She Always Knew...

Hi everyone. It's been too long since I last posted here. Many of you may sympathise with the curse of the missing mojo. Mine's been gone so long, I think it may just have emigrated. So today's post from me is a little different....I bring you the adorable 'She Always Knew' stamp from Unity, not on a card....or even a scrapbook page....but just hanging about in my craft cupboard trying to help me find my missing mojo.

Here's the cute stamp (I call her 'Molly mojo' in my house):

And here she is searching for my mojo in my button jar...
 ...and art journal

So there you have it, if all else fails this little stamp set guarantees an hour of fun colouring the figure, cutting her out and creating your very own story board. She's perfect for bringing to life!

(Ps you can see how the story ended here)

Have a great Friday.

Roar!

The thing I REALLY love about stamps, is just how versatile they are. We can create cards...scrapbook pages...tags...wrapping paper...bookmarks... in fact we can pretty much use them for ANY project where an image is needed. For any of you who have dropped into my own blog, you may have seen a number of posts about Story Stones I have been making. Yes - stamps are also great for stones! And story telling. This week's favourite story stone is this cute little fellow from Unity's Mr Boy set:

Isn't he just adorable?!

He looks wonderful on birthday cards too!

I hope you enjoyed yesterday's blog hop.

Born to fly

Evening everyone! Friday afternoon has allowed some much needed craft time for me and I've had another play with the gorgeous Christy Tomlinson 'She Leaped' stamp. I've teamed it today with a sentiment from the Unity Store Kit 'Life Becoming' and my usual favourite.....lots of stitching!

She decided to leap

Good morning! What could be more appropriate this week than a stamp about LEAPing (that was a little leap year joke!). Emily has recently starting stocking the new and totally GORGEOUS Christy Tomlinson designs from Unity. These stamps are so beautiful, they flew off the shelves...but do not fear, more will be in stock soon.

I've used the 'She Leaped' stamp to create a journal page. The stamp is wonderfully large (my moleskin is 21x13cm) and so perfect for journalling. Here's my page - minus my text:

This was a mixed media project: paper piecing, acrylics, water colour pastels, ink spray, glossy accents, sizzix lettering and stamp embossing.

Have a happy Friday!

Love Yourself

Evening Everyone. I'm sharing with you a page from my daily art journal today (or a part of it at least!). I'm still mourning the loss of the gorgeous Suzi Blu stamps from Unity, so I've used another one from the range while you can still get them.

This one is 'Love Yourself':

I used acrylic paints to colour the image.

Emily is selling the remaining Suzi Blu stamps over at Make the Day Special for just £5.50 each. Head over to pick up a bargain. The range is perfect for journalling.

Have a great weekend,

La Friendship

Good morning all. Have you checked out Emily's latest sale in the Make The Day Special Shop? There are lots of great bargains to be had. To honour the sale, I have made a card using one of my favourite co-brand designers, Suzi Blu. The Unity Suzi Blu stamps are sadly being discontinued (boo) but the good news is that Emily is selling them at a reduced price (yay!). Once they're gone they're gone....

 Have a great Friday,

Love and stitches

In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I'm sharing with you an experimental card using a Unity Itty Bitty Stamp, some embroidery thread and a little love:

Stamp: Unity Itty Bitty Bella Blvd 'Family Tree'

I stamped on the fabric with Stazon and then embroided selected parts of the image.

Wishing you a happy Friday,

Put on Your Party Hats!

Hi Everyone! Today's share is a cute little birthday card:

Stamps: Unity Itty Bitty Happy Chick Birthday
and Ippity Party Hat Wishes

I used the chick stamp to repeat the image motive and added a different sentiment. I paper pieced the hats, coloured the chicks with promarkers and added some stithcing and glossy accents. Here's the sentiment that comes with the stamp:

Did you know that Emily is selling ALL of her ippity stock off at HALF price?! When it's gone, it's gone, so do head over to the ippity inspiration blog for details.

Have a great Friday!

Time for Thanks

Happy New Year Everyone!

I had a little rest over the Christmas break and have come back just in time for the thank you cards! I'm still obsessed with the 'Alphadots' stamp set from Paper Smooches, as you can see:

I combined the letters with coloured strips of card and matching buttons.

Hoping you all had lots to be thankful for over Christmas,

Let it snow!

Hi Everyone! Only two (ish) weeks left until Christmas! I'm not usually one for Christmas crafts, but this year the bug has finally caught up with me...

Here's a wall hanging I made using a combination of Make The Day Special stocked stamps:

 Stamps: The Cat's Pyjama's 'Sheepish'
My Cute Stamp's 'Snow Cute'
Paper Smooches 'Alphadot'

I started with some chipboard, painted it with acrylic paint and added some snowflakes with embossing powder. I coloured the image using promarkers and paperpieced the scarf and finally added the sentiment using embossing powder.

Have a great Friday!

Bee Happy

Don't worry...bee happy! Paper Smooches 'Perky Plants' set comes with a rather adorable little bee stamp, which I'm using today with Paper Smooches 'Alphadots':

I stamped the image on vellum and embossed with black powder. I added brads, ribbon, a spot of stitching and the sentiment.

Have a happy Friday!

Plant Smiles

Hi Everyone! I've spreading the Paper Smooches love again today....this time with the very fun 'Perky Plants' set:

I used promarkers to colour the image and added a touch of glossy accents to the petals. I then tied on an over-sized tag with the sentiment.

Have a happy Friday!

Christening

I needed to make a Christening card this week and realised that I didn't too many appropriate stamps to choose from. Fortunately, the versatility of the stamps Emily stocks meant I could rustle something up:

Stamps used: Paper Smooches 'Alphadot'
My Cute Stamp 'Night Owl'

Have a great weekend,
