Love to Bake

Hello friends. I hope the week has been kind to you and that you are all well.

I have a really sweet image from All Dressed Up called Love to Bake

She's a reall sweetie and was a joy to colour to compliment another of my pretty Julie Loves Kits.

I found the meshy stuff in my stash and even added some sequins that matched too. I hope I have inspired you to join us at

it's always Anything Goes just as long as your card is hand coloured.

While on the subject of baking have a look at these...

...I had marzipan left from my Christmas cake so, as you do, I asked the lovely lady in my telephone what to do with left over marzipan and she gave me this recipe. Honestly I am not a big fan of marzipan but they are delicious and I have made several different versions depending on what dried fruit I have in the cupboard. Our favourite batch contained a tub of glace cherries!!

Enjoy!!

See you soon xx

Little Butterfly Girl

Hello friends, lovely to see you here this Friday morning. It is time for me to share another DT piece for

where the theme is always Anything Goes as long as you share a card with a hand coloured image.

Our sponsor this time is All Dressed Up and I have coloured the pretty Little Butterfly Girl.

I used Promarkers to match the Nitwits paper, some coordinated sequins and sparkly wings finished it off perfectly. I stepped out of my comfort zone with this one as I rarely use shades of purple and lavender, however, I was really pleased and gave myself a pat on the back for being so brave!!

I hope you are all well and coping with the social isolation. I think Mother Nature is being kind to us here in the UK with fine, dry weather at last. I have been on Annual Leave this week (typical!!) and had an "essential" trip to our local Agricultural Merchant for animal feed so that was a change of scenery!!  Other than that I have no idea what day it is and have baked as though my life depends on it. We are going to be a little bit cuddlier, in this household, when we come out the other side!!

That's all for now. Keep well xx

GD at Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

Hello friends.

I am excited to be here today as a Guest Designer for

Colour Crazy Craft Challenge

This challenge is right up my street as it is all about colouring , which I love...when I have the time, it seems these days!! Anyway the sponsor is All Dressed Up, a shop that I rarely visit ( but will be doing so more often!!), and I chose to use Christmas Robins and did this...

Those cute robins were coloured with my Promarkers and I chose Dovecraft's Little Red Robin papers to match. Nuvo glitter drops Ruby Slippers provided the blobs in the corners ( sorry Sue for borrowing your word, but I can't remember the technical term!!). Good old LOTV stamps for the sentiments and a couple of little bells to finish off.

Hope you have a good weekend. Ahead of that I have a visit to the dentist for a check up and after that my car is booked in for it's MOT. Fingers crossed it won't be too expensive!!

See you soon xx

Five of a kind, Cutie style

Hello lovely people, welcome to Monday and another new challenge at

This time the theme is

5 of a kind...simple just include five of something on your cute card.

Here's mine...with five flowers and gems

I used an image from our sponsors All Dressed Up that I coloured with Promarkers to match the pretty papers that I found lurking on my desktop in a long forgotten folder. The finishing touch was a coordinating seam binding ribbon and, of course, five punched flowers and gems.

You have three weeks to join in so see you there if you are a fan of cute!!

Speaking of cute, here is a piccie of the hairy kids!!

N.B NO ANIMAL WAS ALLOWED ON THE FURNITURE DURING THE TAKING OF THIS PHOTOGRAPH!!

Have a good week everyone and thanks for sharing your day with me xx

So Fairy Cute

Happy Monday everyone. Hope your weekend was a good one. We had lots of sunshine here in Dorset UK and it was so warm that Surprise had her first days out naked...and came in covered in mud. She thinks she's doing me a favour because mud = grooming and it's quite a workout!!

Anyway, less waffling and the reason I am here.

It's new challenge day at

new style blog badge

and the theme is

So Fairy Cute

Here's what I did using an image from our sponsor All Dressed Up

She is called Little Flower Fairy and was coloured to match the fantastic Nitwits papers. I dug out an old Martha Stewart punch for a pretty lacy border and found  perfectly matched ribbon and cardstock for the mats. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol pens for a change and was really pleased with the result.

Looking forward to seeing you there, remember that your image must be cute though!!

A cuddle makes it better

It's been a while since I coloured an All Dressed Up image and thought I would support the lovely Lucy in her new permanent post over there. So, as promised Lucy here is my entry...

...and the cuddle is for you too!!

I also challenged myself to have a stab at a bit of "my style" shabbiness for a change and if duffing up the edges of the paper, adding pearls and seam binding hit the mark then, by jove, I think I've nailed it!! (Comments and suggestions are welcome here!!!). I coloured her with SN pencils and blending solution and the final touch was an LOTV stamped sentiment which I cut out and mounted with foam pads on to a sadly neglected MFT die cut doily. Ooh and I blended milled lavender DI around the edges of everything.

Floral overload

Hello my crafty friends, another week upon us and I hope yours is set to be a good one.

Yesterday I had a bit of a tidy up in the work room and in doing so found flowers, lots and lots of them from past visits to The Ribbon Girl and Wild Orchid Crafts. I have a "thing" about postage and don't usually embellish to the nth degree unless asked to. Well as it's officially early spring here in the UK I thought I might have a go at a flowery fluffy card and this is what happened...

I already had the base made up (stitched and everything!!) using a First Edition Pad (SNAP Asha!!) that I had distressed with Weathered Wood ink. The image is from All Dressed Up's Three Little Autumn Girls set and I coloured her to match the papers using Pro/Flexmarkers. I die cut her using Majestic Elements Labels 25 and popped it on Floral Ovals. There is also some lace which I edged with pearls and a TH pin holding the sentiment. Ooh and voile tied into a bow, with a pearly brad and dried stuff behind the flowers.
Phew what a lot of ingredients!! Anyway I am really rather delighted with the result so don't be surprised if you see more of this girly goodness in the future!!
