Cute, Cute, Cute!!

Hello everyone and welcome to my blog today. I hope you are all well and getting into the swing of Christmas prep.

It's a two in one visit from me as both of the new Cutie Pie Challenges are launching today

The theme is CUTE and CUDDLY CHRISTMAS

for which I have coloured yet another adorable image from Amanda Jayne Designs, Christmas Crackers

It is the card I made for Jackson's First Christmas. The penguin was coloured, using Promarkers, to compliment the Doodlebug Designs paper pad (Frosty Friends, I think, it's very old and treasured!!). The sentiment was done in word and trimmed with silver mirri.

Over at our sister challenge

we are CUTE & CHRISTMASSY

Here I used a super cute decoupage that was a magazine freebie many moons ago. I paired it with some gorgeous glittery card that I die cut with another old item from my stash, the Let it Snow cut out die which, I think, might be Memory Box.

If you are a fan of cute you can enter both!! Looking forward to seeing what you make.

See you later in the week, until then take care xx

Add aTag

Hello lovely people of blogland. I hope that you had an enjoyable weekend and are fully refreshed for the week ahead and whatever it may bring.

I had such an enjoyable time colouring the little fellow I am sharing with you today. He is Pig with Butterfly by Lee Holland who is kindly sponsoring our latest challenge at

Tags are the order of the day and I decided to make a tag shaped card blank using a nesting set from Crafters Companion which actually doesn't appear to be available any more.

The blank was cut in kraft card and then I used the smaller dies to make a lovely layered topper. I love to use chocolate brown with pink and while rummaging in my stash found some gorgeous brown glittered card that, if memory serves me, came with plain and embossed dots too in ten different colours. I am sure it came from Create and Craft many years ago...hmmm...must hunt out the other colours they must be somewhere!! Anyway, I digress, the little piggy was coloured with Promarkers and I found some complimentary ribbons and pearls to made an embellishment bundle. It won't stand up because it's top heavy but never mind, it looks so pretty and once I add the insert it should balance.
I hope you will play along.

Have a good day xx

Raining Cats & Dogs Cutie Pie style

Hello, hello. Hope you are all doing okay. This is such an exciting week for me, and I bet I am not alone ladies...I have an appointment for a haircut on Thursday, long overdue. I have had a little hack at it myself and even had Martin trim the back for me!! I can't wait!! Aside from that we won't be rushing to the shops just yet.

Anyway, it's Raining Cats and Dogs at The Cutie Pie Challenge so I am here to share my cute card and to encourage you to play along.

I had a lovely time going through my rubber stamps and actually found quite a few cats and dogs and eventually decided upon this Crafters Companion cutie.

I am a big fan of Jules' sketches and couldn't wait to try out one of her new rectangle designs here. I used #1 and turned it on its side. Thank you for sharing these!! I wanted an eyecatching colour combo so went with a shocking pink check paper from Your Next Stamp and a navy spot from Bo Bunny. I coloured (with Promarkers) on desert storm kraft card for a change and was really delighted with the outcome. On reflection, I could have gone a bit darker with the grey pussy cat but hey ho!!

Wishing you a happy week. See you soon xx

Cutie Pie Bunnies or Blooms

Spring is in the air for sure. We have catkins on our hedges, daffs aplenty in our paddock, the mornings and nights are noticeably lighter and the theme at The Cutie Pie Challenge is

Bunnies or Blooms (Easter or Spring)

I have gone along the Spring route and used Flower Pot Girl from our fabulous new sponsor Hetty Clare where you can find some gorgeous designs including, wait for it, ponies!!

This is my Mum's Mothers Day Card, I followed a tutorial by Sam Calcott to make this larger stepper card using some (very old) dot embossed card and a lovely ditsy print paper from a Doodlebug Designs pad. The sweet image was coloured with Promarkers, as usual. It is 5x7 inches jn size so I will be making a matching envelope.

Looking forward to seeing your cute cards.

See you soon xx

Hearts and Flowers

Hello and welcome...it's Cutie Monday again and this time we are sharing Hearts and Flowers, you can choose Romance if you like or even Mothers' Day, it's up to you.

I have gone with a Valentine. It's not usually a big event in our house but with last year being CRAP a write off I am feeling like spreading the love so made this for Hubby, using an image from our brand, spanking, new Sponsor Just Me Digital, whose images I absolutely adore. I used Pig Valentine and coloured the little cutie with Promarkers, and used a snippet of MFT paper ( a very important snippet, to find out why, read more HERE).

I hope that you will join us, we are a friendly bunch!!

You know I said that muffins and sweet treats were off the menu, well, I lied. I went and fell off the wagon and accidentally made iced buns...you're welcome!!

See you soon lovely people xx

Cownt your Blessings

Hello everyone. I have a cute little number to share with you today, it is my DT piece for

where the theme is Layer it up.

I used a lovely image from our sponsor, Bugaboo, and coloured it with Flexmarkers.

Dovecraft Garden Party papers were used for the layers that I matted on to black card.

Hope you are all adjusting, once more, to the current changes to our lives. We had a visit from Mollie Rose yesterday who brought Daddy and Mummy with her, of course. It was lovely to spend some time in the garden with them and Bowie and Bumble were pleased to see their little playmate, although it had been so long Mollie was a bit worried by their enthusiastic welcome!! I hope those of you that are able have had some catch ups with your nerest and dearest.

That's all for now folks. We hope to see you share your layers with us here.

Cute and Cuddly Animals

Morning/Afternoon/Evening All!! I hope you had a good weekend and are raring to go and deal with whatever the week has in store for you. My word what a horrendous day yesterday...scary winds and lashing rain, not my favourite especially when sheets blow off the barn roof!! My bonkers Husband would not wait until better weather on Tuesday, so after I retrieved the missing sheet he went up onto said roof in 60mph winds and replaced it, bless his heart!! Wills was not very impressed but at least he, Surprise and all their friends are warm, dry and safe again!!

On a brighter note I have a cute and cuddly bunny to share today as it is the start of the next challenge at The Cutie Pie Challenge. Our sponsor is Bugaboo and I used Bunny for this card...

The picture looks a little washed out but in reality the colours are much deeper. the pretty papers are from Marianne Designs Peach and Mint Collection. Bunny was, of ourse, coloured with Promarkers and the Hunkydory Moonstone flower dies got another airing.

I really hope you will join us this month with your cute and cuddly animals!!

Christmas Cuties

Hello and welcome.

Today is the start of a new challenge at

and unsurprisingly it is Christmas Cuties!!

Here is my card using another of my LOTV rubber stamps...I really should use them more often. Perhaps that should be my New Year Resolution!!

This card came about as the result of a Christmas card swap on the We Love Lili of the Valley Facebook Group. I made this for the lady I was paired with. I looked back to my early blogging days for inspiration and decided to replicate this one here

Again, I used Nitwits Collection papers this time Patchwork Christmas, slightly different to the original card but as they mix and match so beautifully, it works very time.

We are due some horrendous gales over the next day or two so I am not looking forward to that at all. Fingers crossed it will not live up to expectation...or is that just wishful thinking!?

Stay safe wherever you are in the world xx

Add an animal

Happy Monday everyone!! After the manic last few weeks I have had I am so glad that this one has arrived as I am on annual leave!! Chance to recharge the batteries hopefully and catch up with friends and family and perhaps some Christmas shopping!!

I am sharing my Cutie Pie DT card today where the theme is ADD A CUTE ANIMAL. I am still in full on Christmas production so chose Highland Christmas from our Sponsor Di's Digis.

Oh bother...I have just noticed the camera mark on Christmas!! Never mind, it can be our secret!!

I wish you a good week whatever you are up to and I will see you on Thursday with another Christmas card. Until then take care xx

Cutie Pie Challenge

Hello. It's a cute one from me today...no change there then!!

is ANYTHING GOES, as long as it's cute.

This cute little lady is Winnie from our sponsor

Polkadoodles Ltd

I used Promarkers to colour her to match the pretty papers which are from one of my many "Julie Loves" sets. As usual the design is quite simple but I found myself with a large white area, top right, so used my companion die and stamp set from Whimsy, which filled the space perfectly. The "everything" was heat embossed in white.

Have a good week xx

Cutie Favourite Colour Combo

Edit....Oh my days I am going to be sacked... I am so in Holiday mode  that I forgot to schedule this post...whoops!! Better late than never!!

Hello friends, hope you had a restful weekend and are refreshed for the week ahead. I am hoping you will have time to join in at

where we would love to see your favourite colour combinations on a cute card. Using an image from our sponsor, Bugaboo, I made this sweet pink and black card.

I coloured her with Promarkers and used scraps of paper. I am rather partial to pink and black together and have used this combo many times actually... some here, here and here if you would like a trip back in time!!

So that is me for today. See you later in the week with more pink I think.

 Until then take care xx

Ribbons & Bows

Hello everyone. So good to have you here on this lovely Monday morning!! Lovely because I am on Annual Leave this week...yay!! Not any firm plans as yet but Hubby is taking a few days at the end of the week so we will see what happens.

As this goes live though I will be sat in the Dentist chair having my annual check up. Not my favourite thing to be doing. I object to being asked  on every visit"do you floss and do you use an electric toothbrush?". I have been taking care of my teeth for 50 odd years thank you very much!! Rant over!! 🤪😀

Anyway, I digress, I am here to encourage you to come and join The Cutie Pie Challenge
where our theme is Ribbons and Bows, featuring a cute image of course.

I am still in LOTV mode. I loved colouring this little fella with my Promarkers, although I should probably have grounded him, he rather looks like he is floating!!. The papers are from a pad that came from The Range and my ribbon and bow take the form of seam binding.

That's all for today. I hope you have a good week, whatever is in store xx

Winter layers with The Cutie Pies

It's all about layering up at

I have layered my cardstock and my sweet little bunny rabbit is wearing a lovely layer too!!

Cute huh?!!

My Hubby, being 55 years old, recently had an invitation for a Colonoscopy as part of the new NHS initiative to catch any bowel cancer in it's early stages...bear with, there is a point to this tale!! He is very good about things like this ( me working in the NHS also helps!!) so we duly toddled off to Dorset County Hospital for this procedure, which was normal. While he was there I took myself off to The Range and, my word, I had a ball and bought half a dozen christmas paper pads, one of which I used here!!

I love the unusual black background and it goes perfectly with the little tree light embellishments that were in my stash. The circular sentiment is from a very old LOTV set which is sadly starting to perish, I managed to pull a couple apart when I was taking them off the backing :0(  I heat embossed the stamped sentiment with white powder for a bit more texture.

So, that is me for today. I hope you will join us with your cute image and it doesn't actually have to be a Christmas card, winter will be just as welcome, as long as it's as cute as can be of course!!

I hope you have a good week. See you soon xx

Going Girly at The Cutie Pie Challenge

Hello peeps. How are you?
Well, I hope and if not so good I wish you better days ahead.

We are Going Girly at

I used an adorable LOTV digi and coloured it with my Promarkers.

The sentiment is from a LOTV rubber set, which, I stupidly bravely stamped direct to fill an empty space!! Thankfully, it worked!!

I hope the week has good things in store for you.

See you soon xx

Sporting Cuties

Hello friends, hope you are well and had a good weekend. We took a drive down to the coast for a spot of breakfast and a walk which we enjoyed. Anyway, today is the start of the new challenge at

The theme is SPORTING CUTIES and I used this sweet image from LOTV getting ready to tack up her pony.

I used Tonic scalloped dies for the card base (and layers) to make a rocker card for a change.

Speaking of ponies...here is Surprise tucking into her current favourite thing...ice lollies!! Mint tea with carrot and apple. Martin was horrified when he noticed the first one in the freezer!!

She might be a little bit disappointed not to get more as
I don't think the temperatures are going to peak again any time soon because yay...we have had rain and lots of it. Looks like the rain dancing worked!!

I look forward to seeing your Sporting Cuties.

Thank you for your visit xx

Cutie Pie BINGO!!

Hello everyone.

Eyes down, look in...it's BINGO at the Cutie Pie Challenge

Here is my cutie using the middle row - buttons, ribbon and die cut

I have been trying to use more of my stash lately and in this case coloured the sweet stamped image with my Lyra Rembrandt pencils. I used the stamp packaging for inspiration, colour wise, and was reasonably satisfied with the result. Oops I have just noticed that I didn't finish cutting the tails of the kite...never mind!! Blue is a colour that I don't really use, except for Christmas cards, so that stretched my creativeness a little too.

That's me for today. See you soon xx

Spring Cuties

Hello, Hello!! I hope you had a good weekend. I have that "Monday feeling" but the rate at which the year is flying by it will soon be the weekend again so never mind!!

It is time for the next challenge at

and we would love to see your cards showing cute spring characters.
I used Spring Friends from our sponsor Bugaboo, and you can't get more spring than lambs and bunnies!!

They were coloured with Promarkers to match the pretty LOTV papers
(now retired). I gave the bunny a fluffy chest using flowersoft.

Well that is me for today. Hope you have a good week xx

January Blues Cutie Pie

I am thrilled to be here today with the first challenge of the year for

The Cutie Pie Challenge

It's a seasonal theme with January Blues. Our sponsor Pink Gem Designs supplied us with an image and I chose Chloe in her cable jumper!!

I "tweaked" one of Jules' latest sketches (thank you for these, I get so much inspiration from you when my own has gone walkabout!!). My cable embossing folder came in handy and I even raided my ribbon stash for a perfectly coordinated bow. I rarely use blue,  but was delighted with the end result and might not shy away from it quite so much in the future!!

There is much excitement today as Mollie Rose is celebrating her first Birthday...yes...one whole year...we can hardly believe it. She stood up unaided yesterday so it's not going to be long before she is walking!! It doesn't seem possible!!

I hope that you have a good week and I will see you soon xx

Stars and Snowflakes

Welcome to a new week and a new challenge at

The theme is Stars and/or Snowflakes. I made use of one of my Julie Loves kits from Craftwork Cards. I love this colour palette!! The digi image is an old one from Paper Nest Dolls, one of our sponsors.

As you can see, a really simple card.

I hope that you will manage to snatch a minute or two, during this busy time of year, to join us. We can't promise mince pies and mulled wine but a warm welcome is always available!!

See you soon friends xx
