so eyes down, look in...here we go!!!

I have made a pair of Christmas cards using  the top row Distress Ink, Dry Embossing and Red, and the middle vertical row, Dry Embossing, Green and Twine.

The cute paper was a Making Cards freebie, I actualy used a Memory Box stencil for the embossed snowfall, a Lawn Fawn bauble die and a free Christmas sentiment stamp..

Prizes from Stampendous

It's a brilliant board with lots of choice so it's going to be a great week!!

Hand Coloured Cutie

Morning All. Happy to have you here and I hope that you have a good week ahead.

It's time for a festive make again at

where its Anything Goes with an optional theme. This month we would love to see your CUTE hand coloured images.

I am sharing a cute fox from LOTV Animal christmas Wreaths, coloured with Promarkers. I fussy cut some of the holly leaves and layered them up for a little bit of dimension and used Opal Liquid Pearls for the mistletoe berries. The background paper and strips are from Lawn Fawn.

No work for me this week...Yay, which actually didn't start well as I had a horrid migraine yesterday. Feeling a bit better this morning with just a "woolly" head. I think we are off to the Agricultural Merchants to get some bits and pieces so I think coffee and cake might be in order along the way.

Whatever you are up to I hope you have a good day xx

Traditional or Modern Christmas

Well autumn has finally arrived here in Dorset. We've had frosty, cold and crisp days and also  warm and blustery wet days. The Summer clothes have been packed away and my Christmas Shopping list has one or two gifts ticked off already. Once again I am trying really hard to buy local, at the very least within Dorset and so far, so good!

On the subject of Christmas over at

we are itching to see your Traditional or Modern Christmas cards, with an explanation too.

My blogging buddies will know that I love nothing more than a cute image, bright colours and some snazzy paper so it's a Modern type card from me, featuring the aforementioned.

It's a dinky 4x4 card base, covered in a Doodlebug Design scrap. The penguin is part of an MFT set, Sweet Holiday Penguins , as is the sentiment that was stamped on to a Lawn Fawn, Wavy Banners. Oh and the penguin was coloured with Promarkers.

Lovely to have your company here today. Keep well everyone and stay safe, in our part of the country the Covid cases are rising steeply again.

See you soon xx

Sleigh bells ring (are you listening?)

Happy Monday all, and yes it is a happy Monday for me as I am on annual leave. Not a great deal planned, routine breast screening later in the week, and the weather looks quite settled once storm Franklin has passed so that's good. We survived storm Eunice, on Friday, with  no damage, just some tree debris and I hope you can all say the same.

The Christmas Cuties are back after our winter break so we hope that you will join in and get ahead with your Christmas cards.

We would love you to share your cards featuring a sleigh, as you can see, I made three while I was about it!

I used a sweet stamp set and co-ordinating die set from Lawn Fawn and coloured the little bear and his sleigh in pastel colours to match the Julie Loves papers.

Looking forward to seeing your cards.

Stay safe everyone and see you soon xx

What goes with blue?

Hello lovelies, how are you doing? Okay I hope in these strange October days.

Now I wouldn't say that I avoid blue, but it really isn't my "go to" colour so my DT piece for

was a challenge for me in itself....BLUE plus another colour.

My regular visitors will know that I am somewhat addicted to paper pads so it will not be a shock when I tell you that during a ( masked up, socially distanced) trip to The Works, five of the little devils jumped into my basket. I didn't have the heart to put them back on the shelf!! Anyway this one was blue and a pretty shade of pink, a perfect combo for this sweet pop up Christmas card. I used my Lawn Fawn die set for the base, cut a snowy hill that I glittered, and dug out Mama Elephant Reindeer Games stamp set for little Rudolph and his lady friend, who were coloured with Promarkers.

I hope that you will join us.

Keep well everyone and see you soon xx

Bright or Pastel?

Hello friends and visitors. Hope everyone is keeping well amid the continued pandemic.

I have a couple of bright and cheery Christmas cards to share with you today to inspire you to join in at

where we are looking forward to seeing your makes using bright or pastel colours.

I love bold and bright statement colours both in cardmaking and my clothes, so a bright red and green combo seemed perfect for these cute cards. I used Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays stamp and die sets for the little red car and associated roof luggage!!

That's all for today. Stay Safe and see you soon xx

Stitching

Hello friends. I hope this finds you well. Yet another Christmas card to share today, this time for

where we are all about stitching and how you add it to your cards.

My nod to stitching is usually by way of dies and on this card the bauble has a stitched edge, as does the circle mat in the middle. I tend to use dies these days for stitched detail mainly for the convenience and speed.

It was unintentional but I seem to have used a lot of products from our sponsor, Lawn Fawn, on this card, the bauble shaped tag and the stamp and companion dies. It is a dinky little 4x4 card that was coloured with Promarkers.

Thank you for visiting and if I have not visited you recently please accept my apologies. Free time has been in short supply of late what with one thing or another going on here but all will be well in the not too distant future.

See you soon xx

Just for fun!!

Happy New Week Everyone!!

This is a rare occurrence, and no mistake!! In fact I rather amazed myself when I managed to make a card just for fun instead of only DT creations. So here goes...

I watercoloured these cute PB fellas with various Distress Inks splodged on my craft mat. I was delighted that the colours matched the papers so well and will definitely have another go when time allows.

I hate to say it but it has been rather nice to have a wet weekend so that I could get some time in my work room. I am planning tissue pouches as Christmas presents for the girls at work this year so have been cutting fabric to size ready to have mass assembly one evening. My Christmas card pile isn't looking too shabby either so I am quite pleased with progress.

If you are out and about at Firework Displays tonight, stay safe.

See you later in the week xx

Cutie Pie Festive Furry Friend

Happy Spring Bank Holiday if you are here in the UK...elsewhere...Happy Monday!!

Furry Christmas Friends is the theme of the new challenge at

Christmas With The Cuties

Those of you that visit often will know that "cute" features often here so this was right up my street.

I used the bunny rabbit from a Your Next Stamp collection because he matched perfectly with the Lawn fawn paper pad.

I bought the mason jar shaker kit (together with lots more actually) on shopping telly a while back and this was actually my second attempt. The first went in the bin as I filled the shaker bit with glitter but despite my best efforts beforehand, with an anti static cloth, I couldn't stop the glitter sticking to the acetate bubble...lots of bad words in the craft room that day I can tell you!!

Anyway, all's well that ends well and I think the fluffy snowballs add some cute charm to the simple card.

You have plenty of time to join in and it would be so good to see you!!

Hope you have a good day xx

AYLI - Easter Creatures

My word these weeks are flying by and it is time for another new challenge at

With Easter only a few weeks away we would like to see your project showing your favourite Easter animal.

I was torn between rabbits and chicks and the chicks won, only because of my new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies!!

I made lots of these for my work colleagues.

I used Promarkers to colour these little guys.

So, that's my inspiration for you, a bit of CAS for a change and they were incredibly quick to put together.

Hope to see your Easter projects xx

Pop up box card

Hello everyone, I hope this finds you well. Late in the day for me, I know but I wanted to enter some challenges with my project.

I had been debating "should I or shouldn't I?" for some time about investing in the Lawn Fawn pop up box set and in the end decided that I should!!
So, here is my first attempt.

I used a Craftwork Cards pad for the panels and used a very old floral border die for the blooms which I cut in four spring colours and then snipped and put back together ( I do hope that this satisfies the handmade criteria at Allsorts , if not please feel free to delete me!!). The grass is an icicle die, upside down 😁

This creation made me feel very light hearted and optimistic about the forthcoming spring, in fact it has been glorious here in Dorset today!! I have a feeling the dry weather is here to stay but the temperatures are due to plummet...at least the rain  has stopped, fingers crossed.

That's all for now, see you later in the week xx

AYLI favourite die

Gosh, aren't these weeks flying by? I can hardly believe that it's our second challenge at

We would love to see your projects showcasing your favourite die.

It was a no brainer for me. My Spellbinders circles, my Tonic scalloped circles and my Lawn Fawn banners are my most used dies. I love that the scalloped circles are large enough to make an almost 15cm card base that, in this case, I covered with some LOTV paper.

The cute little stamp is from a very, very old Kanban set and I coloured the sweet little pair with Promarkers.

It would be lovely if you could join us.

Thank you for your visit, I know that many bloggers are also using other social platforms these days but, for me, blogger is still far more personal and I shall continue to post here as long as my blogging buddies keep visiting!!

See you soon xx

Boys Will Be Boys

Hello, Good Morning and Welcome!! It's time for

The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog

It is Boys Will Be Boys and I chose this sweet little fella from our Sponsor.

Pink Gem Designs

He is pre-coloured and I chose Lawn Fawn papers that seem to compliment his outfit perfectly. I can't remember where my Happy Birthday die came from but it adds a bit of interest to a fairly plain card. I die cut the star buttons and then coated them in glossy accents for a bit of shine. Its been a long time since my boys sat cross legged on the floor playing on their Playstation!! Martin and I couldn't wait for them to go to bed so that we could attempt the next level on Crash Bandicoot...remember him?!!

Well, Mama Mia was brilliant and we came home a little hoarse from  singing our heads off!! There was plenty of time to wander around Bournemouth beforehand and reawaken some happy childhood memories. Lunch was scrumptious too, so a very successful outing and one I hope we can do again.

Anyway, we look forward to seeing your Cute boy cards.

See you soon xx

Making Frosty friends

Happy Friday everyone and I hope you have something nice planned for the coming weekend. Martin is working so it will be pottering about here for me, spending some time with Surprise, dog walking, lawn mowing (if the rain stops!) and maybe even some housework...I said maybe!!

Anyway, I was inspired by a DT card that my lovely friend Lisa shared in support of
Sweet Sketch Wednesday and thought I would join in so here is my card.

Most of you will know that I am a bit seriously  partial to a paper pad or three and I recently subscribed to Craftwork Cards' Julie Loves monthly boxes and this Christmas collection was my first delivery. It's gorgeous as you can see!! The snowlady was stamped using a Lawn Fawn set Making Frosty Friends and was coloured with SN Illustrator markers.

Another Christmas card made!!

Thank you for stopping by xx

AYLI Favourite Reason

Hello lovely people. Don't these weeks just fly by? It doesn't seem possible that I am here shouting about another new challenge at

which is Your Favourite reason to send a card (other than a Birthday!!).

Other than Christmas, mine is a Just Because card which I make and send to friends that I haven't seen for a while or to those I haven't even met (but hope to!!). Let's be honest, there is nothing nicer than receiving a card totally out of the blue is there?!!

Like many, I am sure, I just had to have one or two (maybe a few more!!) of the newest LOTV images and I am so glad I chose this little darling as she was a delight to colour. I used Promarkers to compliment the papers that I picked up in The Works. I found the layout somewhere and cannot for the life of me remember where, so to whoever it was...I thank you!!

Right, that's me for this week. I hope you have a good weekend, when you get there. We have Mollie Rose's Christening, to look forward to, on Sunday so I hope the weather will stay reasonable for us. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Until next time xx

AYLI Favourite Colour

Hello friends, it's Thursday which means it's time for the latest challenge to kick off at

Another easy one  your FAVOURITE COLOUR

I am one of those people that really doesn't have a favourite colour as such so I did the sensible thing and trawled back through my cards to have a bit of a tally. Shock...horror...PINK is my favourite/most used colour!! So I made this just to prove the point!!

I was in a CAS mood and just had to play with my new Hunky Dory stamp set, Doodlebug paper pad and Lawn Fawn die set. I was so pleased with the result and have just the person in mind to send it to when the time comes.

I have a bit of time on my side as I am waiting for the end of year reports to print so am able to have a chat and share some photographs.

Spring is well and truly under way here in Dorset, our daily walks/rides are fragrant by way of the lovely bluebells and wild garlic that has started to appear. The pheasants are much bolder now that the shooting season is over and there are deer all over the place which is a worry because they appear through the hedge causing Surprise to jump and the dogs pick up the scent and get giddy with excitement!! Our rabbit family have come out of their winter burrows and are now making themselves at home on the lawn, again causing much excitement for Bowie and Bumble and frequent coffee spillage for me as I tend to throw it all over myself when they bark...little b*ggers darlings!!

Bumble and Bowie very wet from the morning dew.

Hope to see you soon xx

Christmas with the Cutie Pies

Happy new week everyone!! I am not so happy as it's back to work for me today following annual leave last week...boo hoo!!

Anyway,  less of that and more of this

The new challenge theme is

No man like a snowman (full details here)

I used  a CC Designs snowman that was a Christmas pressie from a dear crafty buddy (thank you ever so much xx).  He was so easy to colour and his cute specs cried out for glossy accents, which actually shows up in the photograph!! The dies that feature are from Lawn Fawn And Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Well, that's another Christmas card to add to the pile. I hope you will join in and add another card to your own collection for this year...it is only ten months away!!!

Whatever this week throws at you I hope it is a good one.

See you tomorrow  xx

The Cutie Pies Winter Warmers

Hello friends. It's time for my DT card for

The Cutie Pie Challenge Blog

As we are in the midst of winter the theme this time is  Winter Warmers

Nothing like a hot chocolate with marshmallows to warm you up...as you can see I didn't add cream though...I am trying to be good!! I used  Hot Cocoa Bear from, Bugaboo, one of our sponsors (full details on the challenge blog here ). Hope you will join in and either make a start on your Christmas cards for this year or make a birthday card for a winter Birthday.

Happy Day

Hello friends!! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones. I can't believe that it's all over and we are running headlong into 2017. With that in mind I am here to share my last bit of Sasayaki Glitter inspiration for 2016. This time in the shape of Happy Day

As her name suggests I used really bright and happy colours by way of a new Lawn Fawn paper pad. She was coloured with Promarkers to match. I found some suitably matched coloured gems in my stash and unwrapped a die that has been sat in my unused pile for...ahem...years!! Better late than never!! While I am here I would like to wish you all a healthy and happy New Year and thank you for your continued support over the last one.
I have three resolutions, which I suspect will sound familiar to every single one of you!!

1)I will try to spend more time here next year.
2) Spend less money on crafty stash (yeah right!!) and
3) Use  what I already have or find a new home for it.

I will let you know how that goes!!

Anyway, see you again on New Year's Day xx

"V" for Very Cute

I am guesting again at ABC Christmas Challenge and the letter this time is

"V" for Very Cute

Here is what I came up with

The sponsor is Zlatoena and as I have some of her images in stamp form decided to use one of them. This guy is Define Good and he was coloured with Promarkers. The papers are Lawn Fawn Snow Day. There was a liberal sprinkling of glamour dust for a snowy effect too.
