paper. She was die cut using SB Labels 18

The side shot shows how the label holds the card up.
The white leaves were cut using Marianne LR0226. The pretty flowers are by Petaloo, the tag from an IO set and the sentiment from a Clearly Besotted sentiment set.
See, not a new item in sight!!

While on the subject of Ornithology, we had a super lunch out last Saturday and as we were waiting for our main course to arrive spotted a seagull furtively casing the joint, the cheeky devil then hopped onto the bench and devoured the crisps that had been left behind!!

Oh and while Surprise and I were out on Sunday morning I heard the cuckoo for the very first time, which always pleases me enormously as I know summer is on the way. Not so pleasing though is that I shall have to remember to keep the garage door closed so that the naughty cuckoo doesn't throw out another nest of house martin babies...nature can be cruel :0( ...actually so can I...bear with I am in a bit of a chatty mood today!! We used to have hanging baskets at the front door, however, several summers ago unbeknownst to me Mr & Mrs Blue Tit built a nest among the bedding plants and it was only by chance that I discovered it, one morning as I was watering, complete with seven eggs !! I was so worried that I had saturated them and that they wouldn't hatch but lo and behold they did, all seven. I had to let the flowers die though because I was terrified I would drown the babies!!  Needless to say we now have plants in troughs and the baskets are redundant!!

I'm off to link up at Squirrel's World and a few others!!
Addicted to Stamps #104 - Spring with Birds/Eggs
Allsorts #310 - More than two die cuts
Through the purple haze - Spring Colours

Hope Wednesday is good to you xx

Tulips from....Cuddly Buddly

Hello everyone. I have another gorgeous Cuddly Buddly image to share with you today.

Now isn't that just a bunch of spring?!! I got out the SN pencils to colour it up and spent a happy hour doing so. The border at the top was done with a MFT die.

Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge #222 - Anything Goes
Digi Choosday Week #14 -  Use a Die
