Flourishes September New Release Sneak Peek - Day 2

Holiday Topiaries

Welcome to Day 2 of our fabulous September release week! Today both of our Friends of Flourishes Team and our Design Team will be showcasing a wonderful new stamp set created by our beloved artist Marcella Hawley. Marcella has packed this beautiful 4x6 stamp set called "Holiday Topiaries" with an array of beautiful holiday decorated greenery and 3 seasonal sentiments to match their holiday vibe. This sweet holiday stamp set will surely make an appearance on your homemade cards, handmade gifts, tags and more this season!

We are also combining the Flourishes Timeless Tuesday for today's sneak peek!

The Timeless Tuesday Challenge this week is...

"Make a Good Impression" - Incorporate dry embossing somewhere on your card or project. It could be an embossing folder, stencils, or even a household item for your embossing....just make sure you "Make a Good Impression"! (FTTC237)

Here is my card using Holiday Topiaries :

No coloring, no problem! :) Marcella's illustrations are already beautiful enough with just outlines. I used the embossing folder to give some texture on the main image panel. I also embossed the elegant frame design on the magenta card base. I designed the card with this magenta and white only to keep it clean. It is not usual Christmas color combo but everybody likes to receive something different from now and then, don't we? :)

Supplies:
Holiday Topiaries
Classic White cardstock, Color Made Easy cardstock - Candy Pink
Memento - Lilac Posies
CME ribbon - Candy Pink/Festive Fuchsia, white pearls
Spellbinders dies, embossing folders

Timeless-Tuesday-New-Logo

We are also teaming up with Friends of Flourishes Team for this week's Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC228)!!
Deborah is your hostess this week and she is challenging to use Acetate anywhere in your project or card . That's right, it's time to dust off those clear pieces of "paper" and create something fun and unique!

Here is my card using Dahlias set...

As you see, I used my acetate sheet for the scalloped lace square layer and the eyelet border. I hardly use the acetate sheets but they give the interesting look and texture to the creations. I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored the dahlias with Copic markers and fuss cut around the image to place on the corner of the sentiment mat. The rest of the card was designed with Classic White cardstock, Classic Black cardstock, CME Candy Pink cardstock and Carta Bella So Noted paper pad. To finish off, I embellished with dark rose pearls.

AND...here's one way to win this gorgeous new stamp set for your collection...

One of the designer from both of our Flourishes Finest Design Team AND Friends of Flourishes Team is today's Mystery Blogger!

FLLC Glamour Girls and FTTC219!!

Happy Tuesday and hello Flourishes Fans!
We have a special treat for you today because we are kicking off the festivities for Day 1 of our Flourishes May Release Sneak Peeks  and we have teamed up with the Friends of Flourishes Team to play along with the Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC219) this week. Want a little peek at the set we’ll be showcasing today?

Our Glamour Girls stamp collection, illustrated by Lauren Pope, is a fabulous collection of lovely ladies and some classic "girl talk" sentiments perfect for all those charming gals in your life.  This classy stamp set arrives just in time for Mother's Day!  What more can you ask for?

Now on to our challenge… Denise Marzec is our Timeless Tuesday Challenge hostess this week and for her challenge, we want to see you use some "BLACK ACCENTS" on your card or project.  Let's see you use some black matting, black die-cut images, black ribbon, or try the ever-popular "chalkboard" technique that's popping up all over the blogging world.

Here is my "black accents" card :)

As you see, I added some black accents on my card. The color of black works perfect for the image, don't you think? The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. I die-cut the black mat and sentiment mat with Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole die set. The black mat was dry embossed and directly inked with white pigment ink. I also stamped the one of the sentiments on the CME Crocus cardstock and it was brushed over lightly with white acrylic paint. To finish off, I dressed the card with the black accents :)

The rest of supplies: Classic White cardstock, designer paper, black rhinestones, ribbon, beaded hat pin, decorative edger, embossing folder

Today we have both our Flourishes Finest Design Team AND our Friends of Flourishes Team sharing their "Black Accents" inspirations with you!  Take a moment and leave some love on all of our designers' blogs.

Come and hop along and visit with all of our super talented Flourishes designers and join us in our challenge this week for a chance at winning our ENTIRE new May release!!  Yup... that's right... you could win our entire new release just by playing along.  Check out the Flourishes Blog for further challenge details.  Good luck everyone!

FTTC213 - Sew Perfect!

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~
We are in our spring break and things are a little hectic with both kids at home! I hope I can have some time to relax later this week :P

It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC213)!! It is my turn to host and I am challenging you to use any sewing, stitching technique into your project. Don't like to sew?? Faux stitches are also welcome! Please visit Flourishes Blog for more information about the challenge.

For my card, I used Stitched For You set. My sewing skill is very limited. I can sew only straight or zig-zag, lol. I really need to bring my sewing machine to different projects around my house, :P

I mainly used Classic White cardstock for the card and some leftover designer papers for the strips. Then I sewed them with sewing machine. The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copic markers. The frame and sentiment piece were die cut with Perfectly Pierced dies (Victorian Ovals & Classic Window).

The rest of supplies: Memento Rich Cocoa, Cantaloupe, Spellbinders die

Copic Markers Collections:

Even though I won't be in the FTTC challenge every Tuesdays, I'd like to continue to support the challenge and play along when I can.

Thank you for stopping by.

FTTC211 - Green

Hello and happy Tuesday everyone~
It is time for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC211)!! Deborah is challenging us to incorporate "Green" into your card/project. Please visit Flourishes blog for more information about the challenge.

My first thoughts about "Green" was St. Patrick's Day and my son (he loves green!). So, I used my favorite St. Patty's stamp set, Irish Blessings. The image was stamped with Memento tuxedo black and colored with Copic markers on the classic white cardstock. The image mat was die-cut with Perfectly Pierced Classic Hologlass die. I decorate the inside of the card using the same stamp set. It has perfect stamps & sentiments to do the job! :)

The rest of supplies: CME Pistachio cardstock, designer papers, Memento cantaloupeyellow lace trim, CME Moss Green ribbon, tea rose, Spellbinders Fancy Tags 3 die, decorative edge punch, embossing folder
