Silent Night, Holy Night

Hello, hello!! Lovely to see you and I hope you are in for a good week.

I have such a cutie to share today. It's my DT piece for

We are Anything Goes with an optional theme, which this time is

Silent Night, Holy Night

so if you would like to, share a Nativity scene or perhaps an angel.

Here's mine...

I took inspiration from Sam Calcott again for the card shape. It was quite time consuming cutting out all the mats and I would highly recommend making a paper template first but, as you can see, the end result is well worth it. The image is the rubber version of LotV's Mary & Joseph. I coloured them with Spectrum Noir pens for a change. Apologies for the diabolical photograph, try as I might I just could not get a good one today!! It really is much nicer in real life!!

Thank you for your visit and comments. They are always much appreciated xx

Happy Birthday bunny

Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead. I took a bit of a tumble from Wills on Saturday so am feeling a little bit sore and my right buttock is an interesting colour. Still, could have been worse!!

I don't know about you but I always fill an A4 sheet with digis, even if I only need one for a DT piece. For that reason I am on a mission to colour up the resulting mountain of digi images that I seem to have accumulated and this is the first.

This gorgeous little Spring image just cried out to be dressed in pink. For a change I gave the Promarkers a rest and used my SN Illustrator pens. Just a simple design as usual but adorned with a simple punched layered flower.

I used a "Happy" stamp from a Craftwork Cards set and the lovely "Birthday" die is a Whimsy one that was a gift from a lovely crafty pal and used a snippet of white card.

Thank you for stopping by. Your compnay, as always, is most welcome xx

The bear essentials...Cutie Pie

Hello friends. I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. We were gifted wall to wall sunshine so made the most of it by taking a quick visit to West Bay on Saturday. We got there early and managed a peaceful thirty minutes on the beach, just sitting and people watching!! It was all about the four legged family members yesterday. An early morning ride followed by a session trimming the dogs with the horse clippers (UK friends...think Specsavers with the Farmer shearing the sheep!!), they look so much better for it!! It was so hot in the afternoon that we hosed down the ponies. On returning to his paddock Wills promptly got down and rolled in the mud!!

If you've got this far I am actually here to invite you to the new Cutie Pie Challenge.

The Bear Essentials...a cute card with a bear on it...simple!!

Another challenge sponsored by Lee Holland, not used one of those images for yonks and find two consecutive Dt pieces by the same sponsor!! This little cutie was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers to match the bright and cheery paper, that I think is First Edition. The banner is from a retired Clearly Besotted set that I stamped and heat embossed.

Thank you for stopping by and listening to my jabbering...I will leave you with a couple of snaps of the sea, what a beautiful colour too.

See you later in the week xx

Birthday Wishes

Hello all. Hope you are well this Friday and looking forward to the weekend.

I have a cute squirrel to share with you today. He and his bunch of balloons is available here and his creator is the sponsor of the new challenge at

You know by now that it's always Anything Goes and your image must be hand coloured...easy!!

The original plan was to just showcase the image and balance it with the fabulous "Birthday" but it just didn't look right, boy oh boy did I panic..."what if I can't find the exact colours among my obscene amount of paper pads?" As if!! All is well though as I found just the thing in an old Echo Park A Boy's Life pad and it looked so much better.

I have looked in awe at you clever colourists who manage to make balloons look see through so was determined to have a jolly good go. Imagine my delight when I realised that I had achieved a reasonable attempt, I really should have more confidence at my age!!

Thank you for calling, it's still a delight to see comments, they are much appreciated.

See you soon xx

CAS or Fussy at AYLI

Hello everyone. How are you all doing? The weather has picked up a little bit here in the UK and that has certainly put a spring in my step!! Covid vaccination clinics are drawing to an end as we are doing the first Pfizer for 18-30 year olds this coming Saturday and have only two more second jab clinics to go. It has been hard work but equally wonderful to be involved in such an important event.

Another important event is the new challenge at As You Like It Challenge where it's

CAS or Fussy

I am one of those people that doesn't really fall into either category as I love patterned papers far too much to favour CAS but like to keep my cards flat for posting so don't tend to add too many embellishments. For the purpose of this challenge I am a "little bit fussy" which suits the recipient of this card. It is for a work colleague, Eve, who absolutely LOVES pink and is incredibly girly.

I have been trying to use less cute stamps and bought this gem a while back. With pink in mind I found a Craftwork Cards Julie Loves pad and made a dutch fold card base. It doesn't quite sit on the supporting flaps but that can be our secret!!

She was coloured with Spectrum Noir markers for a change

and  used my trusty Mama Elephant tag and stamp set for the sentiment.

Just a simple seam binding bow and pearly flower ooh and a touch of stardust glitter too.

See you soon  xx

Add an animal

Happy Monday everyone!! After the manic last few weeks I have had I am so glad that this one has arrived as I am on annual leave!! Chance to recharge the batteries hopefully and catch up with friends and family and perhaps some Christmas shopping!!

I am sharing my Cutie Pie DT card today where the theme is ADD A CUTE ANIMAL. I am still in full on Christmas production so chose Highland Christmas from our Sponsor Di's Digis.

Oh bother...I have just noticed the camera mark on Christmas!! Never mind, it can be our secret!!

I wish you a good week whatever you are up to and I will see you on Thursday with another Christmas card. Until then take care xx

Make me up

Hello!! Another brand new month and another new release at Sasayaki Glitter. I chose this little lady to play with and put her together with some free LOTV papers from way back!!

I gave my SN Illustrator pens another airing and I think I am getting the hang of them!! The flowers on her dress were given a bit of bling by way of a Sakura glitter pen but try as I might I could not get it to photograph, probably because it was sunny!! I realised I was short on oval dies in my collection so recently got hold of a Tonic essentials set which I am really pleased with and used them for the image and the sentiment.

Well that is me for today. I am having a quiet week, work wise, so might get chance to have a crafty play once the furry members of the family have been taken care of. There are a couple of challenges that have caught my eye so here's hoping!!

Until next time xx

Baking Time

Hello friends, Thursday again and another weekend sneaking up on us!!

I am here with my inspiration card for Sasayaki Glitter.

This little cutie is called Baking Time.

I must apologise for the quality of the photograph, my trusty camera is misbehaving so I had to use my mobile phone which I can never keep still enough for a crisp picture...but you get the idea!!

I love colouring these short haired little ladies, so much simpler than long flowing locks!! She was matched to some old papers that I found in my stash, I have a feeling they might be Dovecraft, but don't hold me to that!!

Hope you are all in good health, if not, I wish you better days xx

Coffee and Friends

Me again...I have actually managed to grab some time to myself and make some cards just for fun, so, inspired by some current challenges I came up with this.

It was the first time I had inked this sweet stamp by Your Next Stamp and, as usual, I coloured her up to match the papers that came from The Works ( as well as a few other pads actually!!)

I used SN Illustrator pens to colour her and am pleased to say I am getting the hang of them. I also broke the mould and tried blonde hair which I am really pleased with. The embossed panel was supposed to be a panel with texture paste but the colour was wrong so I improvised and used a Leoni folder instead. I will save the paste panel for another project!!

The rain has gone so today I am going to spend some time in the garden, the weeds on the patio will be easier to deal with now the ground is damp!! No riding for me as poor Surprise is lame at the moment and having a week in bed so I can use the time doing something productive!!

Whatever you are doing, I hope it's a good one xx

Easter Amy

Hello everyone. I am hanging my head in shame as due to work related issues I forgot to post this yesterday...oops!!

So, this is one of the new images available here

She is called Easter Amy.

I coloured her with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens to match the Taylored Expressions papers. The sentiment is from another Easter set.

Anyway,  must love you and leave you. Take Care xx

So Fairy Cute

Happy Monday everyone. Hope your weekend was a good one. We had lots of sunshine here in Dorset UK and it was so warm that Surprise had her first days out naked...and came in covered in mud. She thinks she's doing me a favour because mud = grooming and it's quite a workout!!

Anyway, less waffling and the reason I am here.

It's new challenge day at

new style blog badge

and the theme is

So Fairy Cute

Here's what I did using an image from our sponsor All Dressed Up

She is called Little Flower Fairy and was coloured to match the fantastic Nitwits papers. I dug out an old Martha Stewart punch for a pretty lacy border and found  perfectly matched ribbon and cardstock for the mats. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol pens for a change and was really pleased with the result.

Looking forward to seeing you there, remember that your image must be cute though!!
