Flying Fairy

Hello again. It is my turn to share another lovely image from

This time I have chosen to showcase Flying Fairy and I have coloured her with Promarkers as a Christmassy Fairy. The papers are from a Lawn Fawn pad.

Thank you for visiting today. See you soon xx

When you see a Robin...

So, I managed to grab some time to do a bit of crafting last night and used these challenges for inspiration

Darnell's NBUS #7
Dies Digis - Anything with wings
Allsorts Challenge #378 - Use 2+ dies
I love Promarkers #316 - Use a die
Sweet Stampin' - No designer papers

We are blessed with lots of feathered visitors to our garden, one of my  favourites being the Robins,  who are such friendly little birds, so when I spotted .....at Little Claire Designs it went straight in my basket!! He is, of course, coloured with Promarkers.  The shaped card and associated die cuts are from a Couture set and the branch and sign are part of a Spellbinders set. I am delighted to say that these are all Never Before Used Schtuff so fit Darnell's 7th Challenge perfectly.

Right, time's up, something fluffy is looking at me in a hungry way so I had better
go and oblige!! Enjoy your Sunday (and Monday if you are in the UK and not working!!).

Hope to be back again soon xx

Winter Woodland

Hello crafters and for those of you in the UK, I hope you are having an enjoyable Bank Holiday Weekend. We had scary thunder and lightning yesterday, (nowhere near as bad as those poor people in Poland) and a lovely day today so I hope tomorrow will bring more of the same.

Unusual for me to be here on a Sunday night but Martin has an early start so is tucked up in bed and Connor (having taken his last exam for his degree) and Laura have rented a holiday cottage in Lincolnshire for a week, so I have no interruptions at all and made this...

I snapped up this stamp set when Waltzing Mouse Stamps announced that they were closing their doors and cased a card from their inspiration gallery for this one. The stamped elements were coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut and added to the stamped tree background. Not my usual style but I was really pleased. My Cheery Lynne Poinsettia die set had an outing and the ribbon and perl brad were in my stash.

I was inspired by these challenges

A Gem Of A Challenge - Weather (I chose snowy winter)
Winter Wonderland - Pearls and Ribbon

Thank you for stopping by xx

Favourite Season

Hello and welcome!! Hope you are well today.

It's time for a new challenge at As You Like It Challenge

Your favourite Season (remember to tell us why)

mine is......

Winter!! Simply because 'tis the season to be jolly fa la la la la la la la la!!
I can't help but love Christmas, even though the men in the house think I'm obsessive!! Woe betide anyone who dares to mess with my tree and don't even start me on my dressers!! I love the preparation, anticipation and the lovely feeling I get from conjuring up memories of Christmases past both when I was small and those shared with our Sons when they were little too.

Here are a couple of suitably wintery cards

While I was getting "inky" with my penguin background last week I continued the trend and made these two.  Simply embossed bases with navy blue mats. The stamp was free with the current  Crafters Companion Inspiration Magazine and they were both stickled for a bit of frosty glitz. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted's  Most Wonderful set.

Apologies for the rubbish photo, I blame the weather, although it looks like the damp warmth is about to be replaced by icy chills here in the UK - rather like my cards then!!

Wherever you are in the world stay warm OR keep cool!! xx

See you soon xx

Winter wishes

Hello folks. Hopefully you have had an enjoyable weekend. We were given an "Afternoon Tea" for a gift last Christmas and finally got around to enjoying the experience yesterday...yum...after which we walked it off around Clark's Village and managed not to spend any money, except in the Lindt shop!!
Mucking out burned off those calories this morning!!

Anyway, I am here to share an easel card with a difference, as on first glance it's a gatefold card.

However, when you open it up, it does this!!

Now, I was one of the very lucky winners of Darnell's most recent NBUS Challenge and this is the first outing for one of the stamp sets I chose from Bunny Zoes. I love this TGF set which has lots of components (and will think of you whenever I use it Darnell!!) . I coloured the polar bear with SN pencils for a change to contrast the pretty LOTV papers. The snowflakes were made using Tonic Studios Forever Moments clay and a push out cutter that I picked up in the cake decorating section in Hobbycraft. When they were dry I used dries clear glue and sprinkled tons of glamour dust on the top.
I think I could have put a few more snowflakes inside but thought perhaps it wouldn't tie quite so neatly. Anyway there are some challenges that suit this card so I am off to play at

Papertake Weekly - All about the base
Crafting by Designs - Get ready for Christmas October
A snowflake's promise #8 - Anything Christmas/Winter
Fantasy Stampers #48 - Animal Antics
Polkadoodles #43 - Add sparkle, bling or glitter
 (glitter on snowflakes and scene)

Right, I'm off to catch up on last night's Casualty while I can have full control of the remote as Connor and Laura are dogsitting again!!

Have a lovely evening xx

A very sparkly Christmas

When I've had the chance I have been rummaging through my old digi stamps and came upon a folder full of Wee Stamps images, I'd forgotten how gorgeous they are. Anyway this is what I did with the delightful  Lullaby.

She was coloured with Promarkers to match the LOTV papers. My fabulous stepper die put in an appearance together with a new snowflake punch ready for the festive makes!! Lashings of stardust (which sadly made the ink run a bit but don't look too closely!!) and there you have it!!

Perfect for these challenges

Allsorts #329 - Sparkle
Winter Wonderland - A Christmas Fairy
Christmas Stamping All Year Long #56 - Lots of Texture or Layers
The Craft Barn - Christmas Snow/Snowflakes

Thanks for stopping by today, your comments are much appreciated xx

Snowflakes....

....is the August theme at

and boy did I struggle with this one, I had a complete mental block and had to resort to going through all my Christmas paper stacks, stamps and CD roms for inspiration which I, eventually, found in the form of an unknown snowflake stamp kit which, I think, was bought from QVC years and years ago!!

As is so often the case, what should have been a really quick card took ages to put together but, that said, I am delighted with the result and it was lovely to get the embossing powder out again.

This shot, amazingly, shows the mirri board, embossing and sheen on the pearl card banner really well. The card base is from Craftwork Cards Chalkboard Christmas.

Some Challenges

Dream Valley #111 - Embossing - Wet or Dry
Crafting For all seasons #106 - Christmas in July
Simply Papercraft #10 - Anything Goes

Have a good weekend xx

Christmas Maggie

I decided to stray from the norm and try my hand at colouring on kraft so I stamped the sweetheart that is Maggie onto Neenah Desert Storm and coloured her with SN pencils.

I am really happy with the result and will definitely be doing it again. The papers are Carta Bella Winter Fun which was one of the first Christmas paper pads I bought and can still get digitally which is fabulous!!  For a change I have added some pretty flowers and the sentiment was stamped on a banner die cut.

Here are the challenges I am entering

Allsorts #320 - Add a banner or flag
Pile it on #78 - Christmas in July
Craft Your Passion #271 - Always Anything Goes
Polkadoodles #29 - 2 or more papers
My Time To Craft #300 - Christmas in July
Crafty Boots - Christmas in July
OLLCB #185 - Christmas in July
The Sugar Bowl #126 -  Anything Goes

Wishing you a good Tuesday xx
