SNSDC6–Father’s Day Card

SONY DSC

Hello and happy Friday everyone~

I have one card for Sweet ‘N Sassy Digi Challenge (SNSDC6). Father’s day is getting close and this week’s challenge for you is to create a card for the Father’s day! Please visit SNS Digi Challenge blog for more detail about the challenge. Can’t wait to see your creation!

SONY DSC

I think I’ve made enough father’s day cards this week to stock up for next year, lol. It’s been so fun to play those masculine colors though :) I used Cocoa’s Latte Digi for the image and one of the sentiments from Father’s Day Sentiments Digi Set. The part of the image was paper pieced and the rests were colored with Copic markers. Can you see the dimension of the image? :) To finish off the card, I tied with the baker’s twine.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 107 clean (MMSC107).

Be sure to check other SNS Digi Blog Design Team for more inspiration!

InStyle Stamps Guest Designer :)

SONY DSC

Hello everyone~

I have an exciting news to tell you!! I was asked to be the guest designer of InStyle Stamps for a month of February!! Who couldn’t say “No” to their cute stamps? They just came back from their first CHA and the new stamps are releasing this Friday!! I can hardly wait (to get all of them, lol)!! Be sure to check InStyle Blog for the sneak peeks, challenges and the DT’s wonderful creations!!

Since this is my first post as the GDT, I decided to play with their Sketch Challenge (ISSSC02). You can check all of InStyle current challenges on the side bar of InStyle Stamps Blog.

SONY DSC

The stamp I used is called Pretty Posies and the set will be available on Friday, Feb 5th!! I also used my color combination from The Color Throwdown 127 (CTD127). I colored the image with Copic markers and sponged the circle mat with brown ink. Then I just followed the sketch and design the card with the coordinated designer papers and cardstock. To finish off, I embellsihed with ribbon, button and blue pearls.

The next card was used another image from Pretty Posies!! I colored the image with Copic markers again and sponged the oval mat with light blue ink. The colors are inspired of the word chipboard stickers. I embellished with the swirl rhinestones & rhinestone flowers and flower chipboard sticker to finish off the card. The sketch was based on the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge 88 (MMSC88 - the submission is closed) … I just changed placing the embellishments so that I can include the word stickers :)

I had so much fun with inking and coloring this cute girl from My Favorite Things. I used the sketch from another Midnight Madness Sketch Challnege (MMSC83) – fancy version…if you are following my blog, I’ve used MMSC sketches for the last three weeks :) This card can be perfect to send anytime during the winter – Valentine’s day! I had a little hard time to match the color with the girl’s outfit and bravo burgundy but I think it’s close enough ;)

Isn’t she so cute and groovy? My daughter is into peace signs and hippie style right now and my supply lists also started collecting the flower power theme :) The stamp image from My Favorite Things was colored with Copic markers and I stamped the sentiment from Flourishes right below the image. I also added the Stickles on the peace sign.

SONY DSC

This is the background paper that I designed with Peace Signs stamps from Inkadinkado. Gotta love stamping!!

For assembling the rest of elements, I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #82 (MMSC82)fancy version.

What do you think? I was not sure how I added the gray into the holiday theme card but I really love how it turned out! I used KSS Multi Step Winter Cardinals set and 3 Step Bells set for the word, “PEACE”. I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #84 (MMSC#84) …thank you, Pricilla for uploading all sketches for December at once. It really help me to create my cards before my vacation!

These are the steps I did for each image (all inks are Stampin’ Up!)

(Pine) 4th – basic gray, 3rd – chocolate chip, 2nd – always artichoke, 1st – old olive
