I needed a little gift real quick, so I used some watercolor paper I had treated with  Brusho (already in my stash) and some of the Viva Las Vegastamps from the Banksy line, love them so much ♥

Box with a loop

Hi, today I'd like to share easy instructions to create a fun little box, which has the advantage that you can use it over and over again, since it's not glued together, just held by the loop.

I started out with two strips of cardstock measuring 2 x 9". I scored them at 1½ and 3½" on both sides and applied distress ink in various colours (Bundled Sage, Stormy Sky and Spun Sugar).

I used my Tag punch from Stampin' Up on both sides, this is what it looks like now:

For a bit more texture I stamped the fishing net with "Bundled Sage" Distress Ink on all sides.

I stamped with Ranger Perfect Medium and used the Stampendous "Detailed White" Embossing powder. The images are from the Rubber Dance Stamps sets "Something Fishy" and "New Retro Beach"

I added some Rub Ons.

 

After adhering one strip to the other I made the loop from a piece of Chiffon.

Starting from the inside I pulled the loop through one of the openings and went to the opposite side to do the same followed by the other two.

 

As you can see, this is very easy and you can open and close the smart little box again and again.

Time to light up the candles!

Hello everyone! 

Today I want to show you how to create a little holder for a Tea light with Rubber Dance Stamps.

 

I started with 4 cuts of the Sizzix Die “Mini Cabinet Card” and applied distress in in Brushed Corduroy and Pine needles, spritzed & flicked with water.

I randomly stamped with the set of nature prints called Pines Fir Yew and embossed with clear embossing powder and cut out the snowflake in the upper section.

The words were cut with the Sizzix die *Holiday Words Script*, I added some Perfect Pearls Mist “Biscotti” for a little sparkle.

  For the windows I cut 4 circles from vellum and glued them on the back.

 I punched holes in all for cabinets and added hemp twine.

 

 

This makes a little gift, easy to send by mail, 
since it’s all flat or just as a take along present.

 

I suggest using battery tea light, since the vellum tends to curl itself up a bit when it gets too warm!

 This is the cozy light you will have at night!

Falling Leaves

For the challenge at A Vintage Journey I created a medium size ATB with Tim Holtz Falling Leaves stamps. They fit perfectly on this size of cube.

I coloured with Distress Ink Peeled paint and Rusty Hinge. To the stamped leaves I added some Rub Ons from the Botanical sheet.

I was inspired to make this ATB by the theme "Bountiful Harvest" on the A Vintage Journey challenge blog.

There are some amazing creations from their DT!

BTW: Anyone also planning on adding a brad, please do this before you assemble the cube. I didn't, so mine looks a bit wonky now :(
