Friendship Tag............

Hi there.......

She  here to show you my latest make...........

I have used a couple of Unity kits for my Tag........

My Quote came from 'The Right Words' and my gorgeous Butterfly and Key background are from the 'Key To Joy'  kit........

It's no secret that my favourite colour is Orange!!! Always makes me smile :-).......So I started with that as my base.........my favourite and most used Distress Ink colours were used for my base. I then stamped the Keys with Aged Mahogany. After making sure this was dry I ran it through my bug in one of my embossing folders.

I had half a Tag left from another make (don't ask!! I never throw anything away!!) this was already stamped and coloured so I used my gorgeous Butterfly and then glamour dusted him.....Don't like glitter, so this is great as it gives just a hint of bling!!

I just added some ribbon and Liquid Pearl blobs and squiggles!

Thanks for looking and I'll see you soon......

Unity tags

Hello, it's Jo here for my first post for a very long time having had a long break due to loss of mojo!!

I've been playing with distress inks today to make a couple of tags to share with you. I'm quite pleased with how they turned out and they may spur me on to make more!!

I used Unity stamps from Key to Joy and The Right Words.

Both tags were cut from scrap cardstock. I have a box full of tags ready cut in many different colours so I can just dip in when I need them but these were both originally cream.

I used various distress inks to colour the tags and then stamped the key background using distress ink.

The butterfly was stamped on to white cardstock and then coloured using Faber Castell Big Brush pens before being cut out.

The sentiment was also stamped on to white cardstock and then lightly tinted with distress inks. I needed to do a bit of masking with this one as some of the words are very close together and wouldn't cut out square.

For this one I used an old metal key that I painted with Vintaj paint and then used twine to hold it on the tag.

Thanks for visiting and I hope it's not too long until I'm back with more to share with you!!

Key To Joy!

Morning...
I have a Tag to show you today.
I made it with the Store Kit 'Key To Joy' available from Emily here
I made my 'usual' background! I stamped and embossed the background 'Keys' in White and then coloured the background with Adirondak Inks, water splattered and embossed again...This gives the Tag an almost 'plastic-y' feel!  I used the 'stitching' stamp around the edge and embossed again. I've stamped the sentiment and cut it out and stuck the words individually onto the Tag. The Key is a rusty old key which I have been saving knowning that it would be used on something! The Butterfly is made using shrink plastic.
There you have it! I hope you like it.
I'll hopefully catch up with you soon, though I'm not sure when....life is a bit hectic at the moment!

Thanks for looking.

You Are The Key!

Morning!
I have a Tag to share with you today....
It started life as...
I grabbed my Unity Store Kit, 'Key To Joy' available from Emily here and stamped the background stamp with my VersaMark pad and clear embossed....
and then grabbed a few inks...
and blended and water splattered until it looked a bit like this....
I then repeated the process using slightly different colours...
I used the first tag to punch some circles to use as flowers on my other Tag...
Until I ended up with this...
I stamped out of the word sayings and cut them and doodled a little black line round the individual words...A little twisted thin wire behind the flowers and I was done..
I hope you like it...
Thanks for looking and I'll see you again soon....

Stamping layout

Hello.

One of my biggest problems with stamping is that i cant stamp on my scrapbook pages successfully.

I think that has changed now.

I made this layout for a challenge and the base was butterflies.

Not having any paper that matched i made my own.
Ive used unity and ippity stamps.

I used the butterfly from the "Key to joy" store kit.

Stamped randomly in the same colour as the card.

Then used stamps from Ippity set "the best" and "here and now"

Oh before i go have you seen the new ranges at Make the day special?

Now stocking Simply Betty stamps.

And Paper smooches available to pre order.

Also if your looking for a bargain check out the August sale.

Thanks for looking.

3 simply adorable kids.... (& a reminder)

Today I have a layout to share with you using various Unity stamps. I used thick watercolour paper as a base and used Neocolor II watercolour crayons to create the coloured background.

I used a floral stamp from Unity's "Quiet Essence" set (here) to stamp on more watercolour paper and then used watercolour pencils to colour it before cutting it out and layering with foam pads.

The "it's all worth it" stamp is from the Unity set "One Precious Life" (here).

The fern stamp is from the Unity set "Moments in Bloom" (here).

The "blessings" stamp is from the Unity set "The Right Words" (here).

The faux stitching is from the Unity set "Key to Joy" (here)

The "simply adorable" and butterfly are from  old Unity sets.

Materials used:
watercolour paper, Caran D'Ache Neocolor II crayons and watercolour pencils, black fineliner
black Stazon ink, black Versafine ink, Unity stamps (as above)
American Crafts Thickers
DCWV rub-on.

Thanks for visiting!!

Krafty keys

I've been playing with the My Cute Stamp set - Keys and my kraft cardstock and have  acouple of cards to share with you.

The first card uses a stamped key as an embellishment. I used a rub-on to make the frame  and then added stickers for the sentiment. The key was stamped on to kraft cardstock and then cut out and threaded on faux suede thonging:

Materials used:
Kraft cardstock, Fancy Pants rub-on, DCWV stickers
My Cute Stamp - keys, black Versafine ink
faux suede thong

For my second card I cut a freehand heart from kraft cardstock and used various coloured inks to stamp the keys on it before using a black fineliner to outline the keys. For the sentiment I used a Unity stamp from the set Key To Joy available here:

Materials used:
Kraft cardstock
My Cute Stamps - Keys, Unity stamps - Key To Joy, Memento inks, black Versafine ink
Promarker pen, fineliner
ribbon

Family Memories

Today I have a layout to share which uses stamps from the Unity July 2010 store kit which is currently "on sale" in the shop here. This is such a versatile set for cards and scrapbooking so get it while you can!!

I started by stamping the key background stamp on lightly patterned paper and used this as a background layer on my layout. I layered various papers before stamping the quote over the left hand side and then the sewing border at the bottom. The title was stamped by masking off some of the "Family Friends and memories" stamp. I then stamped the butterfly on to textured cardstock and then added a hint of colour using my long neglected chalks.

Materials used:
Papermania cardstock, MAMBI Scrappy Chic papers
Unity July store kit, Memento brown ink, Versamagic chalk ink
K & Co die-cuts, Deluxe Designs chalk, cotton lace.
